JONGSANG (Fairy AU)

08:48, 18 December 2024

This is a oneshot series that I have had in the works for quite some time. I was going to make a book just for these fairy stories, but I decided I would rather just post them all here. All oneshots under this AU will take place in the same timeline.

Jongho was stressed

No scratch that he was full-blown panicking

He wrung his hands through his brown locks as he paced around his living room, eyes flickering to the front door every two seconds.

Yeosang's low moans of pain filled the silent house, the sound echoing off the walls and circling around the small room.

Jongho winced at the noise, eyes quickly looking back towards the door in front of him, the large glass window pane nestled between the old wood displaying the raging storm outside.

Trees swayed violently, the sky an ominous shade of black.  Rain smacked against the house and windows harshly as thunder boomed powerfully in the distance, but Jongho's ears still picked up on the fairy's cries.

They were louder

Much louder

The soft "pitter patter" of feet against the hardwood floor quickly brought his attention away from the storm outside, surely having burned holes through the glass as he stared at it angrily.

He turned around slowly, anxious eyes coming into contact with another equally worried pair.

Hongjoong's eyes were glistening in the warm glow of the house, his iridescent freckles scattered across his cheeks and nose looked like little stars in the low light.

His red hair was mused in every direction like he too had been running his fingers through it constantly.  The light purple sweater he wore around his small frame was rumpled and wrinkled from his tiny hands having clenched it repeatedly, although those little fingers now loosely wrapped around his 3 month baby bump, hugging it gently.

He worried his lip between his teeth as he looked at Jongho then at the storm outside.

"Any signs of Hwa?"

He asked nervously, a small hopeful smile forming on his lips only to fall when Jongho shook his head sadly.

The rainbow fairy swallowed slowly, worry obvious in his eyes as he looked out the door longingly.

"He'll be back soon, don't wor-ry"

Jongho comforted the distressed fae only to earn a loud snicker as his voice cracked on the  last word, his own nerves leaking into it.

"I'm not the one who should be worrying..."

Hongjoong chuckled sadly, turning his head down towards the hall where Yeosang's cries could be heard.

Jongho's eyes followed, heart shattering as he listened to his husband's moans of pain.

"How's Sang doing?"

He asked tentatively, eyes trying to gauge a reaction from the petite male stood in front of him.

The rainbow fairy sighed tiredly, running a hand through his crimson locks.

"Ren's going to be here very soon, Jongho"

Hongjoong informed, watching as shock took over the younger fae's face.

The animal fairy's heart dropped at the news, brain slowly processing this new onslaught of information.

He was gonna be a dad

"How soon?"

He asked somewhat frantically, hands trembling by his sides as he stared at Hongjoong.

"Within the next hour"

All the breath was forced from Jongho's lungs at the news, Hongjoong's words hitting him like a swift punch to the stomach.

He was going to be a dad in the next hour

He inhaled loudly as he absorbed the information, recollecting all the events that had recently occurred, leading them to their current situation.

Yeosang had been in labor all day, the flower fairy actually having started to complain about cramps the night before.  When Jongho had awoke for work at dawn, the older had confirmed he was definitely in labor and going to have their son that day.

To say the animal fairy was surprised was an understatement, he was down right hysterical.

Yeosang had to practically kick him out the door that morning claiming the baby wasn't just gonna fall out of him while Jongho was at work.

You never know though, anything could happen!

Jongho of course couldn't stop thinking about him the entire time, practically getting his arm bitten off when he had forgotten he was helping a Grizzly bear with a toothache and had hit a particularly tender spot.

He was definitely relieved when his work came to an end, nearly teleporting himself back home with how fast he flew.

He rushed inside his and his husband's small cottage only to be met with the sight of Wooyoung and Hongjoong standing in the middle of their living room, helping a very clearly in pain Yeosang.

"Ren's being a little mean right now"

Wooyoung had supplied helpfully, claiming that the small boy was not enjoying the news of being born and was causing a fuss, throwing a flurry of kicks around in the laboring flower fairy's abdomen.

Yeosang could only hiss in pain as he hunched over, hands wrapped around his swollen middle as Hongjoong and Wooyoung held onto his arms, supporting most of his weight.

Jongho slowly walked up to the trio, smiling softly as he carefully extracted Yeosang from the other faes hold, wrapping him in his own embrace.

The flower fairy seemingly melted into his husband's touch, his furrowed brow quickly smoothing out as the pain subsided, a small sigh leaving his lips as he nestled into the male's neck, basking in his warmth.

Jongho didn't know what it was, but anytime Ren decided to act up and make Yeosang uncomfortable, all it took was a gentle embrace from the animal fairy and the baby would immediately calm down.

The older liked to believe that their son could sense the younger's presence, whether that be from his voice to a soft, fleeting touch against Yeosang's skin.

He didn't know how the little baby did it, but Ren definitely knew who his father was.

The thought made him smile

Placing a tender kiss against his husband's pale blonde hair, Jongho moved them towards their bedroom, fully intending on getting the other to sleep.

And sleep is exactly what Yeosang did

As soon as the flower fairy's head hit the pillow, he was out like a light.

His soft cheeks were puffed out slightly, little pink lips open as small breaths left his mouth.  His eyelids twitched lightly, the birthmark on his left eye glowed in the warm light of their room, his blonde hair golden as it splayed across the pillow like a halo.

He looked like an angel

Jongho's angel

The animal fairy admired his husband's beauty, running a soothing hand through his silky locks as he grabbed an unfinished novel, cracking it open to the page he left off on as he got comfortable.

They stayed like this for 2 hours

The house was silent as Hongjoong and Wooyoung had dispersed.  The rainbow fairy had ran home to tell his husband Seonghwa that Yeosang was in labor, the water fairy being their village's main healer.  Wooyoung seemingly hadn't left the cottage as the scent of something cooking filled Jongho's senses.

He roused at the smell, having dozed off at some point.

Yeosang continued to sleep besides him, face peaceful as he drew in long, heavy breaths.

Although that peace quickly turned to fear as the first clap of thunder sounded through the house.

Yeosang shot up at the noise, startling Jongho as he flinched harshly, the younger quickly picking up on his rapid breath.

Tears streamed down the fairy's face as another boom shook the house, a small cry leaving his mouth due to the loud noise.

Jongho reached a hand out to the trembling male, running a hand up and down his side soothingly.

"Hey, Sangie it's okay, you're ok-"

But his words fell on deaf ears as Yeosang continued to cry, his body seizing with panic.

He hated thunderstorms

The loud sounds of thunder always brought back a lot of unwanted memories for the little flower fairy, harshly triggering his fight or flight instincts.

Immediately the small fae had launched himself away from Jongho's touch and out of their bed as more thunder continued to sound in the distance.

Yeosang's knees weakly buckled underneath him as soon as he touched the floor, a loud wail ripping itself out of his throat as he fell to the ground.

His pale arms wrapped around his swollen middle as he cried, pain evident in his features as he tried to breath through the sudden contraction.

Jongho quickly followed after him, kneeling down besides the older as he watched his hands claw at the hardwood floor, desperately looking for something to grab onto.

He moved himself in front of his husband so the flower fairy could twist his fingers into the material of the younger's sweater, his head pressed firmly against his chest.

The animal fairy merely cooed at the boy as he helped him through the pain, cupping gentle hands over the fae's ears to block out the deafening sounds of the storm, slowly calming his panic.

"Shh angel, shhh. Everything's going to be alright, I promise."

He murmured quietly into the older's blonde hair, smiling as he felt his lover gradually slump against him, body relaxing.

After about 5 minutes the flower fairy laid completely limp against his husband's chest, breathing even and tears subsiding.

Jongho removed his hands from his ears and brought them up to his flushed cheeks. He angled Yeosang's head up towards his, brushing a single tender kiss against the fairy's lips.

The older sighed at the action, gently kissing back as he let his eyes slip closed, basking in his husband's affection.

Only when a sharp gasp fell from the flower fairy's lips did they stop kissing.

Jongho pulled back confused, eyes watching as Yeosang's mouth fell open in surprise, eyes wide.

"Sweetheart, what's wrong?"

He asked worriedly, hands grabbing onto the older's frantically.

Yeosang nibbled his lip nervously, big brown eyes coming up to meet his husband's own pair.

"My water broke"

Thus ensued chaos

Jongho laughed softly at the memory of Hongjoong finding him frantically running around his house, Yeosang sitting idly across their couch with his hands resting against his baby bump, a look of both affection and annoyance on his petite features as he watched his husband panic.

It took both fairies to calm the younger down, Hongjoong promising that Seonghwa would soon be here after he finished helping the other water fairies with a flood that had seemingly broke out within the village due to the horrible storm.

That was 3 hours ago...

And he still wasn't here

The storm had only gotten worse over those past couple of hours.  The house now slightly shook from the strong winds and the rain was so heavy, you couldn't even see past it's thick sheets, let alone walk into it without being completely drenched.

And with the worsening of the storm, Yeosang's fear also grew.

Jongho rubbed his face tiredly, walking away from the door where he and Hongjoong had positioned themselves.

Yeosang's cries had only seemed to pick up within the few minutes they had stood there, both from pain and the fear of the raging storm outside.

The animal fairy walked around his house, lighting the occasional candle as they were now well into the late hours of the night.  The soft light cast the cottage into a warm golden hue, making it feel safe and cozy.

He walked into their tiny kitchen, successfully finding the pot of pine nut broth Wooyoung had made earlier that day.

He turned the stove on low to allow it to reheat as he placed a kettle along the neighboring burner.

He turned to grab two jars filled with dried chamomile and lavender from Yeosang's spice rack, smiling at his husband's delicate handwriting that displayed the type of flower within each jar.

He grabbed a sprig of each flower, dropping them into the now boiling water and allowing them to steep.

He ladled a spoon full of warm broth into a wooden bowl, placing it against a small serving tray as he grabbed a mug, filling it with the now brewed chamomile lavender tea.

It was Yeosang's favorite

He placed everything on the tray before gently picking it up and making his way down towards his and his husband's bedroom.

The old wooden door was cracked open slightly, Wooyoung's soft voice slipping through.

He knocked on it quietly, receiving a small "Come in" from the flower fairy.  He shoved the door open lightly, smiling sadly at the sight that greeted him.

Wooyoung was sat in one of their dining chairs, placed strategically next to their queen sized bed. He was bent over Yeosang's prone form, one hand running through his blonde hair and the other locked tightly with his best friend's. The lilac haired male whispered quietly to the older, head leaning over his ear as to drown out the deafening booms of thunder with his soothing voice.

Jongho's heart broke as he took in his husband's small, curled up form.

The flower fairy laid on his side, face angled towards Wooyoung. His face was flushed with the remnants of tear tracks running along his cheeks, but his breathing seemed to be even for the time being. The hand that wasn't locked firmly with his best friend's was placed against his swollen abdomen, rubbing it gently. He laid clad in only a tight cotton undershirt and underwear, highlighting the large bump that prominently stuck out from his hips, safely holding their son inside.

His large brown eyes looked up from where they were blankly staring at a wall as Jongho entered the room, a tiny smile forming on his lips at the presence of his husband.

"Hi angel, how are you feeling?"

He asked warmly, placing the tray against their bedside table as he sat himself at the end of the bed, gently rubbing Yeosang's exposed leg.

The flower fairy untangled himself from his friend's hold with slight difficulty as he made a weak grabby gesture towards the male.

The animal fairy huffed affectionately at his husband's actions, swiftly changing spots with Wooyoung so he was sat next to the older. Except that didn't seem to be enough for the fairy as he grabbed Jongho's sleeve and tugged lightly, signifying that he wanted him to join him on the bed.

Ever so carefully, the animal fairy lifted the fae up, shimming himself behind him so he laid against their backboard and Yeosang laid against his chest.

The flower fairy sighed in content, melting into his husband's warmth as he buried his head into the crook of his neck, breathing in his fresh pine scent that naturally clung to his skin from working out in the forest.

Jongho placed a tender kiss against the older's warm forehead, rubbing a large hand over his bump, the muscles firm from labor.

"Are you going to answer my question now?"

He joked, lightly poking the flower fairy in the cheek, eliciting a tiny small from the older.

Yeosang exhaled loudly, body limp against his husband's chest, long eyelashes brushing along the tops of his cheeks as he closed his eyes slowly.

"Tired...everything hurts and I don't like the storm, it's scary."

He murmured quietly, placing his own small hand against the younger's, intertwining their fingers together.

"I can feel him"

Jongho's heart skipped a beat at the news, frantic eyes looking to Wooyoung who sat infront of him, eyes equally as wide.

"Do you need to push Sangie?"

The flower fairy asked hesitantly, receiving a small head shake of "No" from his best friend.

Jongho heaved in relief, although that was short lived as Yeosang's body tensed in his hold, signifying the start of a contraction.

The flower fairy let out a small whimper of pain, but other then that he made no other noise through the entirety of his contraction, inhaling deep breaths through his nose as he focused on the pain.

Jongho placed a light kiss against his temple when he finally came back down while Wooyoung praised him gently.

"Is Seonghwa back yet?"

Yeosang asked breathlessly, slumping himself back against his husband tiredly.

Jongho and Wooyoung looked at each other nervously, not knowing what to say to the laboring fairy about Seonghwa's absence.

"He's not going to make it, isn't he."

Yeosang stated dully, seemingly having picked up on the two fairies hesitance towards the question.

The animal fairy swallowed thickly at the statement, not knowing how to respond.

"He'll be here soon Yeosang, I promise"

Wooyoung answered hopefully, eyes sincere as he gazed at his friend.

The flower fairy merely nodded, gaze dejected as he looked down at his and his husband's locked hands.

Not knowing what to do, Jongho looked over to the tray he had brought with him into the room.

"Sunshine, why don't you try eating something? Youngie made you broth."

He asked quietly, thumb rubbing along the older's hip soothingly.

"I'm not hungry..."

Yeosang murmured back, his stomach twisting at the thought of eating anything.

"I made your favorite tea"

Okay that definitely caught his attention

Jongho laughed as his husband perked up at the mention of tea, brown eyes searching for it.

Grabbing the still warm mug, the younger handed it to the fairy, smiling as the older hummed in content when he took a sip of the liquid.

Him, Yeosang, and Wooyoung all sat on the soft mattress as they conversed lightly, only stopping when the fairy had a contraction.  The older had finished his mug full of tea by then and he was tiredly dozing against his husband's firm chest, catching up on some much needed rest.

It had been over another hour and there was still no sign of Seonghwa and Jongho was getting worried.

Hongjoong had joined them, nerves evident on his face as he kept glancing behind himself every few minutes, waiting for the water fairy to walk through the door.

Jongho honestly felt bad for the little rainbow fairy.  He couldn't imagine the amount of worry that must be going through his head as he waited for his husband and father to their unborn child to come home.

His concern was quickly diverted to the flower fairy that laid tiredly against him as a loud whine ripped itself out of Yeosang's mouth.

The fairy writhed in his hold, throwing his head back against his husband's shoulder as his eyes snapped open.

"Baby what's wrong!"

Jongho asked hurriedly, the two other fairies in the room watching worriedly as Yeosang continued to squirm in pain, his mouth open in a silent cry.

"He's coming!"

He cried out, shocking the three other occupants in the room.  They all stared at each other in a silent conversation.

As if on cue, when another cry ripped its way out of the fairy's throat, they all dispersed.  Quickly getting to work as they prepared to bring Ren into the world.

Jongho helped get Yeosang comfortable, setting him up against the headboard with a mountain of pillows supporting him.

Wooyoung and Hongjoong ran in and out of the room gathering supplies, although the rainbow fairy stopped in front of the younger with a serious look in his eyes.  His tiny arms were completely filled to the brim with towels, but that didn't stop him from looking intimidating.

"Jongho, you're going to have to help him deliver since you're the only one with any kind of knowledge on this stuff."

Hongjoong stated firmly, mouth set in a tight line as both Jongho and Yeosang stared at him as if he was crazy.

Maybe he was

"Hyung, I can't deliver a baby! I don't know how!"

The animal fairy stammered out, hands shaking as he looked at the older with wide eyes.

He specialized in freaking animals, not humans!

Hongjoong's eyes softened slightly as he took in the fairy's panicked state. He sighed loudly as he set down the towels he was holding and grabbed Jongho's elbow, gently leading him out of the room.

He led him down the hall and into the kitchen, stopping as soon as they weren't within earshot anymore.

"Jongho-"

He started, looking up at the younger as he leaned back against the sink, small hands fiddling with the end of his sweater's sleeves.

"-I know you're scared...we all are."

The rainbow fairy confessed, his usually brown eyes shimmered like a kaleidoscope under the warm light as he looked at the animal fairy.

"But Yeosang needs you right now and that's all that matters."

"He needs you Jongho..."

The younger swallowed slowly at Hongjoong's serious tone, blinking rapidly as he tried to quell the tears of guilt he could feel burning behind his eyes.

"But what if I fail him...what if I can't give him the help that he needs. Yeosang's already been through so much, I can't let him down..."

Jongho whispered quietly, voice thick with emotion. He ducked his head down as he felt a few hot tears run down his cheeks, a small sob leaving his mouth.

A soft hand lightly grabbed his chin and lifted it up. Hongjoong's kind eyes came into view as he looked at the younger, a warm smile on his lips.

"And you won't...because I believe in you, Jongho. I know you can do it...

He spoke, smiling brightly up at the fae as he brushed large tears away from his cheeks.

"You may not agree, but when it comes to Yeosang, you will do anything for him."

The rainbow fairy continued, bringing his tiny fingers away from Jongho's face and down towards his hands, grabbing them tightly.

"Like the time I had to catch a spider for him because he was scared."

Jongho mumbled out, eliciting a loud laugh from Hongjoong, his eyes scrunched up into crescents.

"Yes, just like that!"

He continued to giggle, although his laughter quickly ceased as he sobered himself up, a slight seriousness coming back onto his face.

"And do you know why you do it?"

He asked, looking up at Jongho through his red fringe. The younger stayed quiet as he stared at him in question.

"Because you love him"

He said it with so much love and pride that the younger nearly started crying again at the truth of his words.

He loved Yeosang

The smaller quickly pulled him into a tight hug as he saw the animal fairy's composure breaking, running a slow hand through the hair that laid at the nape of his neck.

Jongho pulled pack eventually, dabbing away wetness from his eyes as he sniffed quietly.

"Thank you hyung, I really needed to hear that."

He said sincerely, brown eyes warm as he looked at the older, a small smile slipping across his face.

"Aish, there's no need for thanks, I'm just doing my job of being your father."

The rainbow fairy joked, the pair laughing loudly in the small kitchen.

"Alright, now go in there and deliver your son for gods sake."

Clapping his hands together, the small fairy dragged Jongho back down the hall towards his bedroom, quickening his pace once he heard Wooyoung's voice call out to them.

They both hastily entered the room, eyes being greeted with the sight of the flower fairy tenderly petting Yeosang's hair as the fae cried, his hands tightly gripping onto the sheets underneath him.

"Jongho..."

Yeosang whimpered out, eyes glistening as his face pinched up in pain, a loud sob leaving his mouth.

The animal fairy quickly made his way up towards his husband's side, placing a fleeting kiss against his temple before kneeling down next to him. He pried off one of his hands from the sheets and held it tenderly between both of his, thumbs running over the other's white knuckles.

"Shh angel shhh, don't cry. It's okay, I'm here, I've got you."

He murmured into the skin of Yeosang's hand. He pressed a tender kiss against his delicate fingers, smiling softly as he looked up to see his wedding band, snuggly placed against his slim ring finger that was sat on top of his large bump.

"Let's have a baby shall we?"

~~~~~~~~~~
Where the hell was Seonghwa!
The water fairy had been gone for a total of 6 hours and Yeosang was over it.
He just wanted his son out of him
But no, Ren couldn't make it that easy for him because for the past 2 hours he had been struggling to push him out.
He had been desperately trying to get him to crown, but each attempt was useless as his dark tufts of hair would appear, only to disappear shortly after.
Yeosang was going to lose it
He always knew his son would be stubborn, having definitely attained the trait from him, but he didn't expect this level of stubbornness.
Ren just apparently didn't want to be born
Yeosang swears that when this kid is older he is definitely going to get a talking to for his behavior...
The flower fairy threw his head back tiredly as another round of pushing finally came to an end.
He could feel Wooyoung's fingers running through his sweat soaked hair, scratching his scalp softly.  Yeosang closed his eyes at the sensation, lids heavy with fatigue.
He was so tired
His body absolutely ached, his muscles throbbing from the strong contractions that continued to strike his body every other minute.  He felt like he was slowly burning up, as if molten lava had been poured into his veins.  He had quickly stripped out of his clothes once the heat became unbearable, leaving him bare against the damp sheets of his bed.  Yet the cold air against his skin did nothing to quill the fire.
He sighed loudly in relief as Hongjoong placed a wet cloth against his forehead, the freezing temperature of the water bringing slight relief with it.
Although, that relief was quickly forgotten when his body seized up with another cramp, forcing him to bare down with all of his strength.
He could hear Jongho's reassuring voice coaching him through the contraction, encouraging him to keep pushing and that he could see their son's hair.
Even though the animal fairy had been repeating that same statement for over an hour, Yeosang couldn't help but feel a surge of affection for the younger with his continuous encouragement.
Jongho had been an absolute trooper
He knew his husband was absolutely terrified at the prospect of being the one to deliver their son and was definitely doubting his skills, but he willingly pushed his own worries away for the sake of helping him.
No one had ever went out of their way to help him of all people, but that had been the animal fairy's first priority when he had meet the older.
He really was the best thing that had ever happened in Yeosang's life.
"Jongho he's not crowning!  I can't get him out."
Yeosang sobbed loudly, shaking his head back and forth against the pillow as he struggled to push, body quivering in pain.  His chest heaved up and down rapidly, his lips parted open as he took in quick, shallow breaths.
Hongjoong and Wooyoung were sat on either side of him, gently reassuring as they desperately tried to calm him down.
"Sangie I need you to take a deep breath, everything's going to be okay."
Wooyoung soothed, running slow fingers through his best friend's sweaty hair, his hand locked tightly with the other flower fairy's.
Yeosang ignored his words of reassurance as he continued to sob, a loud wail ripped its way out of his mouth as he tried bearing down again, only for his attempts to turn useless as his son's head still wouldn't budge.
His visible distress was definitely stressing out Jongho as the young fairy's hands began to shake, his breath becoming rapid with panic.
Although, he quickly became startled as a warm hand was placed against his shoulder, causing him to whirl around to see who was behind him.
It was Seonghwa
The tall water fairy was absolutely soaked, which was kind of ironic to say the least.  His dark hair was plastered to his forehead, water dripping down his temples and neck.  His blue peacoat was sodden with water, hanging heavily off his broad shoulders. A black, leather doctor's bag hung loosely between his fingers.
Even though he was completely drenched, the fairy's eyes still shone brightly as he stared at the animal fairy in front of him, smiling warmly.
"Did I make it in time?"
His calming, deep tone caught the attention of everyone in the room, eliciting a series of sharp gasps.
"Oh thank god!"
Hongjoong breathed out loudly, quickly standing up from his chair and embracing his husband in a tight hug.  He grabbed the back of the taller's neck, bringing him down to his level so he could place a loving kiss against the water fairy's lips.
"Where the hell have you been?"
The rainbow fairy asked as soon as they parted, gaze fierce as he stared up at his husband, the male rubbing his neck sheepishly.
"The flood was a lot worse then we thought...I would have made it back sooner, but then the rain got really bad and I couldn't find my way back, thankfully Chris found me and offered me a ride."
Jongho perked up at the mention of his coworker, smiling softly at the male's kindness. He had always been so generous towards the animals and people he worked with.  He'd would have to give the wolf hybrid his thanks later.
"Well thankfully you made it back safely, and just in time too."
Hongjoong spoke, moving himself away from his husband's embrace and back towards his spot next to Yeosang.
"Ah yes, who's ready to have a baby?"
He asked happily, peeling off his drenched jacket as he rolled up his slightly damp white dress shirt to his elbows.
When he didn't receive a reply, Seonghwa turned around, seemingly finally taking notice of the laboring male on the bed, his gaze softening as he looked at the flower fairy's struggling form.
"How are you holding up Sang?"
He asked tenderly, placing his bag against the bed gently, eyes assessing the boy in front of him as he deftly applied a pair of latex gloves to his hands.
The small flower fairy looked absolutely miserable.
Yeosang laid on his back, feet planted against the sheets with his knees bent.  His whole body was flushed red and his chest heaved with each breath.  Sweat beaded along his forehead and ran down his temples as Hongjoong gently wiped his face down with a cool cloth, having sat besides the fairy on the bed.
"I can't get him to crown."
He whimpered frantically, eyes wide with panic.
"I can see that..."
The water fairy replied calmly as he planted himself in front of the younger, taking a closer look.  His gloved hand rubbed against his knee affectionately, the touch warm against his skin.
"It's okay though, I'm going to help you."
Seonghwa smiled reassuringly, placing one more pat against his knee before standing back up, hands resting along his hips as he stared down at the flower fairy, nodding to himself slowly as he looked over the younger.
"Alright, since it seems that just pushing by yourself is not working, we are gonna need the assistance of gravity."
He stated, clapping his hands together loudly before barking out strict orders to the remaining occupants in the room, doctor-mode fully activated.
While the others scurried around the room preparing everything he asked for, Seonghwa helped Yeosang.  He gently grabbed the young fae, helping him shimmy his way down the bed towards the end.  He then proceeded to place his large hands against his hips, aiding him to slowly settle down into a deep squat.  Hands still firmly planted against his sides, the water fairy called out for Jongho, directing him to sit behind Yeosang and support his weight.
The animal fairy positioned himself behind his husband, hands replacing Seonghwa's as he settled them against the fairy's hips, squeezing softly.
Yeosang leaned back against his warmth, signing contently as he placed his head into the crook of the younger's neck, inhaling his natural scent.
Jongho peppered tender kisses along his face and neck, lips stopping as they landed right in between his shoulder blades.
Right in between his scars
Where his wings used to be
They were two pale gashes that ran along his shoulders.  They weren't long, but they were deep, leaving the healed flesh to appear uneven.
From afar, they looked like two large birth marks, but in reality they were so much more, meant so much more then your average scar.
They held memories
Yeosang usually flinched whenever someone touched his back, the action triggering a flurry of unwanted memories.
But when Jongho touched him, all that filled his body were memories of love.
Loving touches, tender embraces, fleeting kisses...
Jongho's warm hands only held love within their rough palms and sturdy fingers.
He couldn't have asked for a better husband
"Alright sweetheart, I'm gonna need you to start pushing."
Seonghwa stated calmly as settled himself in front of  the laboring fairy's legs, rubbing a comforting hand along his swollen abdomen.
His motherly nature soothed Yeosang.  He was almost like a parent to the flower fairy, him and Hongjoong having taken him and Wooyoung under their wings when they were just the mere age of 13, practically raising the two flower fairies as if they were their own children.
They had helped him through so much and were the reason he was able to grow into the person he was today. And now that he got to share this intimate moment of bringing his son into the world with them present, he had never been more thankful  for having the couple in his life.
"You can do this Sangie, Ren's almost here! Just a bit more!"
Looking into the warm eyes of Wooyoung, the younger having sat right next to him on the floor, Yeosang found the strength within himself to begin pushing once again.
He gripped his best friend's hand tightly as he bore down, Jongho's comforting presence behind him keeping him grounded.
He could feel the slow drag of his son's head as it finally moved down, the burn slowly increasing in intensity until  it all became too much, feeling as if his lower half had been lit on fire.
It hurt
Gasping out in pain, the small flower fairy threw this head back against Jongho's shoulder, flailing it back and forth as he had never felt anything like this before.
"Hwa...Hwa it hurts! It hurts so much!"
Completely delirious from pain, Yeosang wailed out as he clenched his eyes shut tightly, willing the pain to leave.
He could feel Wooyoung and Hongjoong gently hold back his legs, keeping them open as he began to close them unconsciously. Jongho's rough hands squeezed his hips lightly as placed countless kisses to his sweaty hairline, desperately trying to calm the frantic fairy.
"I know it does honey, but you have to keep pushing.  Ren's head is almost out."
Seonghwa's deep voice called out calmly, watching as the news slowly sank into the younger's brain as his thrashing slowly came to a halt, his head placed tiredly into the crook of his husband's neck as he looked at the water fairy through heavily lidded eyes.
"It is?"
He asked quietly, his voice tiny and horse from his previous cries.  His round cheeks were red and splotchy as tears ran down his face, but his eyes were wide with curiosity as he looked at the older in question.
Smiling crookedly at the small fairy, Seonghwa gently grabbed one of his shaky hands as he brought it to the soft tufts of wet hair that sat idly between the boy's legs.
Yeosang's eyes widened even further as he ran his fingers through the thick locks of his son's head, his sharp little canines coming into view as he smiled brightly.
"Jongho he's right there!  I can feel him!"
His joyful giggle filled the room as he looked at the animal fairy with stars in his eyes, completely enthralled with the small baby's hair as he continued to card his fingers through it.
Jongho could only smile lovingly at his husband's excitement, squeezing him just a tad bit tighter as he placed an affectionate kiss to his plump cheek.
"That's great baby! Just a bit more until we finally get to meet him!"
Filled with newfound determination from the younger's words, Yeosang readied himself as the next contraction reared its ugly head, bearing down strongly as he listened to Seonghwa's instructions intently.
"Good Sangie, just like that. Little pushes now, his head's almost out."
The water fairy order, skillfully maneuvering the small head held delicately in his palms as the flower fairy gave one final push, his son's head sliding out smoothly.
"His head's out Sang!"
Hongjoong's cheerful voice rang out as soon as Ren's head came free, clapping his tiny hands together
Smiling at the rainbow fairy, Yeosang instantly went in for another round of pushing as he began to feel the width of his son's shoulders drop down, the stretch excruciating.
He grit his teeth tightly at the burn, the pain somehow being ten times worse then delivering his head.
He gasped loudly as the first shoulder suddenly came free, the loss of pressure surprising him.
He watched as Seonghwa's hands disappeared under his belly, one gently cradling the small baby while the other seemed to be carefully wiping away the mucus from his son's little nose and mouth.
Even though he couldn't see the boy over his distended abdomen, Yeosang found himself focusing on the movement of the older's arms as he worked, waiting for, hopefully, his last contraction.
Seonghwa's warm eyes found his as he smiled tenderly, making the younger smile as well.
"Are you ready to meet Ren?"
Yeosang could feel his heart swell at the fairy's words, eyes burning with tears as he nodded vigorously.
He son was almost here
"Alright then, I'm gonna need you to give me one more big push Sangie.  Just one more and he'll be here."
Body filling with a newfound determination, Yeosang looked at the older once more before closing his eyes and pushing hard.
He gripped Jongho's hands that laid across his hips as he let out a shrill scream, the pain of his son's shoulders leaving his body blinding.
"You're doing so good!"
"He's almost here!"
"Just a bit more Yeosang!"
Listening to the endless words of encouragement that fell from his family's lips, Yeosang went in for one final push, channeling all of his remaining strength as he delivered the rest of his son's body.
Silence filled the room as he fell down to his butt as all the pain he felt over the past hours instantly went away, sagging against Jongho tiredly as he regained his breathing.
A piercing cry rang out
The sound was like music to the flower fairy's ears as Seonghwa's gently held a wiggling newborn within his large palms.
His son
The little boy was placed against his naked chest, his cry's instantly ceasing as he recognized his mother's soothing touch, burying his small head directly underneath the fairy's chin.
"He's here...He's finally here."
Yeosang breathed out, relief filling his body as he laid his head back tiredly against Jongho's shoulder. The animal fairy's hands gently embraced his own shaking pair as he helped support the baby nuzzled into the older's bare chest.
"He's perfect"
Hearing those words fall from his husband's lips filled Yeosang with a new kind of love, tears streaming down his red cheeks as he beamed at the younger.
Lips met his warm skin as Jongho softly peppered kisses all along his lover's face, stopping at his own lips as he lovingly kissed the fairy, conveying all words and emotions that couldn't be expressed into that single press of his lips against Yeosang's.
"I love you"
Everything seemingly melted around them as Jongho uttered those three words, nothing else mattering except for the love of his life embraced in his arms and the sleeping baby cradled to his chest.
"I love you too"
Pressing one last kiss to Yeosang's forehead, the pair looked down at the little boy who slept peacefully in the older's hold.
They were finally complete
