Welcome To Asgard
18:24, 23 February 2022Rose POV
Ever had the experience of being sucked into some sort of vaccum with such a fucking force that it threatens to rip out your internals from your body while your lovely boyfriend and brother chuckle at your distressed screams?
No right? Trust me, it's a horrible experience.
Loki and Thor could have warned me beforehand but they didn't and here I am, screeching my head off while clinging to Loki's body like some weird koala, my arms and legs wrapped around him. He tried to comfort me but all I could hear was the whirring sound and loud ZOOP!
Fortunately, that 'being sucked in a tunnel' sensation vanished and all came to a standstill except for my screeches. Blood pounded in my ears as the food I had ate in breakfast, started to revolt inside me. I didn't even noticed that my eyes were still squeezed shut when Loki's smooth voice reached my ears.
"Love, you can open your eyes now and climb down." I felt him lowering himself and I slowly got on my feet. Opening my eyes, I met with such a beautiful sight that for a fraction of second, I doubted my living existence and thought I was in heaven. I gaped around, the nauseousness forgotten for a moment when-
"Welcome back, my Princes." A deep unfamiliar voice startled me as I whiped my head to face a tall, dark and heavily built man covered in some typical gold armour and a horned helmet which was worse than Loki's one. Well, I liked my Lemon's helmet but this person's one was not so good. His hand rested on a big sword. But what caught me off guard was his eyes. They were like molten gold, glittering like fire. "Welcome to Asgard, lady Rosebelle." He greeted me too with a slight nod.
"Umm... Hi..n-nice to meet you, sir." I stammered trying to smile politely but failing miserably. He is intimidating me. But how does he know my name?"Sister, he is Heimdall. He is the protector of bifrost. He keeps an eye on everyone in the whole nine realms." Thor said, smiling. I nodded and looked up at Loki, Thor and then back to Heimdall to find all of them staring at me amused.
"So... You can see anything Mr. Heimdall?" I asked, still shifting uncomfortably on my feet. Is it wrong that I am being scared of him? He nodded. "Anything." "I mean anything?" "Yes anything." He answered, his face covered with unsaid amusement. But I didn't care about that because my not-so-innocent mind was flashing some idiotic thoughts. He can see everything. That means he can watch ladies bath and couples making love and soo many things that should be done in private. Just thinking about these things made me feel exposed and uncomfortable.
I shuddered when Loki placed his hand on my back. "We should get going." He said, to Heimdall and Thor. "Your horses are waiting for you, Princes." Wait a second, horses!? They have horses here! Maybe they have cows too. Or goats or llamas...
But I didn't have the chance to ask about it when Loki started pushing me to start walking. But I stopped again as I took a good look of the dome like structure we were in at the moment. "Are those stars?" I asked to no one in particular, pointing to the entrance from where we supposedly reached here.
"Yeah, they are. Billions of stars and other heavenly bodies." Loki answered, staring at me. I nodded. It looked so beautiful! Much more beautiful than our night sky. "And are these gold?" I asked again, staring at the shining golden surface of the room and floor. To my utter surprise, both of the brothers and Heimdall nodded.
JESUS! Even the floor is made of fucking solid gold!!
"And are-"
"Sister, store your questions for future for you're not leaving so soon." Thor interrupted me as Loki started pushing me again. I huffed. Can't they answer my questions patiently? Before, we were out of the dome, I waved at Heimdall. "Bye! See you soon Mr. Heimdall!" To my delight, he waved at me back.
And as Heimdall had said, there were two regal looking horses waiting for us. They were a bit bigger than the horses back on earth and their mane was longer too. And did I say how muscular they were? Just one word to describe them: Majestical!
Thor caught me staring and with a smile, walked near one of the stallion which was chestnut coloured with cute curly blonde mane. There was a white symbol on his forehead that surprisingly, resembled the blazing emblem of sun. Just like in Tangled. "He's Cyrus." Thor said, patting the stallion who neighed loudly, nuzzling his nose in Thor's arm. I giggled and patted the horse's head. "Hello Cyrus!" The stallion neighed again and huffed at my face.
And the other one trotted in front of us, his head held high. Trust me, if I were a mare I would have dated this stallion. His coat was smooth and black. Blacker than the night sky and it glistened in the sun. His mane was black too but the ends were white. His mane longer than Cyrus and was straight, covering the side of his head. And just like Cyrus, he too had a white symbol but it was the moon...a crescent moon.
"He is Darcel." Loki said, as he caressed the horse's head with so much care. I blinked slowly, and gently placed my hand on Darcel's snout. "Hello Darcel..." I smiled as he stared at me with his big glinting blue eyes. Darcel sniffed me and then before I could understand his next step, he opened his mouth and was about to chew my hair when Loki pulled me back.
"Darcel, no chewing hairs. I have told you before." Loki chided the horse who neighed and huffed at him. "Well, you can chew other's hair but not hers, okay?" This time, Darcel nuzzled Loki, showing that he agreed to the term.
"Aww! So sweet!" I cooed, grinning. But the grin dropped when I saw Thor get up on his horse. I knew what was coming..."Come here Pud, let me help you to climb him." Loki said, extending his hand towards me. "Can't we just teleport?" I asked meekly. Frankly speaking, I was terrified. I have never rode a horse. I love animals but riding on horseback... I don't wish to die by falling from a horse.
Loki, maybe sensing my fear, kissed my cheek. "Don't be scared, Pudding. I'll not let you fall. Trust me, okay?" I gulped and nodded slowly. Well, what else could I have done? He pulled me to the stallion's side and without any warning, held my waist, raised me and plopped me down on the horseback. Darcel and I, both neighed... I mean he neighed and I yelped while Loki and Thor laughed. These two idiots...
I glared at Loki who just chuckled. "Sorry sweetheart..." Within a second, he was behind me, holding the rein while I pressed my back tightly to his chest. Thankfully, he wrapped an arm around my body and then with a flick, Darcel and Cyrus started their run, gradually increasing their pace. At first, I was scared and stiff but the next moment, I was enjoying the ride. I loved the wind tenderly slapping my face as I marvelled at the beautiful sights around me.
"Liking it, my love?" Loki asked, his lips brushing my ear, and nipping it. "Loving it!" I answered back, giggling. Thor was riding in front of us and yelled "slow babies". Loki smirked and clicking his tongue, he patted Darcel's back. "Faster! Faster Darcel!" And while competing each other, we finally reached the destined place.
Loki helped me to climb down the horse as some guards surrounded us and bowed. Not to me of course but to Thor and Loki. I looked at the front and gawked. Asgardian palace! Palace just like in Disney movies but golden and shinier. This much gold!! I grabbed Loki's hand as we walked into the palace through the large doors. The guards on our way, kept bowing and it made me feel somewhat queasy. I am dating a Prince. I should have seen it coming...
We passed the long corridors and rows of rooms. I was a bit sleepy. It was day in Asgard but back on Earth, it's dead night right now. The time runs differently here. All I wanted was to curl up in a bed with Loki and sleep. I craned up my neck to look up to find the golden ceilings. The pillars were golden. I mean, damn! From where do they get soo much gold!?
I tugged Loki's arm who was so silent till now. He looked down at me with his big green eyes. "What?" "Umm..." I hesitated and Loki came to a stop. Thor, who was walking in front of us, came to a halt too. "What is it, Pud?" Loki asked, placing his hand on my cheek. "Are we going to our rooms now?" I asked with a small voice. Thor walked near us.
"Are you tired sister?" Before I could answer, Loki nodded his head. "She's sleepy. Afterall it's her sleeping time Thor. It's night in Midgard." He said to Thor and then cupped my face. "We first have to meet Allfather, darling. He needs to know about our arrival. After that, we can go to our room and rest." I nodded, nervousness eating me up from inside. I've to meet his father, the King, the mean old man.
What was his name by the way? Ermm... Allfather, right? Typical name tho...
We resumed our walk for maybe more five minutes and then stopped in front of a huge gate that was closed and on either side of the door, stood two guards. They bowed and waited for Loki and Thor to give them the order to open the door.
Involuntarily, my hand found Loki's and I gave a hard squeeze. "C-can't I wait here while you two can go and-" "Sister, you have to come with us. You can't avoid seeing Father for long." Thor said with a grin. "But what will I say when I see him? Hi or hello? Or it's nice to meet you? Or do I have to do a bit of flattery?"
"You just have to bow. Bow with us, okay? And don't be nervous. We are with you and will be standing by your side." Loki said, kissing my forehead. "Okay... I can do it." I said with a forced smile while my mind screamed Liar at me. Thor nodded and the door opened slowly.
Thor and Loki started walking and I too forced my feet to work, keeping close distance with the brothers. Suddenly it clicked my mind-I don't know how to bow! Heck! What if I fall flat on my face?
All I wanted was to yell something stupid and turn around and run away without looking back. God, help me!
My eyes travelled up and rested on the figure sitting on a high throne with a long staff in his hand. He had one eye and a blank look plastered on his face. The vibes of power and authority oozing out from him as he started down at with his steely gaze that made my urge of turning and running away increase.
We stopped at the feet of the stairs. "Father." Thor said, his voice high and deep, as he bent down on one of his knee. "Allfather." Loki too greeted, a bit cold tint to his smooth voice, and followed Thor's suit. Without wasting any more seconds, I too knelt down and dipped my head.
"Mr. Allfather."
I had my gaze locked on the floor but I felt three pairs of eyes boring into my head. I looked up to find the males staring at me. "W-what?" I whispered, nervously to Loki and Thor. Did I do something wrong? But the hoarse and strong voice startled me.
"Rise my sons. Rise lady Rosebelle." I stood up straight with Thor and Loki and looked up at the King as he studied me with his one eye. "So, you are the Midgardian, my sons, wife and my Ravens spoke of?" He asked, leaning forward, his right brow raised. "I think, yes Sir." I answered politely, avoiding any eye-contact and wishing badly for a comforting hug from any of the brothers at the moment.
"Why do you hide your face, girl?" Oh right! I almost forgot about the black mask I was wearing. Afterall it's a part of my fighting costume which I was wearing right now. I obediently removed the mask and looked back at the old King who looked back at me with an unreadable expression. I squirmed under his gaze.
"You're an interesting mortal." His next words made me surprise. I didn't look at the brothers beside me but I knew, they too had the same expression as me. But the old man continued. "You're an interesting girl who managed to tame my youngest son."
Okay... I didn't like it. How can he speak like that about my Loki!?
I could feel Loki tense beside me. No, it's not right.
"Sorry but I didn't tame Loki! He's not some wild animal, needed to be tamed." I couldn't help but argue back. No one speaks of Loki like that and top of that, not in front of me.
"But you changed him. He's not at all the man with the murdering spree and chaotic nature. I appreciate your help, Lady Rosabelle." I took a deep breath to calm myself down and keep a neutral face. I have just arrived in Asgard for a short happy trip and downing for a fight with my boyfriend's father and that too the King was the last thing on my to-do list.
I understood why Loki didn't acknowledged this cray-cray man as his father. How could he? This old man was talking shit about Loki like he was just not present in the room! And how could Thor stay silent at the moment?
"I didn't change him Sir. He changed himself. I just kept supporting him and gave him the trust he needed. That's all. The credit goes to him." I said, keeping my tone in check. Rising my volume can lead to troubles.
Allfather stared at me for more few seconds and then smiled oddly. "Enjoy your stay in Asgard, Lady. I hope you'll like it." I blinked slowly before nodding. This man is odd. "You may leave." Thank God! "Except Loki." What! Why?
I worriedly faced Loki, and he gave me a soft smile, nodding his head. "I'll join you, darling." He said, leaning down to kiss my cheek. "Don't go near him. He can bite you." I whispered back to him quickly, before he could pull back. I smiled seeing him fighting back his chuckle. That's my goofy boyfriend.
Thor dipped his head and held my hand, walking out of the room, leaving Loki alone with the King. As soon as we were out, I faced Thor. "Why were you not defending him, Thor?" I asked, glaring at him. I didn't expect it from him.
He sighed. "Because it would have led to an unnecessary argument, sister and I didn't want you to face it."
"But it was him who started it Thor! We both know that he was wrong and was just indirectly insulting Loki." I retorted, curling my hands before my chest.
"I know that! And I really appreciate your concern sister but some words from me would have worsen the matter. And you too please don't argue with father like that. It will affect your impression in his eyes."
"I would better drop down in Allfather's eyes than to tolerate the insult of the person I love, Thor. Impression my fucking ass." I said, gritting my teeth.
I didn't mean to sound so rough but I couldn't help it. I was damn sure that Thor knew that I was right but why is he acting like this? Back on Earth, he always stood up for Loki and supported him but what happened to him now?

Loki POV
I knew it.
I knew that he would try degrade me in front of Rose and that's what he did. He compared me to some feral wild animal and with not a bit of hesitation.
I tried to be surprised but then again, I was not. How could I be surprised when it has become my habit to listen to his loathes silently? I wasn't surprised that Thor didn't speak up against Odin but deep inside, I was hurt.
It happened just as I had expected. Rose surely is feeling embar-
"Sorry but I didn't tame Loki! He's not some wild animal, needed to be tamed." My heart skipped a few beats when Rose spoke up, her voice steady and strong. Oh sweet Norns! She shouldn't argue back like that!
"But you changed him. He's not at all the man with the murdering spree and chaotic nature. I appreciate your help, Lady Rosabelle." Really Odin? Can't you give me a break? He's fully prepared to bring me down. Damn you Odin!
"I didn't change him Sir. He changed himself. I just kept supporting him and gave him the trust he needed. That's all. The credit goes to him." To my shock and delight, Rose spoke back again. Her voice a bit louder than before and I could hear the anger lurking beneath it.
I looked at her, my heart filing with unbridled emotions. She defended me. Beside mother, she's the only one who spoke for me against Odin. I felt something flutter inside me as I stared at her too calm face. The heavens above! What did I do to deserve this Angel?
I turned my gaze back to the stairs, waiting for some more rude comments but to my surprise, Odin just wished Rose a happy stay in Asgard. "You may leave." Thank the great ancestors. Finally I can-"Except Loki." Joy!
I rolled my eyes and faced Rose to find her already facing me with a worried look on her beautiful angelic face. I smiled to assure her. "I'll join you darling." I said, kissing her cheek. "Don't go near him. He can bite you." She whispered, scrunching up her nose.I bit back my laugh seeing her adorable face.
I love this silly mortal.
I looked as Thor grabbed her hand, nodded at me and left with her without looking back. A sigh left my lips as the door closed, leaving me and Odin alone in the throne room.
Odin stared at me with a smug look which I returned with my blank one. I know he wanted me to start and he knew that I wanted him to start. A minute passed in this staring competition and Odin, as always, gave up with a huff.
"What did you do to deserve this girl, Loki?" He asked, mockingly. I shrugged and let out a dry chuckle. "I have been asking this question to myself for past 2 months."
"But as a Prince of Asgard, you should not evolve yourself with some Midgardian in relationship."
"She's not 'some Midgardian' father. She's a warrior with powers that's not meant for a mere mortal. She may look fragile but when provoked, she's as dangerous as Sif in the battlefield. And if being a Prince I can't court the woman I love and adore, I am ready again... to give up the title. Willingly and happily." I finished with a wide, tight smile while my jaws were clenched tight.
He was silent for a while, studying me with his infamous unreadable expression while I grew restless as the seconds ticked by. Why can't he just dismiss me? I'm so eager to kiss and hug my darling-
"I hope you remember what happened when you courted someone for the first time."
His voice was calm and low but the words felt like sharp jabs of knifes in my heart. My smile dropped instantly. Composing myself with a deep breath, I looked up at him with a hard gaze. "Is it really needed to bring up the topic?"
"Of course it is." He nodded, resting his chin on his hand. "Look Loki, you're my son and I love you," It took every inch of my self-control not to snort out at that. "I just want you to remember that incident and the rest is your wish. Learn from your past, it may help you. How do you know that she won't leave you just like-"
He stopped when I raised my hand, my fist clenched. "First of all, don't say her name. And secondly, Rose is not any girl. It would be a disgrace to my love's name if she's compared to...her." Calm down Loki... Calm down."And believe me Allfather, I have learnt a lot of lessons from the past. Some were good but some were worst. By the way, thanks for your concern." I gave him my best not-so-genuine smile.
Odin sighed. "You worry me, Loki. I don't know what to do with you."Oh! So much disappointment father! I wanted to laugh. "Make sure she enjoys her stay." He said, waving his hand in a dismissing manner. "Of course, I will Allfather." I bowed and before he could start again, I turned around and walked out.
My eyes fell on Rose and Thor standing beside the pillar, waiting for me. I started to walk towards them but my pace slowed when I noticed their expressions. Rose was of anger and disappointment but Thor's was of sadness and hesitation. What happened here?
I approached them and Rose grabbed my hand. "Can we go now? I am really tired." She said and indeed, her eyes were a bit red. "Of course my love." I nodded and looked at Thor, who sighed deeply. "Is something the matter?" I asked, looking at them. Thor sighed again while Rose looked away, biting her bottom lip. I got silence as an answer.
"Very well then, let's move. Thor, are you coming with us?" He shook his head. "Nay brother... I need to take a bath and pay a visit to Warriors three and Sif." I hummed. As we turned to move, Thor grabbed Rose's hand and placed a kiss on her forehead. "I'll talk to you later, sister..." And with that, he was gone.
▼△▼△▼ △▼△▼△ ▼△▼△▼
Rose's jaw dropped as we entered into her room.
"This is my ROOM!?!" She sprinted inside, gawking like a little goldfish which she is, while I started to conjure up her belongings. Rose twirled in the room, her hands brushing the pillars and walls and then tossed herself on the bed."This bed is so big!" She exclaimed, spreading her legs and arms like a starfish.
"Rose, I want you to change and then you can sleep." I said, placing her camera on the bed. "Why do you treat me like a baby?" Rose pouted, sitting up.
"Because you are a baby. Now go fast." I pulled a whining Rose from the bed and shoved her into the bathroom, handing her her PJ's."I hate you! You're mean!""I love you too my Kitty!"
With a flick of my hand, all her possessions got neatly arranged in her room. "Are you hungry Pud?" I asked, rubbing my eyes. I'm sleepy too."Niaooooo!" She answered back from the bathroom. Silly Pudding.
Soon she came out, dressed in her black and blue PJ's and wrapped her hands around my neck. I smiled and hugged her tightly, my face nuzzling her neck. "What happened Loki?" She asked with a small voice while rubbing circles on my back. "You're the only one except mother, who defended me." I whispered and then pulled back. I cupped her cheeks and kissed her forehead. "I didn't expect you to do so."
She frowned. "Don't you remember what I promised you, huh? If someone talks ill about you, I'll break their jaw. His jaw is safe just because he's your and Thor's father." She said, cupping my face in her small soft palms. "But next time, I won't tolerate it. No one speaks bad about you."
"But what he said was true too. I mean-""Do you need your jaw hanging loose, Loki?" I shook my head. "Never.""Good." And with that, she pulled my head down and catched my lips with hers. Those electrifying sparks flew again at the contact of our lips. I grabbed her waist, pulling her closer as her warm tongue tapped on my bottom lip for entry which I happily allowed. Our tongues danced as we melted into the kiss only to pull back for air.
"I love kissing you!" She said gasping and giggling, placing her head on my chest. "Likewise Kitty." I replied back, caressing her flushed cheeks.
"Now sleep." I said as I picked her up in my arms. She wrapped her hands around my neck and smiled brightly. "Will you stay?""Um.. I have to rearrange my roo-""Please..." Odin's beard, why can't I resist her puppy eyes?"Okay."
She squiggled near me, wrapping one of her leg between my legs and curling one hand around my body as she pressed her face into my chest. I cuddled with her back, my fingers running through her silky wavy hair and within five minutes, her breathing became even as she lulled into sleep.
"My sweet feisty possessive Pudding..."
