chapter 35

Tobias' POV

After school I went out into the car park and saw Tris about to get on her motorbike. "Tris hang on!" I shout. Her head snaps round to me and she smiles at me. "hey" I run across to her, grab her waist, lift her up and spin her around. When I place her down I give her a slow sweet kiss. I don't exactly know why but I feel extra happy to see her. I have an idea! When we pull apart she looks at me weirdly. "Not that I'm complaining, you know I love you but why are you so happy?" I chuckle. "I don't know" Then I laugh, i feel really weird and happy, and giddy, and... peaceful. "anyway I was thinking, do you want to go ice skating later?" she looks quite worried. "I would love to but are you okay, you seem creepily happy." I poke her nose. "you're so pretty, you know right?" "I'm not, but thank you" I gasp, how could she think that. I suddenly go serious. "Tris you are the most beautiful person ever, I love all of your perfect imperfections, yes I did steal that from all of me, shut up, you are gorgeous and. love you so much, don't ever doubt any of that" she gives me a kiss. Then I feel giddy again, and burst out laughing. "Tris why am I so mental right now?"" she shakes her head. "I don't know, but you might want to ask Zeke" she says pointing to Zeke and Uriah, rolling on the floor laughing. We both walk over and Tris speaks. "guys did you put him on peace syrum?" they both nod, still laughing. "that looks like fun!" then I burst out laughing and start rolling on the floor too, which makes them laugh even harder. Then I stop laughing. And feel serious. The syrum has worn off! "I AM GOING TO KILL YOU TWO!" I scream. They both jump upp, with terror in their eyes and start running. "I'll be back soon, go on with out me" i say to Tris. "I was going to!" she says, going to and getting on her her motorbike. I watch her go, I think I have given them enough time to get away so I start running. I am catching up with them so I put on a spurt and tackle them. I tickle them until they are begging me to stop. Then I grab my water from my bag and pour it over them. Satisfied with my work, I leave them on the ground and walk back home.

I arrive home and run inside. "Hello Four" says Natalie. "Hi Natalie, where's Tris?" "she's with Caleb, in his room" I thank her and go upstairs. I knock on Caleb's door and Tris opens it. "oh, hey Four, come on thanks Caleb love you!" he laughs and gets back to whatever nerd thing he was doing. "so, you still up for skating later, and then we can go to El Velero for dinner?" I ask. "lovely, but I was thinking, we haven't really done anything as a group for a while, so could we all go skating, and then just me and you go to the restaurant?" That is actually true. "of course" I say. She stands on tip toes and kisses me, which ends up being a make out session until we hear someone clear their throat. We jump apart and see Andrew standing next to us. We both blush a furious red. "Mr Prior I- ah-er we..." he laughs at my feeble attempt to speak. "anyway, Bea, where's your brother?" "in his room, if not he said he was going to the basement." he nods and walks away. We both burst out laughing and text the gang.
