AUDENZIA

Hiccup and I climbed back to the top of the cliff where the others were waiting.

"Auden!" Snotlout ran forward and hugged me. "Thank Odin for yours and Hiccup's weird inventions."

I put my hand on his shoulder and looked at the others. "We're going to get them back." I told them.

I saw Hiccup agreeing, nodding at me. "She's lost her mind." Ruffnut shook her head.

"Um... how are we going to get our dragons back without dragons?" Fishlegs asked.

I smiled at him, then at Hiccup, who was showing off his glider.

Everyone stood at the edge of the cliff, wearing their own gliders.

"So... we jump off the cliff in these?" Ruffnut asked, holding up her glider wing. She turned to face me. "That's the best you got, General?"

"No, we are the best she's got." Hiccup said.

Ruffnut smiled at me, "Aww..." She hugged me then turned towards the cliff once more. "I'm with her, who else?!"

"Ruffnut, that was my line." Tuffnut shook his head.

I pulled my mask over my head and took a running start before jumping off of the cliff. I led the others through the sky and towards the fleet of a hundred ships.

It didn't take long to reach Grimmel. I flew right into him, wrapping my arms around him before dropping him. He caught onto the mast before he was able to fall.

I continued until i found where Nova was being helped. As soon as she saw me, she commanded the dragons to break free from their cages. I dropped onto the deck, the other riders landed behind me.

I whipped out my inferno and started to fight the enemies. In the sky, Toothless was able to break the muzzle off his face and began to fire at Grimmel.

Hookfang had appeared beside me, setting fire to all the vikings around. I smiled at the nightmare, and scratched his head.

He grabbed me and tossed me onto his saddle, and flew us towards Grimmel. Halfway up, one of his dragons hada slammed into Hookfang and I.

I was sent flying through the sky, but was shot towards where Grimmel was in the sky. Hiccup appeared next to me. "We're coming!" I yelled to both Toothless and Nova.

Grimmel scoffed, he was swinging on the light fury. "You still think those dragons care about you?" He pulled out a tranquilizer and jammed it into a compartment of the light furies harness. "Let's just see who they follow."

Grimmel released the light fury from her chains and flew off. Hiccup dove down to Toothless first, I followed and went for Nova. "I'm sorry, baby girl." I whispered to her, ripping off her muzzle.

The dragons, Hiccup and I were being swung around violently until we crashed into the ocean. Hiccup had free'd Toothless and shot out of the water.

I struggled only slightly, then free'd her. She grabbed onto my shoulders and flew us out. I was flung onto her back and the two of us took off towards Grimmel and the light fury.

The other dragon riders stayed back at the ships and continued freeing the dragon.

Grimmel soared through the clouds, guiding us towards the island. Nova shot at Grimmel, but it ended up hurting the light fury.

"How do we get him without hurting her." I asked Nova.

Grimmel took us through a snowy biome, we were weaving through pillars of rock. Behind nova and I, Grimmel's dragon killers swooped in on us. Nova quickly fought them off, but more joined us as we exited the snowy fields.

One of his dragons jumped onto Nova and I, and tried to sting us with its venom, luckily missing. But the other three jumped on us as well.

"Nova.." I warned, as the dragon above us was attacking my helmet. Nova's body heat up underneath me, and bolts of electricity began to take over her entire body. The bolts spread all around us, engulfing myself and the other four dragons as well.

Nova had shot the dragons off of us, and the two of us teleported through the blast.

We reappeared directly in front of Grimmel and the light fury, I stood on Nova's back and dove towards him.

Grimmel pulled out his bow and shot a dart at me. I dodged the shot and kicked Grimmel off of the dragon. He was able to grab my ankle and hold onto me before he could fall, and my glider wing was ripped. "You'll kill both of us!" He yelled. "Is this your plan?"

That's when I noticed Nova's body was plummeting.

I ripped off the light furies muzzle, releasing her from Grimmel's control. She looked at me. "Save her. Save your sister."

She whined as I let go of her. Together, Grimmel and I were falling to our deaths. But the light fury went after Nova.

I watched as they were saved, Grimmel grabbed onto my body and we fought in the air. He ripped off the wings to my glider and hit me. I grabbed onto his arms and flipped us so he would land in the water first.

The impact of us hitting the water was painful. My body now ached, and all the air in my lungs was knocked out of me.

I felt dizzy, and like I was going to pass out immediately. Grimmel was unmoving next to me, he seemed like he was... already gone.

My eyes began to close, and my head pounded. I felt at peace.

Nova is safe. The other riders are safe. Snotlout is safe.

It's okay.

It's going to be okay.

Suddenly, I was snatched from the cold water.

I took in a large inhale of air, and looked up. The light fury had saved me. I smiled at her.

As soon as we landed, the others returned from the ships.

Everyone was cheering, I was looking everywhere for Nova and Snotlout. I found him before her. He grabbed me by the waist and spun me in the air. "You are glorious." He praised, lowering me so he could kiss me. "You're also freezing cold."

I laughed at his reaction, then left his hold. I looked around for Nova, and spotted her towards the edge of the cliff, only just waking up. I rushed over to her, and picked her head up. "Morning, sleepy head."

I slipped my legs under her head for her to rest on.

Together, we watched as Hiccup left Toothless and the light fury together, to show each other their love. Hiccup had a look on his face, then he approached me, and sat next to my side.

"We have to let them go, Auden." He said softly. I looked at him, not saying a word. "The world is too dangerous."

I sighed, and nodded at Hiccup. "I knew this day would come."

"Its the right thing."

"I know." He put a hand on my shoulder, then moved away from me. I slipped out from under Nova, and she stood up. She knew what was going to happen, she must know.

"It's time, baby girl." She purred. "We were so busy fighting for a world we wanted, we didn't think about what you needed." I began to tear up, my lip quivered. "You looked after us for long enough. It's time to look after yourselves."

I placed my forehead against hers, letting the tears run down my face as my eyes closed. I softly cried, Nova did as well.

"You better at least visit me, though." Nova pulled her face away from mine, but began to lick it. I cried out, trying to block her tongue from connecting with my face. I went around her and pulled her saddle off her back.

Together, nova and I looked back at our people. "Go on, girl. You and Toothless lead them to the hidden world." Nova nudged my side with her nose. "You'll be safe there. Safer than you would ever be with me." She whined, making me tear up. "It's okay, I love you too. And I want you to be free. Our world doesn't deserve you. Not yet."

Nova looked back at Hookfang and Snotlout. She looked back at me, jumped up, and wrapped her paws around me in a hug.

I cried, hugging her back. We pulled away only slightly, "Go, Nova." I stepped back, leaving only hand on her nose. "Go." I took another step, and my hand slid off of her. I gave her a nod.

She looked at all other dragons and roared. The dragons roared back and flew off into the sky. Before Toothless left, he hopped over to me and gave me a quick goodbye then found Nova at the edge of the cliff and stood tall beside her.

As all the dragons were leaving, Nova and Toothless looked back at Hiccup and I before turning around and flying off.

Snotlout came up next to me, grabbing my hand in his. "This is weird timing... but I want to start a family."

I looked up at him, my eyes wide.

"Yeah, this is really weird timing." He looked back down at me, a soft smile. "But me too."
