"when are you getting back?" devon mumbled as she delicately wrapped her arms around his waist from behind. he was on the kitchen drinking some coffee before he had to leave for practice.

"by eight pm, i think. the guys want to hang out after, do you wanna come with?" he hummed, warming her hands with his own as she clinged into him.

"can't you just stay here with me?" she mumbled in his neck, sighing contendly when he turned in her arms and swiftly lifted her up.

"i wish baby but i gotta go train so i can stay super strong and you won't have to walk anywhere anymore" he grinned, holding all her weight with one arm while he brushed her hair with his unoccupied hand.

"i like the sound of that. you can just carry me everywhere" she scrunched her nose, tightening her legs on his waist slightly.

"yeah? you like that?" he mused, dipping to kiss her neck while moving both of his hands to her ass.

"stop! you don't have time for that" she laughed, hitting him gently on the chest as if to push him away.

"i always have time for you"

"not today. go, have a good day" she grinned, giving him a quick peck on the lips before climbing down and pushing him away, giving him a slap on the ass in the way "drive safely. i love you"

"i love you dev. i'll text you later"

as the door closed behind him, the house turned silent. she didn't mind it, she loved this house. she had even started to consider it her house too, their house. but the feeling of loneliness still crept. it was mainly because she spent the majority of the day without doing much.

she plopped down on the couch with a big sigh, grabbing the tv remote to put her millionth grey's anatomy rewatch.

thankfully, her phone ringing distracted her. she grinned as she saw the photo and contact name, quickly accepting the call.

"hey z"

"so guess what? i was talking with molly and she's coming to anaheim. also, when were you gonna tell me sunny moved in with jule? i was so surprised. are they official or are they still pretending they don't like each other?" trevor rambled, completely disregarding her greeting. he seemed to be in a rush, he was talking way too fast, though that was normal for trevor. she supposed he must be nervous or he's actually in a rush.

"hello trevor! they are official as of a month ago" devon grinned, excitement filling her veins at the new couple.

"what! what the fuck!"

"they've been really lowkey about it all. i think only me and molly know, and quinn" devon hummed, acknowledging that maybe she shouldn't have told him, everyone was bound to find out anyway. jule wanted to do a soft launch on social media but everyone in their friend group knew he was head over heels for sunny, it would be pretty obvious.

"of course quinn knows. anyway, i was thinking of asking molly when she comes, you know? to be my girlfriend" he informed her, his voice muffled as if he was biting his nails. it was then devon realized he was nervous, and she understood why.

"oh my god! yes. you have to do it. and call me when you do so i can hear everything" she exclaimed excitedly, tucking her legs under her.

"weirdo and do you really think it's a good idea? i don't wanna rush things and i don't know if she wants a long distance relationship. i can't exactly move and i don't wanna force her to either" trevor explained, pacing in the bathroom of the arena. he'd been practicing when he had the idea and he needed to share it immediately, hence the call.

"you have to stop rambling. i'm certain she'll say yes. she cares about you a lot and by the way, i don't think she'll mind the long distance. it just makes seeing each other again much more meaningful" she encouraged, knowing they both loved each other. everyone around her was finding hapiness, it made her happy.

"i'm suppressing the shiver that went down my spine at your suggestion" trevor mumbled making devon laugh out loud "okay, i'll do it. if something goes wrong i'll just tell her it was a prank and that it was your idea"

"don't you dare" she groaned, knowing that even if molly wouldn't believe him he would still blame her.

"i have to go. thank you devy, i'll let you know the details later. bye!"

"trevor!"
