Chapter 2: The Big Day

A few days later, and it was the day of the big move.

SMG4: I can't believe it guys! It's the big day!

Boopkins: Yeah! I can't wait to see the new castle.

Tari: Yeah! It's going to be amazing. 

Mario: But I will miss this place. Especially messing around with Peach.

SMG4: Oh yeah. Good Times. Good Times.

Luigi: Too bad my Flower shop and my house got blown up. Nothing to do in my spare time.

SMG4: It's okay. You can live with us for a while until you get things sorted out.

Luigi: Thanks, It's great to have friends like you.

SMG4: Don't mention it. This is our castle. Not just mine.

Meggy: So, you guys are moving today.

SMG4: The professional movers are getting our stuff into the uhauls. 

Boopkins: That's great.

SMG4: Hopefully we will be good to go soon.

Tari: Nice.

At the showgrounds...

Police Chief: Alright, you know the job. But what do we do about this castle?

Auri: Just conduct the investigations and leave it. It won't get in our way.

Police Chief: There could be a lot of evidence hiding under. We can't take any risks

Auri: You are saying we should DESTROY THEIR HOME?

Police Chief: Its for the safe-

Auri: Safety of the people. I know, but come on. Are we really going to ruin someone's day?

Police Chief: We have to. I understand they are quite close friends to you but for the sake of them and everyone around, it's what we do. They will have to bring it up to the office for compensation.

Auri: *sighs*  Fine, but if we don't find anything it would be terrible.

Mr Monitor: Chief, he has a point. These guys have a whole operation. People only know what they need to and after, their memory for the last few days gets wiped. They are obviously smart. 

Police Chief: They can't be that smart. Truely we will find something.

Mr Monitor: Alright, what did the anti-terror department say about this?

Police Chief: They have nothing to work with. 

Mr Monitor: Really? This could affect everyone in the whole world and they have nothing?

Police Chief: Welp, We might as well cut the small talk and put the police tape around the perimeter.

Auri: Alright.

Back at the castle:

SMG4: I wonder what's on the news today. 

FM: Breaking News! The Mushroom Kingdom Police Department has issued a statement on the terrible events that unfolded days before Christmas. 

FM: They have said, and I quote: "We unfortunately have not found the criminals responsible for these acts but, we are working around the clock with other departments and hope to be able to bring these people to justice."

SMG4: What?! They have so many resources and time and they have nothing?

Luigi: This is insane! They could pull something terrible again!

SMG4: I know!

Tari: Give them time. They have to deal with small cases in the kingdom and this case.

Luigi: And what about my flower shop? What is their plan for the people who were affected?

Saiko: Just listen to the broadcast.

FM (on TV): They have also stated that "businesses, churches, and other places affected by the damage will be contacted by welfare services to assist during this terrible time."

Luigi: The government is going to splurge a lot of money if they want to make things right with everyone. The cleanup hasn't even started due to possible tampering with evidence. 

FM (on TV): Some people are conspiring that the FBI is not involved with the investigations. We asked the MKPD for comment but as of the time of this broadcast they have not responded.

SMG4: This has to be a joke. No freaking FBI?

Luigi: Its just conspiracy theories. I'm sure the government is on it. 

SMG4: You can only hope. 

Tari: Anyways... Should we get going soon?

SMG4: Probably a good idea. Let me check up on the Movers

Mover: Hey, SMG4.

SMG4: Hello. So do we have everything?

Mover: I'm afraid not. I'm sure we will get it done by lunchtime.

SMG4: Alright then. 

SMG4: Yknow, while we wait should we go see the castle?

Everyone: Sure!

SMG4: Alright then. 

The gang made their way to the new castle. 

SMG4: Alright, We should be at the castle in a few minutes.

Melony: That's great to hear.

Luigi: Can't wait to see it!

Tari: Yeah! It will look nice.

SMG4: I hope.

Tari: Don't worry honey, I'm sure that everything will be fine

SMG4: Yeah, I guess you are right.
