Just a dream & Wrathful Deities
15:11, 23 November 2016Stiles's POV
The dreams are getting worse and worse. Not am I only not having any sleep but know I don't know what's real and what's a dream. I've had dreams where it's just me going to school or hanging out with Jenny. But, there are those dreams where it's random flashes of pictures that just don't make sense. I have to seriously scream my way out and that was the same for this morning.
" Hey, you alright?", my dad asks.
" Yeah I'm fine. Don't worry it was just a bad dream.", I say reassuringly.
"Okay"
I grab my English book off my desk. When I pick it up I looked at it closely. The words were scrambled. I couldn't read what was on the cover! I glance away and glance back and I could read what it said. I quickly shoved the book in my backpack and leave to go to school.
When I get to school I start walking to my classes when I see Scott running away from something.
" Hey Scott! You alright?"
Scott nods his head " Yeah, I'm fine"
" No your not, I don't have to be a werewolf to know that you're lying. You're seeing things also aren't you?"
" How'd you know", asks Scott
" It's happening to all three of you", says Lydia out of nowhere
" Well we did die and came back to life , so there must be side effects right?", questions Scott
The bell rings signaling is to go to class.
" We'll just keep an eye on each other it's okay", I reassure everyone
Scott and I walk to our new History class.
" Too bad I won't have Jenny in my First period now", I think to myself.
I walk in and take a seat behind Scott and wait for the class to begin.
Out of nowhere comes Jenny running in the classroom barely missing the tardy bell.
" Ms. Reyes, I do not want you being late for my class anymore"
" Okay sorry", says Jenny turning red with embarrassment
She took a seat in the last remaining desk in the back with the new girl.
" Class welcome to History and for right now I'll be taking over your class for the time being. My name is Mr. Yukimura. My family moved here a couple of weeks ago and you probably know my daughter Kira, or not because she's never talked about anyone at this school or even bring home a friend for that matter, so let's make sure to welcome her".
I hear big thump. I look behind me and it's the new girl Kira putting her head face down probably from embarrassment which I don't blame her for.
" Parents are embarrassing. I know first hand", says Jenny
Class went by a flash learning about American History and having to read a couple of chapters. Scott and I go to my locker.
" Maybe we need some time to get back to normal?"
" Scott we sacrificed ourselves to a supernatural beacon and then came back to life. I think we will not be " back to normal any time soon."
I look at my lock. It was different instead of the regular numbers, it was symbols. I struggle trying to get the damn lock off but had no luck. I look at Scott and his eyes were Red.
" Scott you're eyes", I say.
" What about them?", Scott asks.
" They're red", I mutter.
I look at what he's staring at and it's the new girl from our history class.
" Let's go Scott. Heads down. Let's go to our next class."
Jenny's POV
Lunch today was very confusing. Allison talked about visions of her dead Aunt, who I have no clue why she's important. Scott can't turn into a werewolf because he thinks he's out of control and Stiles can't read and has nightmare. Typical problems for a teenager.
" So, what happens to a person when they have a near death experience and comes out seeing things?", asks Scott.
" And can't tell what's real or not", Stiles adds.
" Also is being haunted by Demonic visions of Dead relatives."
" Well that's easy than, I spoke up. They all looked at me. You get a really good therapist. They all stare at me. Well sorry! I have no idea what's going on and you're all being really serious".
" Well I think they're all locked up because they're insane", Isaac adds.
" I get Jenny's reason to make a joke but can you be helpful for one second. That would be great."
" I was locked in a freezer by my terrible dad ,so being helpful is a new thing."
"Wow I didn't know Isaac had to go through that. That's really sad actually", I think to myself.
" Um Hi", says Kira
" Hi Kira", I wave at her.
" Hi Jenny, but I overheard what you were talking and I think I know what you're talking about."
" Great someone who knows something", says Stiles
" Well there's a Tibetan word for it. It's called Bardo. It means in between state, the state between life and death.
" Are you talking about Bardo in Tibetan Buddhism or Indian", Lydia questions.
" Either I guess, but all that you guys are saying all of that happens in bardo. There are different progressive states of hallucination , some you see and some you just hear. You can also be visited by peaceful and wrathful deities.
" Wrathful deities. What are those?"
" Demons", I say.
" Of course demons", says Stiles looking at all of us.
" Shit! Of course demons. Why does my life have to be so complicated!", I think to myself.
" Wait how did you know about the wrathful deities?", Scott asks.
" I read it somewhere", I say feeling guilty that I have to lie to my friends. Well I have to go bye guys. Bye Kira.", I say waving goodbye.
I walked over to Sean and all his friends and interrupted whatever they were talking about.
" Sean I have a problem and I need your help. Come one we're going to have to talk to dad about this.", I say dragging Sean to my car.
" This better be worth missing the rest of school."
" I assure you it is."
Stiles's POV
" Well that was certainly strange. Don't you all agree?", I question.
" Is it weird that she always leaves when we mention Demons?", asks Allison
" Maybe she's had a history with them?", I propose.
" No, I think she knows something and she's not telling us", says Scott.
" Why would you think that?"
" Because her heart beat went up when she told that she read it somewhere when we asked about the wrathful deities."
" So she lied about knowing what they are?", Isaac questions.
" No, she lied about reading it somewhere I think she's knows more about Demons than she is telling us."
