MOMAGER

🪩

The Momager studio had this cozy, lived-in kind of charm — the sort that made you feel like you were about to have a conversation in someone's living room instead of on a podcast with thousands of listeners. The walls were abstract and wooded, the tv in the back read MOMAGER, the white rug in the middle soft to the touch.

Diana settled into one of the big, overstuffed red chairs that faced the camera setup. It was so comfortable she joked that she might fall asleep before they started. Malachi chuckled from beside her, slouching casually in his own chair, one hand tapping the mic stand out of habit. Across from them sat Felicia — elegant as ever in her flowy cardigan and gold hoop earrings — flipping through her note cards with a smile that said she was both prepared and ready to go off-script at any second.

Behind the camera, Loren sat at the tech desk, adjusting the levels on his laptop, a headset perched on his head. He had a mug of coffee in one hand, a mischievous grin in the other.

Felicia looked over at them. "Alright, everybody ready?"

"Born ready," Malachi said, already leaning toward the mic.

Diana smirked. "I feel like that's his line every time."

Felicia laughed softly. "Oh, it absolutely is."

From behind the tech setup, Loren raised a hand. "Audio rolling in three... two..."

The Recording light above the camera flicked on.

Felicia's warm, practiced voice filled the space. "Hey everyone, welcome back to Momager! I'm one of your hosts, Felicia, and with me as always is my favorite human and occasional handful—"

"Occasional?" Loren muttered under his breath, and Felicia's eyes immediately flicked toward him.

"—my son and co-host, Malachi!" she finished brightly.

Malachi grinned into the mic. "What's up, guys?"

"And of course," Felicia continued, gesturing toward the corner, "our behind-the-scenes tech mastermind, my wonderful husband, Loren!"

Loren waved toward the camera without looking up. "Running the show, as usual."

Malachi leaned in. "Dad's just mad Mom hasn't let him have his own segment yet."

Felicia shot him a look. "He already gets the entire garage. That's his segment."

Diana giggled, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.

Felicia smiled warmly at her. "And today, we have a very special guest joining us — someone who's become like family to us over these past few months. She's an incredible dancer, an amazing human, and yes, the one who tries to keep our Malachi humble—"

"Keyword tries," Loren quipped, earning laughter from all three of them.

Felicia beamed. "Everyone, please welcome the amazing Diana Sinclair!"

"Hi, guys!" Diana said, waving toward the camera. "I'm so excited to be here! It feels surreal."

Felicia clasped her hands together. "We are so happy you're here, sweetheart. Honestly, we've been trying to schedule this forever."

Malachi chuckled. "Yeah, because every time we tried, she was like, 'Sorry, I have dance,' or 'Sorry, I have shoot,' or—"

"Oh my gosh, stop! It was not like that!" Diana said as she leaned over to lightly smack his arm.

Everyone burst out laughing.

"Well," Felicia said, still laughing. "We're lucky she squeezed us in."

Diana smiled, cheeks flushing. "No, I love you guys. This was an immediate yes."

"So," Felicia began, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "Let's start from the beginning. You're an incredible dancer, Diana — I mean, we've seen you perform. When did that start for you?"

Diana leaned forward slightly, smiling at the memory. "I started when I was about 7. My mom put me in a ballet class first because I had way too much energy. Then a new studio opened and we switched there and that's where I started ballroom. I fell in love with it right away, and it kind of grew from there — jazz, contemporary, hip hop... I've done it all at some point."

Felicia's eyes widened. "So you're one of those rare people who can do everything!"

Malachi nodded proudly. "She's insane. Like, we'll be watching a show and she'll just start breaking down choreography like she's choreographing for Beyoncé or something."

Diana playfully rolled her eyes. "That's not true."

Felicia smirked. "Oh, I believe it. You've got that 'I choreograph in my head' look right now."

Diana laughed. "Maybe a little."

They talked for a while about her dance background — the long rehearsals, the early competitions, and the moment she fell in love with ballroom. Felicia listened intently, occasionally glancing at Malachi, who looked like he was trying not to grin too proudly every time Diana spoke.

Eventually, Felicia leaned in with that mischievous spark in her eyes. "Okay, so we have to talk about you two."

Malachi groaned softly, already smiling. "Here we go."

Diana laughed nervously. "Oh no."

Felicia feigned innocence. "What? The people want to know! You two are basically the internet's favorite couple right now."

Loren spoke up with a smile, "We've had requests. Many, many requests."

"Oh, I bet you have," Malachi muttered.

"Alright," Felicia said, flipping to her first card of notes. "First question: what has it been like dating someone who lives half their life on camera and the other half on stage?"

Diana laughed immediately. "Honestly? It's... surprisingly fun. He's always doing something new, and somehow, I get dragged into half of it."

Malachi gasped dramatically. "Dragged?! You volunteer!"

"Uh-huh," Diana teased. "Remind me who convinced me to go on Pucker Up again?"

"Oh, that's right," Felicia said, smirking. "You two went viral for that."

Diana groaned, laughing. "Unfortunately, yes. We filmed it after he got back from Vancouver, and it was supposed to be just a cute little thing—"

"—but then you totally destroyed me with the sour candy," Malachi said, pretending to look offended.

Felicia's eyes sparkled. "I saw that! You handled it like a champ, Diana."

"I love sour things!" Diana said, laughing. "He was dramatic."

"I wasn't dramatic," Malachi argued, pointing a finger at her. "That candy was literally illegal-level sour."

"You made a noise I can't even describe," she teased. "It was like a cat and a frog had a baby."

Felicia started laughing so hard she had to put her note cards down. "Oh my gosh. We need to see that."

From the corner, Loren's amused voice came through. "I've got the clip queued up if anyone needs a visual."

Malachi groaned. "Dad, please don't."

Felicia clapped her hands. "Play it!"

The big screen behind them flickered to life, showing the now-iconic clip — Malachi puckering up mid-candy, eyes squinted shut, practically falling out of frame while Diana chewed calmly beside him, laughing hysterically.

The entire room erupted. Even Malachi couldn't help laughing at himself. "Okay, that's fair," he admitted between laughs.

Felicia wiped a tear from her eye. "That will never get old."

When the laughter died down, Felicia leaned closer to the mic again. "So, next question, what's it been like balancing everything — touring, filming, life — and still finding time for each other?"

Diana smiled softly. "Honestly, it's been really natural. We both have crazy schedules, but we make it work. He's one of my favorite people to hang out with, so even when we're tired or miles apart, it's easy."

Malachi smiled at her, resting his chin in his hand. "She's the planner. I just show up."

"Barely," Diana teased.

"Hey, I'm punctual!"

Felicia snorted. "Oh honey, no you're not."

The room broke into laughter again.

Diana turned to Felicia. "It depends on what it is. I've started telling him times that are thirty minutes earlier just so he's on time."

Loren called from the back, "That's what we do too."

Malachi threw his hands up. "Wow..."

Felicia grinned. "We're just keeping you honest."

Once everyone settled again, Felicia asked, "Okay, now we have to talk about the Mackinac Island trip. The pictures, the scenery, I'm obsessed."

"Oh my gosh, it was the best week," Diana said, instantly lighting up. "My family does it every year — we stay at the Grand Hotel, ride bikes, eat way too much fudge. And this year was extra special because Malachi came with us."

Felicia smiled softly. "I remember when you told me you were inviting him. I was so excited for you guys."

Diana nodded, glancing at Malachi. "He met my parents for the first time that week."

"And survived," Loren chimed in.

"Barely," Malachi joked. "I was so nervous. Like, I've done red carpets, live shows, interviews — but meeting her parents? That was next-level pressure."

Felicia tilted her head. "And how did it go?"

Malachi smiled, remembering. "They were incredible. Her mom hugged me right away before I even said hi, and her dad pretended to be all serious but totally broke into a smile after two seconds."

Diana laughed. "He was so nervous. It was cute. But they loved him instantly."

Felicia clasped her hands. "See? I told you, parents love him."

Loren's voice came through again. "Because he's just a golden retriever in human form."

Malachi pointed toward the back. "You're not wrong."

Felicia looked at Diana. "And how was Mackinac itself?"

Diana's face softened. "It's my favorite place in the world. No cars, just horses and bikes. The air smells like fudge, and it's so peaceful. It's the kind of place where time slows down."

Malachi grinned. "And where horse poop smells like destiny."

Diana burst out laughing. "Oh my gosh! Don't remind me. He could not get over the smell when we got off the ferry."

"I was not expecting it!" he protested. "You can't just go from fresh air to horse manure in one inhale!"

Felicia was laughing so hard she could barely speak. "This is amazing."

"Hey," Diana said, smiling at him, "you got used to it by day three."

"Barely," he said, holding up a finger. "But the fudge helped."

Felicia leaned forward with mock seriousness. "Speaking of fudge — what's the best flavor?"

"Double chocolate," Diana said instantly.

"Mint," Malachi argued.

Felicia gasped. "Ooh, debate time!"

"You're both wrong," Loren called. "Chocolate walnut. Classic."

"Dad!" Malachi laughed. "No one even asked you!"

"You're welcome," Loren said smugly.

Felicia was still laughing when she leaned back in her chair. "Okay, this might be my favorite episode yet."

After a few more minutes of playful back-and-forth, Felicia flipped her cards of notes again. "Alright, before we wrap up — we've got some rapid-fire questions. You two ready?"

Diana grinned. "Let's do it."

Malachi straightened up. "Born ready."

Felicia smirked. "We'll see about that. Okay — who takes longer to get ready?"

"Malachi," Diana said immediately.

He looked offended. "Excuse me?!"

"I'm always waiting on you. You spend longer on your hair than I do."

"Presentation matters!" he shot back.

Felicia laughed. "Next question: who's the better cook?"

"Oh, me," Malachi said confidently.

"Absolutely not," Diana said. "You set off my smoke alarm trying to make pasta."

"It was an ambitious recipe!"

Felicia was doubled over laughing now. "Okay, okay, next question — who's more likely to start a dance battle in public?"

"Diana," Malachi said immediately.

Diana grinned. "Guilty."

"Last question," Felicia said, glancing at her cards. "What's one thing you love most about each other?"

The room went quiet for a second — not awkwardly, but softly.

Malachi smiled at her. "Her heart. She's the most caring person I know. She loves people so deeply, and she always makes everyone feel seen."

Diana's cheeks turned pink, and she looked down briefly before meeting his gaze again. "He's genuine. What you see is what you get. He's funny and chaotic and just... full of light. You can't help but love being around him."

Felicia smiled warmly. "You two are the cutest."

From behind the camera, Loren fake-sniffled. "I'm not crying, it's allergies."

Everyone laughed, breaking the tenderness just enough.

Felicia sat back, clasping her hands together. "Alright, before we close out, Diana, I know you have something exciting to share."

Diana nodded, smiling. "Yes! I can officially say that I'm coming back to Dancing With the Stars as a pro for my second season."

Felicia gasped and clapped instantly. "That's incredible! Oh my gosh, congratulations!"

"Thank you!" Diana said, beaming.

Loren smiled from behind her. "That's huge, Diana. Proud of you!"

Malachi smiled wide, reaching over to give her hand a squeeze. "They'd be crazy not to have you back."

Felicia leaned closer. "We're so, so proud of you. You've worked so hard, and you deserve it all."

Diana's smile was soft, grateful. "That means the world. Thank you."

Felicia looked to the camera. "And on that beautiful note — we're going to wrap things up before I start crying again. Thank you so much for joining us, Diana. You're officially part of the Momager family forever."

Diana laughed. "I already feel like I am."

Malachi grinned. "Best guest ever."

Felicia side-eyed him. "You said that about Mk."

"Still true," he said with a smirk.

The outro music began to play softly under their laughter.

"Alright everyone," Felicia said into the mic, smiling. "Be sure to like, subscribe, and check out Diana this coming season on Dancing With the Stars!"

"And send us fudge," Loren added in the background.

Felicia pointed toward the camera. "You heard him."

As the Recording light dimmed and everyone started moving, Felicia stood and walked over to Diana, wrapping her in a tight hug.

"You were amazing," Felicia said, smiling warmly. "I love having you here."

"I love being here," Diana said, hugging her back.

Malachi came up beside them, slinging an arm around Diana's shoulders. "Told you Mom wouldn't embarrass you too much."

Felicia grinned. "Oh, I'm saving that for the holiday episode."

From behind the desk, Loren called, "And I'm already queuing up the Pucker Up clip again."

The room filled with laughter — easy, full, and bright.

And as the studio lights dimmed and Felicia started collecting her cards, Diana realized that this — the warmth, the teasing, the laughter that never really stopped — was exactly what she needed.
