62. Creatures of the night

Scott, Stiles and I were sitting on the jeep at the cliff looking at the hauntingly beautiful scene before us, while Stiles rambled on about some apartments he found for when we moved to college. Stiles wanted all of us to be roomies when we moved to college and honestly, Scott and I were quite excited about it that was until they realized that they were going to see a lot of shirtless Isaac if I moved with them and Stiles was kind of annoyed about that fact, but he still looked for 3 BHK apartments. I was completely mesmerized by the way the moonlight bounced on the town before us, but I was pulled out of this magical moment when Scott reminded us that the last six months have been good, but not great. No one's tried to kill us, so things were going to get really good again soon or really bad.  But I disagreed with Scott as these last six months were indeed perfect for me, Isaac and I made up for our lost time by never leaving each other's side, to the point that Dad suggested that I go and have a girl's night with Malia and Lydia, just to get a break. 

Since Mr. Argent was still with the Calaveras, I started my training again with Isaac and Scott and Malia, and sometimes Liam also joined us. Initially, when Isaac met Liam I could tell that he didn't like him but slowly as he realized that Liam was a good kid and considered me as his elder sister, he started behaving warmly towards him. Kira went back to New York for the summer, but we still texted daily, she usually whined about how much she hated those city brats, she used to call friends. Lydia had gotten close to a certain deputy during this summer. Whenever I visited, Station I almost always saw her hanging around with Parrish, when I confronted her, she told me that she was just helping him figure out who he was, but we both knew that was not the truth, though I am happy for them as Parrish seemed like a really nice guy and Lydia deserves a guy like him and as well as I know him he also deserves someone like her. 

 I was again pulled out of my thoughts when lightning struck in the distance. I turned and looked back at Liam who was chained to a tree since he ran around completely naked last full moon and Isaac and Scott had to run behind him for around 2 hours before they got him and dressed him. He once again reckoned that he was in complete and total control but we knew it was a lie as he didn't know but we noticed that his hands were red with the blood from digging his nails into them.

After some time when Liam became in control again, we got in the jeep and started to drive off but then the Jeep suddenly stopped in the middle of the road. Scott and Stiles tried to fix the Jeep with duct tape while Liam and I stood in the distance. 

"Is Isaac going to join you guys this semester?" 

Liam asked and I nodded, "He's planning to. He joined the summer school with Malia." Liam nodded and then got lost in a deep thought. "What, are you still scared of him?" I asked laughing and when I saw Liam shaking his head flustered, I laughed even harder. "Oh my god. Honey, you don't need to be afraid of Isaac, he won't do anything to you." 

"No, I know, but the way he looked at me initially, when we were training together like he wanted to rip both of my arms and then fed it to me for touching you." 

I again laughed loudly. "God. See, he's a little possessive, I agree, but he wouldn't hurt anyone irrationally, especially someone close to me just out of jealousy. And I agree that he didn't like you at first but it's changing now. Trust me. He's kinda like Stiles in these matters, he will not like new people coming into his life but once he gets to know them he'll get real protective of them but never let that show, again like Stiles with Derek, Isaac and you as well." Liam smiled and then we saw lightning strike the road multiple times. Before we could warn Stiles and Scott to be quicker, lightning struck near them so they quickly finished off and called us and we quickly got in Jeep and went away. 

We then went to pick up Malia and Isaac who were helping people who were affected by the storm. Stiles and I ran out of the Jeep when we saw Malia and Isaac standing near Malia's Dad. "Hey, Handsome." I called Isaac. He turned and smiled brightly when he saw me, I jumped on him and kissed him passionately in front of everyone. 

"Hello, Mon Amour." 

He said against my lips and I smiled. 

"If you love birds are done, can we go?" 

Scott yelled from the Jeep, and all four of us laughed and went back in the Jeep. As we all settled, we turned to Isaac and Malia and asked them if they heard anything, from the school about joining us for senior year. They both shook their heads saying their phones had been on the fritz because of the storm. Then we headed to the hospital to drop Liam off with his Stepdad. Stiles, Malia, Isaac and I stayed at the reception with Melissa while Scott took Liam inside. After a few minutes, Scott came out and as we were about to leave, I asked him at what time was Kira supposed to meet us, and he told us that he and Kira hadn't been texting that much as when she left for New York this summer, apparently, Scott told her, 'Don't worry, go have fun,' both Stiles and I shook our heads in disappointment, and told him how stupid he was. He argued with us that it was a totally innocuous comment but we told him it had a double meaning behind it and when he wasn't listening to us Stiles called Malia who was standing with Isaac and talking to Melissa. 

"Malia, if you were going away and I told you, 'Don't worry, go have fun', what would you think I was talking about?" 

Stiles asked. 

"Fun like bowling? Or sex with other guys?"

Malia asked and we just shrugged at Scott and when he still refused to believe us, so I called Isaac. 

"Isaac, when you were going to France, did you even for a moment considered telling me to, 'don't worry, and have fun.' " 

I asked and he quickly shook his head, 

"Hell nah. Why on earth would I tell my girlfriend that it is okay to get involved with other people while I am gone." 

Stiles and I again smiled at Scott. Then we noticed more and more patients were being wheeled into the hospital from a car accident, and we realize that Kira must be stuck in traffic on that same road. Scott then turned towards us and said that he'd meet the four of us at school and he was going to go and help Kira. We all nodded and dropped Scott off at his place and then went to the school.

In the school, Stiles and Malia were standing by the door waiting for Scott and Kira while Isaac and I were standing in the distance. "Stiles had shortlisted some apartments for us." I told Isaac but he barely nodded and I realized that he was tense so I cupped his face. "Babe, is everything alright? You look very tense." I asked and he just pulled me into him. We stayed like that for a few seconds before he finally spoke up, 

"I am just worried about school. What if I didn't do well in summer school, I won't be able to senior like you guys, or go to college at the same time as you." 

"It's okay to be sacred, Isaac, even though you don't need to be. I checked all your assignments, you did great. You don't need to worry about that. We're going to be seniors together and we're going to stay together too, whether we move to college or not. I promise" I said kissing him. Then as we looked towards the gate we saw Stiles and Malia kissing and even though it was awkward for me as Stiles is my brother, I felt really happy that Stiles finally fell in love with someone who loves him back with the same intensity. Their sweet moment was cut short when we saw Liam running towards us.

"Scott's in trouble." 

Liam yelled and we all ran outside to find Scott. Malia, Liam and Isaac told us they could smell Scott and took us to the underpass area. As we arrived there, we saw Kira on the floor and her sword beside her while a guy was stabbing Scott with his claws. Before we could go to help them Scott's eyes changed to red and he broke the guy's arm so hard that his bones were sticking out. Then Scott ripped the guy's dismembered talons out of his own heart and then laid down the law.

"I don't know who you are or what you thought you were going to do but I'll give you a choice: you can stay and I'll break something else or you can run." 

"If I were you, I would run." I remarked from behind, the mystery guy saw the logic in this and ran away. Then we noticed another wolf there.

"You don't remember me, do you? I guess I look a little different since the fourth grade." 

He said looking at Scott and Stiles, and when they still looked confused, he introduced himself as Theo Raeken, their childhood friend.  Theo told us that he heard of an Alpha in Beacon Hills and when he found out the Alpha was Scott McCall, he had to see it for himself. And he also wanted to be part of our pack. Then he came towards me and took my hand,

"And you are?" 

He asked kissing the back of my hand. "Way out of your league." I said and then wiped my hand while I heard Isaac growling at Theo. Then Stiles and Scott came in front and told Theo that they were happy to see him but it was not an open-door policy, and they didn't even knew him anymore. After that, we ditched him and went inside where we sent Liam home as his parents could get worried. As we started going into the library, Malia and Isaac's phone pinged at the same time and when they checked, it was from school saying they were both going to be seniors. They both jumped in happiness and hugged each other and then Isaac wrapped his arm around my waist and kissed me. By that time Lydia got there and asked us if we were doing this or not. We all nodded and went to the library where most students were already gathered around the yearbook section and were writing their initials. 

As we looked at the shelf, we saw the initial D.H. and we just knew it was Derek's. Then I noticed Stiles tracing Derek's initial with his fingertips while smiling a little. Then we all went and wrote our initials but when Malia went up she looked a little confused but then she wrote, M.T. as in Malia Tate and returned. Then Scott went up and wrote his initials and under it, he wrote, ' A.A.' I felt tears forming in my eyes and as Scott returned he side-hugged both Lydia and me. 

"She would have been with us." 

Stiles remarked and Lydia and I both looked at each other tears in both of our eyes and said, "She still is."
