chapter 9

Tris' POV

*time lapse-1 month later*

I was walking to art with Chris when suddenly she stopped and squealed. "What!?" I asked, I thought she was dying or something. "dance... at end ... of half term" she then fake fainted and I caught her. "you know what this means?" she asked. "noo...?" "SHOPPING!!!" oh no, I hate shopping!!! I groaned. "I have to tell Mar, Shauna and Lynn!!!" something tells me that Lynn and me are going to hate this. but then again, I'll probably go with Four and i would like to look nice. "fine, I'll ask if we can make it into a sleepover tonight." Chris smiled and hugged me. what have I done? we carried on to art and I went and sat next to Four. "hey, do you fancy coming to the Dauntless Diner after school today" he asked, nervously. "oh i can't tonight, I promised chris that i would go shopping for the dance at the end of half term. sorry, but tomorrow maybe" Why did I agree to shopping. "yeah, sure, but I just realized it would b our first date, therefore it will be somewhere much better than the dauntless diner." he said grinning. "Oh Four, you don't need to do anything that special for me." he was so sweet. "yes I do, it needs to be as special as you." i smiled and gave him a quick peck on the cheek and a hug. Then Tori came in. "Okay class, today i would like you to draw a portrait of the person sitting next to you." I turned to Four. "You'll get sick of drawing me soon" h laughed. "never".

*time lapse*

After school, I waited outside for the other to come, first came Chris. "hey, my mum said I could have a sleepover." "YAY!!!" then the others came out. "hey guys, I can have a sleepover so if you all drive back to your places, get your things, then I'll pick you up, we can take my car to the mall and then back to my place. "are you sure your mum's okay with all of us?" I nodded. "Tris' house is huge!" exclaimed Chris. everyone piled into their cars and drove off. When i got home I set up a load of air beds in my room, it takes up half of one floor and Caleb's take up the other half, then I set out DVDs, snacks and drinks, ready for when we got back. Then I headed back out and picked everyone up.

When we arrived at the mall, we went straight into one of my mum's stores. "erm tris, its really expensive in here, I don't think I can afford it." said Marlene. "its okay, dont worry about money." they all gave me confused looks apart from Chris. "think about it, you know my mum is called natalie, I am Tris Prior sooo..." suddenly Shauna's face lit up. "Your mum is the natalie prior!?" I nodded. "that means that anything i get from here, I get for free." "come on then!" said Chris. After about an hour I found a beautiful blue dress, tight at the top, the flows at the waist to mid thigh. the bodice is covered in gems. (picture on the right). Chris got a similar dress that's hot pink, Lynn got a black, knee length dress and marlene and Shauna both got green dresses, but in different styles.

i was happy that we came because it was a really nice dress and my mum would be happy to see me in it. Now let the sleepover begin!
