Chapter 3

"What did you say?" I asked again, after swallowing my spoonful of cereal.

"My girlfriend is transferring today." He repeated.

I slowly put my spoon in my mouth.

She's coming... My days with Lucas are over!!

"Hurry up and finish your cereal, we're gonna be late to school," He said as he tied his tie around his neck.

"Mhm.." I said, my mouth full.

"Good morning Helena.." I greeted as I sat down on my seat.

"Morning!" She said, sitting in front of me. "Why the blank face?"

"Lucas' girlfriend is gonna transfer here.." I sighed.

"Then why are you so miser-- ooohh.." She gasped then whispered, "You like Lucas, don't you?"

"What?! No!" I exclaimed.

"Athy..." She glared at me.

I sighed in defeat, looking down to my desk, my fingers fidgeting.

"Wow.." She breathed. "Of all the guys you like, you chose the taken one.."

"I didn't expect him to have a girlfriend alright?!" I huffed

"You're right, you've separated for 5 years.." She muttered.

"Okay! Take your seats!" The professor said, walking in the classroom.

"Better go, see ya!" She walk back to her seat.

This is it... I'm gonna meet her...

"Open your books to..."

Huh?

She's not here?

She's in the next classroom!!

I whispered to Lucas. "Is your girlfriend not here?"

"She's in the other section," He whispered back. "You'll meet her at the cafeteria, I guess.."

But I don't want to meet her!!!

"Oh.. Okay.." I nodded and leaned back to my seat.

"NOOO!!!" I held on the door, with Helena dragging me to the cafeteria.

"C'mon!! I also want to see her!!" Helena whined.

"But I don't go by yourself!!"

She clicked her tongue. "You're really embarrassing me Athy!"

I look around and saw the students whispering and staring at us. I immediately let go, making Helena and I fall on the hard floor. But it didn't happened.

"Whoops, there!" A voice said.

I balanced myself up then look up to Helena being caught by a kinda handsome gray head.

Helena look up and immediately stood up, blushing. "I-I'm sorry!!"

He smiled. "No, it's fine... You better be careful next time." He walk away waving at Helena who is in deep thoughts.

Not again...

That guy is Zavier, he is Helena's crush and also first love since freshman. He is called as the Lonely Gray Wolf which is really, really cringe.

"Yoohoo!! Helena!!" I waved my hand in front of her face, then she snapped back to reality.

I sighed. "Of all the guys and you picked the most popular one.."

"Hey! That's my line!" She exclaimed, still blushing.

"Not anymore." I flicked her forehead. "Let's go, I feel like I want to meet her now."

"Yessss!!!" She jumped and followed me to the cafeteria.

We stared at the bustling cafeteria.

"Uuhh... Should we buy some first?" Helena nudged my shoulders.

"Y-Yeah..."

After we bought our lunch, we walk around to find some empty tables, and luckily we found one.

"Haaah! Finally, I can eat right now!" Helena sighed.

"Yeah..."

"That's the eleventh now.." She complained.

"Stop counting my yeah's..." I grumbled before I popped a cherry in my mouth.

"How can we find his girlfriend right now?!" She whined.

"Should I scream aga--"

"No.." She cut me off.

I sighed and drink my chocolate drink. I look around and suddenly I saw a familiar brunette standing beside a the pole. I blinked to make sure, but when I opened my eyes the brunette is gone.

"Hmm.. Was it my imagination...?" I muttered.

Helena look up. "What?"

"Huh? Eh.. Nothing.."

After lunch, I decided to ditch class.

Yes, the always perfect in attendance, Athanasia is gone.. For now..

I'm at the rooftop right now, listening to some songs, especially my favorite songs.

Suddenly someone tapped my shoulder, making me flinch and immediately turn around to see the person's face.

I sighed in relief and put off my earphones. "Y-You scared me!"

"Did I?" Lucas chuckled.

"Yes you did!!" I smacked him hard on the head.

"That hurts!!" He exclaimed.

"Hmph! It's your fault to begin with!"

"Wow! You ditched class for the first time, I'm so proud of you!" He said as he ruffled my hair.

I gasped. "How did you know?!"

"Well... I just know.. It's you of course." He smiled.

I raised a brow. "Is that so?"

"Yep! By the way did you met my girlfriend?" He asked.

"Oh! Have you seen the cafeteria?" I sarcastically said.

"Tch, how can you be like that to me.." He grumbled.

I just laughed at him.

"What were you listening earlier?" He asked.

"Oh.. Just some songs.." I said.

He narrowed his eyes at me. "Stray Kids again?"

"Hey! They are the best!! Don't you dare say their name in that tone!!" I exclaimed angrily.

"Okay, okay I'm sorry!!" He waved his hands in defense before I gave him another smack.

"Tch.."

"But seriou-- OWW!! I haven't even finished!!"

"I know what you gonna say!!"

"Oh really? What is it?"

"......"

"You don't even reme-- OWW!! THAT'S THRICE!!"

"Hooooooommmee at last!!!" I happily said.

"Yeah.. That class is boring.." Lucas agreed.

I walk to the kitchen getting a drink.

"I just want to tell you that my girlfriend is coming here.." He suddenly said.

I choked on my water, spilling some on the floor. Lucas just stared at me, stopped in his tracks.

"Aaaah!! There's a bug in my water, eeeww!!" I immediately said.

"Let me get you a towel," Lucas said, and ran to get a towel.

He came back, and wiped the towel on my face. "Hey! That hurts!!"

"You're so clumsy, why did a bug get in your water?" He sighed.

"Why ask the bug?" I scoffed.

"I'm talking to one already."

"WHAT?!" I smacked his head.

"Nothing...."

"About your girlfriend..."

He stopped. "Yes... I just wanted your permission for her to stay here in one night.."

I shrugged. "Sure.." I don't want to..

"Why is she staying here?" I asked, as I put my glass down, trying not to break it.

"She just arrived in the morning and the furniture in her apartment is not yet arrived," He explained.

"Okay.." I nodded.

I heard a ring on my doorbell.

She's here!!!

Lucas immediately walk to the door, I followed him slowly.

"Eh? Is it okay for me to go in?" I heard a familiar voice.

I stopped on my tracks as I saw his girlfriend.

"Nasia, this is my girlfriend.." He introduced. "Jennette."
