CHAPTER 16: the M.BULLY wars (part 2: heat wave.)

(2 days before the deadline)

AUBREY woke up, but SUNNY wasn't in bed.He was at the table, making sandwiches, and sharpening knives.

AUBREY: sweetie?Is everything ok?

SUNNY: yes.

AUBREY: how long have you been awake?

SUNNY: since 6:00 AM.Why?

AUBREY: you've been awake for 4 hours already!?What have you been doing awake this early?

SUNNY: well, first i took a bath while crying in the shower, then i had a existential crisis, then i looked at you sleep for two hours straight, and now I'm sharpening my knifes.

AUBREY: none of that's healthy!Sweetie!Why did you even wake up so early?

SUNNY: nightmares, dread, etcetera.You know, the basic.

AUBREY: at least you already made breakfast i guess.But I really need to take you to therapy.

SUNNY: i tried that.My therapist needed therapy after i told him everything that happened in my life.

AUBREY: oof.That's rough buddy.

SUNNY: I'm just too afraid about the MASTER BULLY stuff.I couldn't sleep.

AUBREY then hugs SUNNY from behind.

AUBREY: you don't wanna try sleeping again sweetie?We don't have class today, and you look a bit tired.

SUNNY: i am a bit tired.Ok, let's go back to bed.

They went back to bed, and SUNNY fell asleep, while AUBREY was watching him.

AUBREY: *sigh* i wish someone didn't want to kill us.Or separate us.

KEL then woke up.

KEL: Good morning AUBREY!

AUBREY: Good morning KEL.

KEL: you look a bit down.Is everything ok?

AUBREY: yes but also no.I mean- *sigh* i love being with SUNNY, but it seems like there's always something or someone to ruin our fun.It's a bit stressful.I mean, i have 2 days to save his life!What if I fail?What if I die huh?SUNNY will just go turtle mode again, just like when MARI died.

KEL: if you stay so negative, then you'll never going to make it.You have to try your best AUBREY!Don't give up because things are hard!I believe in you! SUNNY believes in you!

AUBREY: thank you KEL.I'll try.

KEL: Good, you also have to remember that you're not alone!You have SUNNY, and BASIL, and KIM, and me!

AUBREY: you know KEL?When you're not dumb, you say some worthwhile stuff.

KEL: I'm not dumb!

AUBREY: sure, keep lying to yourself.Also, where's BASIL?

KEL: i don't know.He vanishes all the time.Says he has to do something important at the botanical garden.

AUBREY: I'll ask SUNNY about it when he wakes up.

SUNNY then woke up, looking rested even though he only slept for 10 minutes.

AUBREY: good morning sweet stuff.

SUNNY: G-good morning AUBREY.

AUBREY: do you know where BASIL is?

SUNNY: nope.He just up and left.

AUBREY: Huh.Weird.Didn't think he would do that.Wanna eat breakfast and go look for him?

SUNNY: he didn't tell what he was doing for a motive, and we should respect his wish.And I already ate breakfast.

AUBREY: oh. Ok!Then I'm going to eat breakfast.You can do whatever you want.Just, Don't get out the dorm.

SUNNY: ok.

SUNNY got up from his bed, and started polishing his knifes, while AUBREY ate breakfast.

AUBREY: when did you start your knife collection SUNNY?

SUNNY: some months after i moved from faraway.It's been a hobby for some time.What have you been doing when I moved?

AUBREY: you know, taking care of BUN BUN, commiting small crimes, arguing with my mom, stopping my house from becoming a bio-hazard.Normal mentally unstable teen stuff.

SUNNY: i wish I could have been there to help you.

AUBREY: at least BASIL, KEL and HERO were there.But I wished you were there too.At least you're here now.Also, how has it been living with one eye?

SUNNY: that's a very sensitive question AUBREY.

AUBREY: oops.Sorry if that made you uncomfortable.

SUNNY: No, no it's ok.It's a valid one.It's not hard, but it's...weird.Sometimes I try to grab stuff but I miss.Hasn't happened in a while though.

AUBREY: well, it's not as bad as it could have been.It could have been worse.

SUNNY: i don't want to talk about that.It makes me feel bad.

AUBREY: ok, so let's talk about something else.

SUNNY: The fact that i collect knifes creeps you out?

AUBREY: No!I think it's cute (in a creepy way) actually!

SUNNY blushed slightly.

SUNNY: T-thanks.

AUBREY: you're probably not the only person to collect weird stuff!I heard there was a guy that collects winds!

SUNNY: Winds?How do you collect wind?

AUBREY: i dunno!He just puts air in a pot i guess.

SUNNY: but won't the air go out the pot eventually?Because of the cracks in it so that air enters it?

AUBREY: that's a paradox.And probably a very hard and stupid hobby.

SUNNY: we are having a too insightful conversation about wind.

AUBREY: we sure are.Why is it so hot today?

AUBREY took off her coat, sweating.

AUBREY: that's better!

SUNNY blushed biting his lip, looking at a sweating AUBREY, with her coat off.

AUBREY: why are you looking at me that way?Something wrong sweetie?

SUNNY: N-no.It's just the heat.

AUBREY: should i turn on the fan?

SUNNY: S-sure.

AUBREY turned the fan on.And sat near SUNNY.SUNNY was sweating, attempting to polish the knife on his hand, but paying a bit too much attention to AUBREY.

AUBREY: you're still sweating.You should take a shower.

SUNNY'S MIND: WHY DID SHE SAY SHOWER.IT'S NOT HELPING.

SUNNY: N-no need.I'm ok.

AUBREY put her hand on SUNNY'S forehead.

AUBREY: You're lying.Or you have a fever, or you're very horny.

SUNNY: I'm going to the shower.

AUBREY: ok.

SUNNY went to the bathroom, and started taking a shower.AUBREY stayed at the table, waiting for him.

AUBREY'S MIND: does he like my muscles?I'm not that buff.I mean, i could carry him, but that's not much, is it?

SUNNY got out of the shower.

AUBREY: SUNNY.Do you think I'm hot?

SUNNY: like a thousand Suns.

AUBREY blushed.

AUBREY: you're cheesy.So cheesy that's cute.Come here.

She hugged SUNNY, and he blushed a lot.

BASIL came inside the dormitory.

BASIL: hi guys, sorry i went out without saying anything.I was just doing some stuff...Am I interrupting something?

AUBREY: Nope.We're just hugging.

SUNNY: Y-yup.

BASIL then took a picture.

BASIL: you two are so cute together!

AUBREY: Thanks.What were you doing at the botanical garden?

BASIL: Just taking care of a very "special flower".

SUNNY: when can we see it?

BASIL: When it blooms.

AUBREY: alright, you keep your secrets.

SUNNY: I'm hungry.Let's eat lunch.

BASIL: Sure!

They ate lunch.SUNNY made some chicken with noodles.

AUBREY: that was perfect!

BASIL: i could eat SUNNY'S food forever!

AUBREY: me too!We should take some to KEL.But where is he?

BASIL: I know where.Also SUNNY, can you make two more dishes of Chicken and noodles?

SUNNY: Sure.

BASIL took the chicken and noodles and went outside the dorm.

*Knock* *knock*

CRIS: Come in!

BASIL: SUNNY made lunch, so i thought to bring some for you guys!

CRIS: thank you BASIL!

KEL: You da man BASIL!

KIM: I'm not hungry, so I'll pass.

BASIL: You sure?

KIM: Sure!

BASIL: then bye!

BASIL leaved CRIS's dorm.And went to the botanical garden.

BASIL: Honey?Are you here?

???: Darling?What are you doing here?

BASIL: I brought some lunch for you.

???: Oh sweetie~You take care of me so much.I wish I didn't have to Stay on this chair all the time.

BASIL: it's ok!I love being with you!

???: Y-you do?

BASIL: I do!When can I present you to my friends?

???: What if they don't like me?

BASIL: Don't be silly honey!They'll love you!

???: You sure?

BASIL: I'm sure.

(Smooth transition to the dormitory)

SUNNY was drinking some coffee.AUBREY was drinking soda.

AUBREY: are you tired sweetie?It's so late to drink coffee.

SUNNY: it doesn't have caffeine in it.I just like the taste.

AUBREY: ok.If you say so.

SUNNY: 2 days till we have to fight him huh?I hope it goes well.

AUBREY: don't worry.He's not laying a finger in you.

SUNNY: and you?

AUBREY: You worry too much sweetie.

SUNNY: you're strong, but I still have the right to worry.I am your boyfriend after all.

AUBREY: then you should get some pepper spray.*Chuckle*

SUNNY: i have pepper spray.I bought one before coming here.

AUBREY: you've had pepper spray for MONTHS and you just talked about it now?Why!?

SUNNY: you never asked.

AUBREY: Why would i ask?Pray tell my dear lover, why would I ask?

SUNNY: Dunno, maybe you needed pepper spray.

AUBREY: *sigh* let's not talk about that.We'll probably need it for when we fight him.

SUNNY: isn't that overkill?We're already stabbing him and hitting him with the bat.

AUBREY: it does seem a bit cruel.

SUNNY: and that's why we're doing it.I love that plan.

AUBREY: i mean, ok.But let's eat some dinner and go to sleep.

They then ate some dinner and went to bed.

AUBREY: Good night SUNNY.

SUNNY: good night AUBREY.

They kissed and drifted off to sleep.

BASIL comes in through the door.

BASIL: I'm back-Oh.They are already sleeping.Guess I spent too much time at the botanical garden.Better go to sleep too.

BASIL ate the dinner SUNNY left for him at the table, and went to sleep too.

KEL: it's getting pretty late.I better go.

KIM: Just when we were getting to the good part!Dangit.

CRIS: Bye honey!Good night!

KEL: Good night CRIS!

KEL rushed back to the dormitory.

KEL: everyone is already asleep.Guess I better go too.

KEL ate his dinner and went to sleep.But someone was looking through the window

???: thank goodness.They are ready for the brutal battle that's coming.Hopefully brother doesn't hurt them so much.I beg for your safety....BASIL.
