julien has been at the store with her for almost three hours.

that day was unusually slow, so the bestfriends were able to spend the majority of the day talking and gossiping with each other.

"julien, this is killing me. what the fuck is going on with you and sunny?" she asked when she finally got sick of the silence.

molly and devon had been theorizing what was exactly going on but just when they had a firm theory julien or sunny would do something to contradict it.

"i like her" he said nonchalantly. missing the way devon's eyes widened.

"how did you just throw that at me!" she exclaimed sitting up from the little loveseat.

"i know my feelings, unlike you" he rolled his eyes, not even bating an eye at her.

"low blow but i'll ignore it. this is so exciting! i knew it was just a matter of time" she gushed, feeling excited for her two friends. they were honestly a match made in heaven, in her opinion.

"what do you mean?" he asked confusedly.

"you've liked her since you met her" she claimed, saying it like it was common knowledge.

"of course i did, there's a reason we're friends" he rolled his eyes, again.

"no dumbass, i meant, like her romantically" she phrased, sitting on the edge of the loveseat.

"no way, not since i met her" he said, not believing the words coming out of his bestfriends mouth.

"yes! you literally had heart eyes for a while" she laughed, waving her arms around.

"there's no way. i've known her for a little over a year devon" he protested.

"maybe you just got no game" she shrugged, trying to keep her smile off her face.

"look who's talking ms. i'm still in love with my ex" he laughed, finally breaking out of his bored exterior.

"low blow, again. but i'll ignore it, again"

"i don't know if she likes me back though" he muttered, sitting up from the couch.

"i think she does, usually she would insult you all the time but i've noticed she has toned it down a bit"

"you're crazy devon" he shut down, not liking how she was basing off little things like that.

"i'm not, listen to me. i know things, it's called female intuition" she grinned, a hundred percent believing in it. it had worked multiple times.

"i have so many situations in mind where that 'female intuition' failed you" he snorted, side eyeing her.

"i hate you"

"love you too"

"oh, by the way. i'm going to vancouver in a couple days" she mentioned, standing up from the seat and going to the counter to keep her gaze away from jule.

"going for?" he frowned, confused as to why she was going.

"luke's birthday" she elaborated, messing with the computer to appear busy even if she knew she definitely wasn't fooling julien.

"when are you coming back?" he asked, standing up from the couch, crossing his arms.

"i'm not sure yet, it's only for a couple days though" she shrugged, acting nonchalant.

"sure, whatever. just tell me when you're there. and who you're with. i don't want the responsibility in my conscience if you get killed" he said, going over to one of the rows of books to grab one.
