Chapter 22

11:18, 1 August 2017

Lately, I've been having dreams about Guy. That he came back for me. Guy killed Allan to get to me. And I went. I didn't cry or anything. I just went.

●●●●

My dreams were somewhat right. He was back and he was looking for Robin. And he has a sister, Isabella. She hates him. Robin trusts her and she's agreed to help us.

"Sirena, can I talk to you?" Allan questioned, putting his hand on my shoulder.

"Of course."

"Listen. I'm not sure when, but one day, I may not make it home to you." Allan sadly told me.

I gave him a stern look. "Don't say that. Never say that!"

"I'm sorry, but it's true. I want to make sure that you know I love you." Allan got down on his knees in front of me. "I love you with all my heart and I'd do anything for you. I'm not being or anything, but I fight for you. And if I had to I'd die for you. I don't want you think for one second that I don't love you. So... Sirena, will you marry me?" Allan pulled out a ring from his pocket.

"Allan." I breathed. I was so shocked that I could barely say a word. "Of course. Of course I'll marry. Of course. I love you!"

Allan put the ring on my finger. Then he kissed and hugged me.

Allan asking me to marry him is one of the best things ever. It's making me feel better about Kate being here. But it's not making me like her more. I see the way she looks at my Allan. Seeing it makes me want to kill her.

We were robbing Prince John. He and his men were traveling through the forest. Only it wasn't Prince John. It was a decoy. There was no money and most of the guards ran away. During the fight, Kate got hit with a knife. I think she's gonna die. My luck is that she probably won't.

The man that told Prince John's physician. But sadly, he couldn't save her. Such a pity. She bled out before they could save.

A few nights past after her death. Much was very sad about her death. Everyone was sad.

"Alright! This is enough!" I shouted, standing up. "We have to be out there, helping! But no! You all and in here, mourning about a girl that we barely knew!"

"Sirena's right. I hear word about the Sheriff is dead." Robin chimed in.

Father is dead?

"Who killed him?" I questioned with a crack in my voice.

"I don't know. The prince is blaming me for it." Robin replied with a sorrowful voice.

Allan stood up and put his arm around me. "I think this is a good time. Bring our spirits up. Ah... Well, I asked Sirena to marry me the other day and she said yes."

"Congratulations!" John shouted over all the cheering.

"Well, guys. Let's have a wedding. I'm sure Kate would have loved to see it happen." Robin joyfully said.

Everything's got to be about Kate! Kate this. Kate that. Why can't it be Sirena this and Sirena that!?

I shrugged away from Allan. "No! No, wedding." I angrily spat before storming away.

Kate has ruined about everything. The only reason why Allan propose was because she couldn't keep her hands to herself. I ever warned her. I don't want to marry Allan and find out he did it because of her. I want him to want to marry me. I want him to want to spend the rest of his life with me.

I just need to clear my head... And I know just where to go. I went to the tree that Guy showed me. For some reason, that tree makes things feel like... they're going to be okay.

I was sitting in the tree, when I heard horse huffs clap closer. I climbed higher in the tree and grabbed my dagger from my boot. Hearing footsteps approach, I growled. Seeing someone walk under the tree my face turned soft. Guy.

What is he doing here?

I crawled somewhat down the tree and jumped in front of Guy, scaring him.

"What's wrong with you?!" Guy questioned angrily, grabbing at his heart.

I started to laugh so hard I could feel my face turn red. "I could ask you the same."

Guy looked at me as if he seen a ghost.

"What?" I asked with a snotty look on my face.

"I thought to you were dead..." He softly said, lefting his hand to touch my face.

I scoffed and pushed his hand away. "Well, I'm not."

"But Robin..."

"But Robin tried hitting you. I was in the way and the arrow hit my arm. You left me there. Hood took me in." I explained, crossing my arms. "You abandoned me!"

Guy got down on his knees. "I'm so sorry! Can you forgive?" Guy said brokenly.

I laughed sarcastically. "You left with a bunch of outlaws! How can I forgive you? I thought, with Marian gone... We could be happy. Leaving me with the outlaws ruined any chance of us being happy together. Robin took me in. He was there for me when I needed help!" I started to back away for Guy. "I loved you, Guy. Really, I did. But... I love Allan more. And I'm going to marry him." I gave Guy a weak smile and put my hand on the side of his face. "I'll see you around."

His soft and sweet face turned hard and dark. The twinkle in Guy's eyes disappeared. I quickly back up when Guy pulled out his sword. "Very well." His voice was cold and rough. "If you won't be with me willingly... I'll just have to take you by force!" Guy got up on his feet and came closer to me with his sword pointing at me. "No need to look scared." He slowly made his way closer as I backed up with my dagger to him.

"Guy." My words were soft and tender compared to Guy's.

"Sirena." Guy jumped forward, grabbed my dagger and threw it.

"ALLAN!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs just before Guy punch me.

Everything went fuzzed out to black as I fell to the ground.
