Friends

After that day I learned that they had Gaming night like that Every weekend. I tried to make it to as many As I could but some days I just couldn't. Like today, I had to go to the Heartslabyul Tea Party. After the Party I had promised to help Jack with his Cacti. He apparently had gained more during the break from his family and needed help taking them to the Botanical Gardens for some good sun. After that Master Crewel requested I look in on the Beasts for him as he had to leave this weekend for something important. 

It was a Rather Busy day. When Idiia said I could join this Gaming session I had to Decline much to my Dismay. He looked hurt but nodded that it was ok. I felt terrible. I really wanted to hang out with him but with everyone else and my responsibilities I just couldn't this weekend. I would go next week for sure but this time I just had to much do. 

The tea party was a lot of fun as it always was. Riddle had gotten better about being a Protectionist. The mouse had indeed awoken during the party and had to be put back to sleep. Ace had caused three tables to topple over when Grim tied his shoe laces to the bottom of one. Cake ended up on me and Deuce so After the Chaos party I had to run home and change. This left me running late to Jack. He understood in his own way. Jack was known for saying the Opposite of what he felt. so when He said He was pissed about having to be late to get his Plants to the garden I knew he actually wasn't.

 We got them done and there. After checking on the Campus Beasts I would have had to come back and help him take them back. I did have to stop him from throwing away one of Jades logs again. Honestly you would think he learned from last time. Epel however showed up and said he would help him take them back instead. I was grateful. It made my day Easier. Moving to the beasts The Kelpies were doing well in their lake. They only had to come out once a year for Orientation after all. I feed them their meat and using my protective gloves I pet their heads. As long as you didn't disturb them they were wonderful Creatures.

Next was to check on the Resident Faeries, All were doing well in their gardens and flames. It was hard to understand them but if you Listened well enough you could make words from the small Bell like noises they gave out. Then there were the Ghosts which while were known as Humanoid were still considered Beasts in their own Right. The Ghosts were well. They asked me to tell Crewel they needed more kitchen supplies. Honestly I'm not sure why HeadMaster Crowley was even Headmaster besides being a Higher ranking Mage then Crewel. Crewel was the one who did most of the work around here.

I looked at my list. I had to still check on the Beasts in the east forest. We had a pack of Canine Beasts running around that needed to be checked on every so often as to make sure they didn't get on Campus, Then I would check on the Banshees, While considered a subclass of Ghosts they were tricky to talk to. One had to wear eat plugs like you did with Mandrakes as their Voices could cause you to pass out. while Mandrakes were a simple pass out Banshees were known to Kidnap. I would have to be careful. The Canine beasts were doing well. I looked down at them from me perch.

They were far enough away from campus not to cause an issue. The Alpha looked at me and Bared his neck. A sign of submission to the Beast tamers. It was his way of telling me He was making sure to keep to his word. One of my first Lessons with Crewel was challenging this Alpha. I had one but gotten Bite. It hurt for days on my shoulder after that but worth it now that I was doing me job. 

Moving on I grabbed my ear phones and searched for the Banshees. There were three in total. all preferred to live in the darker parts of the forest. They did not like day light but it was better to come during the say as night strengthened them much as it did every Beast. I found the pack of them near a well. This was likely were one of them Died. It saddened me to think that this was because someone had died and grew so upset they cried for days. Died alone and sad turning them into this. The first Banshee flew to me and bowed her head.

"Beast Tamer Yuu, what a surprise. Where is your Companion today?" This was a tricky question. I should not let them know I am alone.

"Off checking on the Hounds. He will catch up with me soon. How are you today Lady Alita?" She smirked gently touching me head phones. I stood still. Flinching would show she could Unnerve me. I could not allow that to happen.

"Goodness leaving such a sweet child alone. Well we shale watch you for now. We are well dear Yuu, We have been keeping to our agreement" I nodded. The other two looked up. Lady Mila and Lady Arina. Both were followers in their Nature. They would follow Alita's words always.

"That is good to know. Is there anything we can do to make your stay in our forests better?" Let them know they are not the owners of the forest. That they were guests. It would keep them on their toes. These were territorial creatures and this allowed students to come into the forests with out much danger.

"Oh so accommodating dear one. Well there is one thing. You could stay with us" I shook my head. This was normal. They would always request us to stay with them. Banshees were lonely creatures. Alita was a mother before she died. she had a caring nature however it was misplaced. 

"I am afraid I can not stay today Lady Alita, I have others to check on as well." She pouted.

"You never stay long" I chuckled and bowed to her.

"I apologize my Lady, However it is my Duty to take care of all the beasts in this forest as You know." She nodded and placed a hand on my cheek. Honestly If she was not a Evil being. She was truly worried for me. It was just in her Nature to kidnap who she believed needed her help. A way to protect them. 

"Dear one please at least be careful." I nodded and waved to move on to the next Beast. The next was the resident Nokken. Similar to their Nixie cousin, Nokken were however Tricksters. They loved luring many into their waters. The Nokken knows as Ragnar. Even with my headphones on I heard his violin. Nokken were known for their beautiful playing.

"Greetings Ragnar" I said. He paused and looked at me. His green mossy skin seemed to almost be apart of the Lake he swam in.

"Greetings Tamer Yuu, What brings you to my watery abode?" I smiled gently.

"Check up day I'm afraid. I've come to see how you are doing and if you need anything?" He shook his head.

"No the water is perfectly Icey and the Fish supply is wonderful as always" I nodded and bowed slightly before moving to head on.

'Tamer yuu" I paused and turned looking at him.

"Yes?" He smiled slightly.

"You have a glow to you today" I blinked confused.

'A-aglow?" He nodded

"Yes, Have you made a friend perhaps? You always seem to brighten when you make a new human friend" I blushed and turned quickly.

"W-well I should be off, Good day Ragnar!" I could hear his laugh as I quickly made my way out of the Forest. By the time I was done with everything It was close to Sunset. Breathing out a Sign I made my way to my dorm to start on Dinner. Opening my door I saw Hyde, Idiia, Ortho, and Grim waiting for me. I blinked confused.

"Yuu! Your back!!" I looked at Ortho who flew over to me smiling his masked covered smile.

"O-Ortho? Idiia? W-what brings you here?" Idiia blushed and looked at Hyde who was laying on the floor asleep.

"W-we had to walk hyde, H-hes gotten better sense being outside but we-" 

"We thought we could come and see how your day was doing!? We heard you had a long day doing your duties for Master Crewel!" I blushed and nodded.

'Y-yes it was Check up day s-so I had to check on all the beasts. Normally Master Crewel Accompanies me today however he had a meeting and couldn't" Idiia nodded.

"did it go alright" I gave a soft smile and nodded.

"Yes, Everyone is doing well. I'll have to check again next month but this month atleast everyone is doing well" Ortho grinned.

"oh! Sense you both are here, Would you um... Like to stay for dinner?" They blinked at me and looked at each other.

'I-Is that ok? I-I mean we can just grab something form the cafeteria! Its rude to make them cook after they've been walking all day. I should just go so I don't cause trouble" I put my hand on Idiia's arm.

'Please join us? It's better to have friends to eat with then Just Grim and I" He blushed and nodded.

"O-OK" I smiled brightly before walking to the kitchen. Idiia and Ortho came with Grim however was napping by Hyde. It Brought me joy to see him and Hyde getting along now. 

"Anything you like?" Idiia blinked and Ortho stood up.

'Oh Idiia doesn't like Raw Fish and prefers sweets" Idiia blushed.

"O-ortho!" Ortho however looked at him confused.

"Ok, How about a stew pot then? I can make some Sweets for after as well?" Idiia looked surprised and nodded.

"T-thats ok" I nodded and started working. It was easy to do and finish. I put the pot down and and set the plates down. Grim ran in as Hyde ran and sat at the table his tail hitting the ground. I laughed and pet Hydes head.

"Good boy. Wait and I'll make you something you can have" I moved and got Grim his tuna, and Hyde some meat and Sweet potato. After everyone had their food we all sat and ate. It was a quiet afar. 

"How did the Game go today?" Idiia looked up at me and picked at his food.

"N-not well. some one stole from our camp" I winced and nodded.

"I'm sorry" He shook his head.

"It's fine Ortho is already looking for the cuprite and we're gonna raid then later" I smiled at that. it was a common thing in the Game for people to Raid other's camps and  steal their things. It was hard to find out who did it. Idiia and Ortho however always figured it out in the end though. Whoever steals from them is in for their whole Camp to get stolen in the end.

"Hopefully they have something good worth stealing then." Idiia nodded.

"Agreed," After food I sat with Idiia as he pulled out his portable game to show me what he had gotten done. It was a calm night. I felt my eyes grow heavy and before I knew it I had fallen asleep.

When I woke up I saw Idiia had also fallen asleep. His head on top of mine. For Having fire hair besides from being rather warm it wasn't burning me. I was happy for that. Ortho was no where to be seen though. Grim wasn't either however he probably went back up to our room to sleep. Hyde was sleeping on the floor though. I smiled gently and blushed as Idiia snuggled closer to me. I yelped as he fell to a laying position leaving me to fall with him. 

"sorry...m..sorry" I looked at Idiia was talking in his sleep. I looked at him sadly. What was he sorry for? He had such a pained expression on his face. Should I wake him up? I felt him pull me into a tight hug.

"Don't....no..sorry" I reached up and rubbed the tears falling from his cheeks. A stray one hit his hair leaving a small steam to come from it.

'It's ok, I wont go" I felt him relax but didn't let me go. Looks like I was like this till morning. Might as well head back to sleep. closing my eyes I felt my self fall back asleep. Tomorrow was atleast a weekend. I didn't have to worry about us being late.

When I woke up next I was alone on the couch. rubbing my eyes I sniffed and smelled something cooking. Moving to the kitchen I saw Idiia with his jacket wrapped around his face cooking.

'I didn't know you could cook" I said blinking. Idiia jumped and looked back pulling his hands to his chest.

"S-sorry! I should have asked right? right I-I just I wanna say S-sorry for falling asleep on you and um" I shook my head stopping him.

I-Its ok Idiia, It happens. I-If any one is sorry I am hehe. I fell asleep first." He blushed.

"B-Besides your always welcome to use my kitchen i-if you want. What are you making?" He looked down at the food and rubbed the back of his neck.

"J-Just some Omurice" I looked at it and saw some cute Bears made with the rice it looked like he had been about to place the Egg on top. I smiled at how cute it looked.

"S-sorry for disturbing your cooking then. This looks amazing" He blushed worse placing the Egg over the Rice bear and handing me my plate.

"H-H-Here!" I blinked and smiled at it.

'Thank you, Idiia" He blushed worse moving to sit at the table. It wasn't long until Ortho holding a sleepy Grim like a teddy bear walked in. I smiled at then chuckling at how cute they looked.

"O-Ortho, I forgot about your charger! Are you doing ok?' Ortho smiled tiredly at him.

"I'm fine, I headed back to the dorm for a short while to recharge before coming back later on" Idiia nodded sighing relived.

"Charger?" I whispered. But didn't pry. It wasn't my business after all. Ortho sat with us but just as he did last night he didn't eat. It was worrying but I tried not to say anything. His mask must make it hard for him to eat or maybe he was embarrassed about eating in front of people. I never saw them eat in the cafeteria after all. 

After eating The Ignihyde residents decided to head out. I gave them a small wave promising to come see them soon. It was Sunday and I had some house work todo. Grim watched me with a big grin on his face.

"OOOh so thats what's going on" I blinked and looked down at him.

'Yuu I didn't know you were looking for a mate" I swear my face turned red faster then a Ruggie runs!

"I-I'm not!! I mean- I can't be... He- I" Grim laughed and I pouted with a small glare at him. RUde! Idiia was not going to be my mate! I didn't even think he really liked me alot. He probably just put up with me. I was just a nuisance he couldn't seem to shake.  He probably would never like me like that...

Right?
