Chapter 4

22:15, 26 January 2014

Siva was all alone and bored out of his mind. He didn't know what to do with himself. He thought of calling up Jay so they could meet at a pub and have a few drinks, but then he remembered their situation.

He then recalled what happened last night and craved Jay once again. Unsure of what to do, he texted Jay and requested to go over to his place.

He waited an hour and never received a response.

•••

The sun had finally set. Jay went out with his brother Tom to a club.

Tom figured it would cheer Jay up and get Siva off his mind. Unfortunately it only pushed Tom out of his comfort zone since it was a gay club. But, he didn't really mind, because he was doing it for Jay.

They sat at the bar and chugged down some beer. Tom kept browsing around hoping to find someone of interest to Jay.

"Found anyone you think you'd like?" Tom asked Jay.

"I'm not even looking."

"Come on, Jay. You need to get your mind off of Seev."

"I know, I just don't feel so confident."

"Why not?"

"Just reasons."

"Whatever they are, ignore them. Just find someone before I get flirted with."

"Fine. I'll try." Jay turned around on his stool and browsed around the crowd. Most of the guys were up and dancing. A lot were shirtless and raving with glow sticks. This wasn't Jay's scene, but it was the nearest gay club.

"See anyone you like yet?"

"Tom."

"Yeah?"

"Shut up."

"'Kay."

"Hi there," a man said to Jay as he approached the bar.

He wore a dirty blonde quiff and appeared to be in his early twenties. His body was thin, but muscular, and he was only a couple of inches shorter than Jay.

His eyes were a bright green, and his lips a light pink. He kind of resembled Siva without the phenomenal cheekbones, and his eyes were bigger. He was cute, and Jay was instantly attracted.

"Hey," Jay replied.

"You must be new here," he said with a fairly deep voice.

"Yeah, I am. My brother dragged me here." He signaled to Tom. Tom gave a wave.

"So you're gay and your brother isn't?"

"Yeah, how'd you know?"

"Because, he looks like a frightened puppy," he laughed; Jay joined him in.

"Why'd he drag you here?"

"Erm..."

"Because, Jay here is looking to get laid," Tom replied.

Jay's face turned red with embarrassment, making the new acquaintance chuckle.

"I figured. I already knew who he was, since I'm a fan of his band. Jay's actually my favorite member."

"Oh, well, it's an honor to be your favorite," Jay replied awkwardly. The guy smiled in response.

"And, that's my cue to go," said Tom.

•••

Jay was in a taxi with the guy he met at the club, whom's name he learned was Daron. They were headed to Jay's place and had spent the entire time making out in the backseat.

Once they reached his front door they found Siva sat in front of it on the floor.

"Siva?" Jay called.

Siva looked up and to the side. "Jay," he said happily. He got up and spotted Daron behind him.

Jay wrapped his arm around Daron's lower back and brought him to his side. Siva stared at the two and then at Jay's arm that was behind the blonde lad.

"Hi!" Daron said happily. "I'm Daron."

"Hey, I'm Siva."

"I know. I'm a huge fan of your band." He grinned.

"Cool."

"What is it that you wanted?" Jay asked.

"Nothing at all. Just enjoy your night."

"I will."

Siva gave Jay one last glance and then walked away.

"What was that all about?" Daron asked as they walked into Jay's flat.

"We had an argument, that's all."

Daron looked around the flat while replying, "I hope it isn't anything serious."

"It's nothing you should worry about." Jay walked up to him and held him by his waist. Daron turned around in Jay's arms to face him and smiled.

"Okay, I won't. So, what do we do now?"

"Well, I was hoping we could start out with this." Jay seized Daron's soft lips. He liked the way they felt. They were much more softer than Siva's.

After being granted access, Jay delved into Daron's mouth. Their tongues danced around endlessly.

Daron's hand grabbed the back of Jay's hair as he fell deeper and deeper into the kiss. Jay thought it was the perfect moment to strip away each other's clothes, but then Daron pulled his lips away.

He looked up at Jay with innocent, shimmering eyes. "I-I don't do this type of thing," he said, and then turned his eyes away shamefully.

"What do you mean?"

"I don't just sleep with random guys. Being intimate with someone is supposed to be special. They have to be your lover, and only yours. I might be the only guy who thinks that way, but I don't care.

I always imagined what it would be like to date you. Then I met you at the club and thought, this is my chance. But, your brother Tom said you just wanted a one nightstand, so my dream was instantly crushed.

But, I saw the way you looked at me and how you blushed, and I liked it. So, for the first time ever I allowed a practical stranger to bring me to his place. I was going to let you be the only exception, but that's not like me. I wouldn't feel good about it after. Therefore, I can't go through with it."

Daron brought his hand to Jay's chest and pushed away, allowing himself to get out of his grasp. "I'm sorry," he said.

"Daron," Jay tried to come up with a response, but he didn't know what to say.

"I'm sorry," he repeated.

"Don't be. I just don't know if your trying to ask me out or something."

"It wasn't my intention, but yeah. I guess so."

"I would have said yes to you in a heartbeat. I've been looking for a guy to date for some time now, and I never found anyone. It's been pretty rough on me.

Now, I've stopped searching for someone. I did something wrong that only left me in heartbreak. So, I think it would be in my best interest to continue hanging solo for a while more.

I just needed someone to get my mind off of things. That's why you're here right now."

Daron nodded, showing his understanding. "Who was the guy that hurt you?"

"I can't say. I just wish I wasn't so stupid and foolish to think that he'd actually want to be with me."

"Who wouldn't want to be with you? You're smart, sexy, and sweet. It's the perfect combination, not to mention you can sing."

Jay chuckled. "Thank you for that."

"It's fine. Just let me know when you're going to put yourself out on the market again."

Jay gave one of his cute lopsided smiles. "Deal."

•••

"Again, Siva?" Nareesha practically exclaimed while Siva walked into their apartment.

"What?"

"I've been calling you all night and not once did you pick. Why do you keep going off the radar?"

"What are you talking about?" Siva trudged to his bedroom with Nareesha on his tail.

"Two days ago you went about without anyone knowing where you were and now you've done it again."

"I'm sorry mommy," he mocked. He sat on the bed and kicked his shoes off. He then unbuckled his belt and pulled his pants off.

"I'm not trying to bother you, you know that. It's just important that you tell me where you are or where you're going for your safety. What if you disappear for days? I'd tell the bobbies about your disappearance, but they would be hopeless in finding you, because I wouldn't know where it was that you last went off to."

"Alright, I get it." Siva pulled off his shirt and threw it to the floor.

"So, are you going to tell me where you were?"

"I'm here now, so what does that matter?" He laid on the bed and tucked himself under the duvet.

"Siva, why are you acting this way? Just tell me where you were."

"I was at a pub, okay. I had a couple of drinks and then sat there watching TV."

"It's one in the morning. You stayed there the entire night?"

"Yeah, I did."

Nareesha sat herself down on the other side of the bed and stared at Siva. He closed his eyes.

"What's wrong? Did something happen that you're not telling me about?"

"No. I don't know what's going on with me. I'm sorry if I worried you or made you upset. Now, can I sleep? I'm really tired."

"Yeah," Nareesha barely managed to say.

I probably could've done a way better job with this chapter, so I'm sorry if you didn't really like it.
