Chapter 6: Checkmate

(ZAYNS POV)

"YESSSS. VACATION IS HERE." I screamed in excitement.

"No, stupid. We have to go to college tomorrow." Louis moaned, looking pained at the very thought of school.

"College? Why? We have super successful careers!" I griped angrily.

"Simon told us we needed to keep up on our studies. Since we basically abandoned school since the xfactor." Liam reasoned. We let out a collective groan before our bodyguard Paul came into our hotel room.

"Guys, you better not be groaning about college again. Trust me, you'll be fine." He told us.

"But...but there'll be fans who go there! What if they eat us?" Niall cried out, looking angry at the fact we had school.

"Niall, they won't eat you. Just sign an autograph or take a picture. They'll go away after the first week or so." Paul advised. We nodded.

"Anyhow, I can to bring you guys your school supplies." Paul continued, spilling an armload of school stuff on the floor of the hotel room.

"Whoa. What the f*ck Paul." Niall cursed

"LANGUAGE." Harry shouted. Harry HATES cursing.

"God Harold, I'm sorry. I'm Irish mate, it's in my blood." Niall protested, covering his ears. Paul raised an eyebrow at the two bickering. I moved over to look at the supplies.

"I got 5 of each thing. Ok? Pick the one you like the most, No fighting." Paul scolded. Nodding, we all gathered around the pile of school stuff, snatching things and stuffing them into the backpacks Paul supplied.

Mine was black leather-ish stuff, with reflective metal pieces along the sides and silver zippered pockets. Harry's was dark orange with nearly invisible zippers, Louis' was white with navy blue stripes, Liam's was teal plaid, and Nialls was dark red with a Nandos logo at the bottom. Which was weird...a Nandos backpack? And we were in America right now? Hm. We stuffed our school supplies away before jumping into our beds.

Tomorrow was school-but despite that fact, I still couldn't get my thoughts off of Kayla. I need to see her again. She was something special.
