Chapter 13 – Traveling To Meet Who?

Madison's P.O.V.

“Hey, sleep head. Time to wake up.” I whispered into The Doctor's ear.

It was the next day after everything had happened. After me and this Doctor got together and had our first proper kiss together, we had a 'couples' day. Which basically meant sitting around watching films and eating food while The Doctor attempted to nurse his hangover. He attempted to be romantic by saying he would cook me a meal, but I ended up having to order in a takeaway after he complained about a headache.

After it got later on into the night, we both headed off to our bedroom. But after a while, I ended up having another nightmare and The Doctor rushed in. It was one of the worst ones I had, so The Doctor decided it was best for him to stay in my room with me.

Just in case, of course.

So, here we were now. Wrapped warmly under the covers of my bed, while I brushed out some hair of The Doctor's hair. It normally takes a very little to wake him up, but with his hangover, he would probably sleep through the end of the world.

“Ermummmmmmm.... What's going on?” He mumbled, fidgeting around in bed.

“It's 11:30. Time to wake up.” I replied, giving him a kind smile.

“Oh right. Morning beautiful.” He smiled, turning to face me.

“Oh, I bet you say that to all the girls.” I smirked.

“No, only to you now. Lucky, beautiful, amazing you.”

“Aww, you're so sweet. Not excuse me while I go throw up.” I sighed, rolling my eyes. I turned and began to climb out of bed, but a pair of arms were pushed around my waist and I was thrown in the air and onto the bed.

“AAARRRGGGHHHH!” I screamed, as I landed onto the bed.

“And where do you think you're going? Huh? I presumed we were having another 'couples' day. This time, I was hoping for one while we laid around in bed!” The Doctor laughed, leaning over my face.

“Oh, that sounds good! Very good. You can have very good ideas! Sometimes.” I smirked, trying to move past him.

“Excuse me, we've establish that today is couples lazy day in bed. You're not allowed to leave bed. What do you need, I'll help you!”

“I need to use the bathroom.”

“Ah. That I can't help you with. As you were.” He blushed, rolling away from me.

“Idiot.” I mumbled, walking out the room and into my en-suite bathroom.

“Heard that!” He called, as I shut the door.

I quickly went to the loo, before washing my hands and grabbing my toothbrush. I began the normal morning procedure, before I heard a door slam into a wall and somebody running. I natural jumped, before slowly walking over to the door. I pulled it open carefully, and made my way out, only to see my empty room.

“Huh. Doctor? Where are you?” I called out, noticing my bedroom door as open.

“I'm..... hure....Maaaaa... Madison. Argh.” A voice called out.

“Doctor? Where are you, what's wrong?” I asked, walking out the room.

“Help.”

That one word sent me straight into action. With my toothbrush in hand, I ran straight down the corridor and towards The Doctor's room. I ran straight into the room and towards his bathroom.

“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! COME HERE, YOU ALIEN BASTERD! I AM ARMED WITH A TOOTHBRUSH AND I WILL TAKE YOU DOWN! I WILL KICK YOU IN THE ALIEN BALLS AND TAKE YOU DOWN TO THE GROUND. I WILL FIGHT YOU AND.... And... Doctor? What are you doing on the floor? By the toilet? And what is.... Oh Christ! AFTER ALL THAT WERE YOU JUST BEING SICK?!” I screamed, looking at the ill Time Lord.

“This Hangover is really bad... Oh god...” He cried, before turning away again.

“Oh that's disgusting. Couple's day is off. You're staying in your room, while I go somewhere else.” I scoffed, turning away and walking off.

“Sorry....”

“Don't worry abut it. I'll just sit and do nothing.” I sighed, just before a beeping noise took over. “Or maybe not...”

“Maddy? Maddy, what's that noise?” The Doctor yelled from his room.

“It's the Vortex Manipulator! I'll just go check it out!” I shouted back, as I walked into the kitchen.

The kitchen was still in a mess from our after clubbing party two nights ago. Me and The Doctor really couldn't be asked to clean it, as we were both a little busy.

“Maddy? What does it say?”

“There's a small amount of alien energy and activity. I'll just go check it out.” I called out, grabbing my coat and phone from by the door.

“What? Maddy, you can't go alone! I'm coming with you!”

“No you're not! You stay here! You're ill! It's only a minor threat, so I'll be fine! Just stay here, I'll be back later!” I yelled, quickly grabbing a gun from the living room.

“Please, Maddy! Stay! Where even is it you're going?”

“Oh I dunno. Hang on. Oh it's....” I started to yell, before I hit the wrong button and was taken to my destination.

The usual white light surrounded me, as a tingling sensation took over me. I soon landed to the floor, as I got to finish my sentence.

“Norway...” I breathed, looking around at the familiar beach.

I was stood in the same spot that I had originally found this Doctor in. Exactly the same spot. My breathing became shaky, as all my old memories came flooding back to me.

“Good! So lets get cracking then! Rory, could you find me some paper please and Captain Rachel, do you know where this teleport come out in the Parallel World?” A voice called out.

“Hello? Is anybody there?” I yelled, as I moved my hand to my gun in my pocket.

Umm, yes actually. I think it's over here.... Ah here it is! It says.... Can't be specific but it's in Norway. Possibly a beach.” Another voice said, but this time female.

“HELLO? Look, is somebody there? This isn't funny! Who's out there?” I shouted, pulling out my gun and pointing it, as I span on the spot.

“A beach in Norway? Bit familiar.......Doctor. The paper you wanted.” Two different voices said, making me stop on the spot.

“Doctor?” I breathed, dropping my gun to my side.

After a brief moment of silence, a clap of thunder suddenly erupted. A white light started to grow from a small circle, as the thunder soon changed to a buzzing noise. The white circle soon took over the beach, and the power threw me backwards. I landed with a thud in the sand, before I quickly heard two last voices as the suddenly light vanished.

“You did, Doctor! TELL ME NOW!....... Nothing, Rachel! Look me, Amy and Rory are done here now anyway. So we'll be off!”

“Doctor? Amy, Rory? Anybody? Please. Doctor, please! You promised you'd never let go.” I whispered, as a tear snaked down my cheek.

I slowly got up from the floor, as I grabbed my gun and edged my way back over where it happened. From looking, there was nothing left. Everything was back to normal and just the way it was. Except one thing. Where the light appeared, there was just something blowing in the breeze.

A note.

I reached down and grabbed it, and tried no to cry or scream with joy and worry.

'Madison Lauren Kristin Brown. I'm coming for you and I'm bringing you home. Doctor xx'

Oh god. He's was coming for me, he finally was. It had been over 3 months and he still hasn't forgotten about me. How did he know I was alive? Nobody knew except U.N.I.T and my Doctor from this Universe. I just...

Oh no, this Universe's Doctor! How was I going to tell him? He was still expecting me back. I loved him and he loved me, but it was the same for the real Doctor. What was I going to do?

A million more questions ran through my mind at once, but a quick beeping noise bought me back to the moment. My phone started ringing to signal I had a text message, so I whipped it out from my pocket to see I had a message from The Doctor.

'Are you okay? What's happening? Do you need any help? Doctor xx'

'There is no alien. I'm fine. Maddy x' I replied.

Stupid mistake really. The Doctor knows when I'm lying even through text. He can tell from the bluntness from my texts and only putting one kiss. It was nice that he knew me well, but sometimes he knew me to well.

'Don't lie to me. What's the matter? Do you want me to come out to you? Doctor xx' Read the new text from The Doctor.

'Doctor, I am fine. Don't you dare come out here, just stay at home! You're ill. I'll be back soon! Maddy xx'

I sighed as I sent the text and took another quick look around the beach. I had a strong feeling something was going to happen soon, and this beach would be involved. I folded the note carefully and placed it inside my pocket, reminding myself not to let The Doctor see it.

I grabbed my teleport in my hand, and was about to travel back home when another text on my phone distracted me.

'Madison Lauren Kristin Brown. I'm coming for you and I'm bringing you home. Doctor xx'

I let out a staggered breath, as I realized they were the same messages. How alike where they?! The Doctor couldn't come here, he would figure something was up. I needed to get home quick.

I pressed the teleport button and I was soon back home by the door. I dropped my teleport and phone on the side table, as I ran into the living room.

“Doctor? Doctor, where are you?” I called out, to see his stuff wasn't in the room.

“Maddy?” The Doctor shouted back.

“Doctor! It's me, I'm back! Don't worry! Where are you?”

“In the kitchen!”

“Why are you in the kitchen? Get back into bed! You're ill, and it's clearly not to with a hangover anymore. Whatever you were getting, I'll get it.” I commanded, rushing to his side.

“I was coming to get you. What happened? I thought something got you, as you didn't reply to my last text! Are you alright?” He rushed, pulling me into a hug.

“Thank you for caring, Doctor, but I can handle myself. I'm fine. Stop worrying, I don't always text you when I'm in possible danger. Just stop worrying and get back into bed.” I said, sounding rather harsh.

“Woah, Maddy. Somethings wrong, what is it? Tell me.”

“Nothing! Why won't you believe me for once, for crying out loud!” I cried, pulling out of our hug and walking out from the room.

“Maddy! What the hell is the matter with you? There is something wrong, so don't even try lying! I know when you're lying!” The Doctor yelled, following me out the room.

“No, you don't! In the three months I've been here, you barely know me!”

“Why are you being like this? I thought we were doing well together and having a nice time!”

“Yeah? Well you thought wrong!” I screamed, slamming the door to my bedroom.

I ran over to my bed and soon was crying into my pillow. I didn't want to be mean to The Doctor and push him away, but I knew something bad would happen. If the real Doctor did find a way to get over to me, I would have to face a huge choice.

The Parallel Universe's Doctor or the real Doctor.

And I had no idea who I would choose.

12 Hours Later...

It was now around midnight, and I hadn't slept at all. I had just been curled up in my bed, crying while alone. The Doctor hadn't bothered me since I yelled at him and I don't blame him. He had no clue what was wrong and there was no way I could tell him. It would brake his and my on heart as I knew he would ask the question I'm going to be dreading.

Him or the real Doctor.

I sighed, as I moved out of bed, not even bothering to wipe away my tears. I kicked off my shoes, as I left my bedroom and I headed towards the stairs at the back of the flat. I walked out the back door, and made my way up the stairs towards the roof.

Me and The Doctor always came and sat up on the roof when we were upset or needed time. Especially at night, the view of the London at night was always to pretty to nice, and the cold and quiet would always be night.

I sat down on the edge and dangled my legs over the edge, and I soon regret only coming up here in a vest top and high waisted shorts. The cold nipped at my skin as the cold, midnight breeze blew quickly around me. I pulled my arms closer round me to try and shield myself from the cold.

Suddenly, a brown tweed jacket was draped over my shoulders and I pulled it in closer to me. I didn't even need to ask or say anything to the person, as I knew already who it was.

“Hey.” The Doctor breathed, siting down beside me.

“Where did you get this jacket?” I asked, running my hand over the material.

“I brought it the other day. It was on offer with a few other things. Black trousers, braces, bow ties...”

“Bow ties? Did you buy it? Why did you buy this?” I rushed, finally looking him.

“Yeah, bow ties. Yeah, I brought it all. It looked quite nice. Like I said, it was on offer and it just seemed right to buy it. Why all the questions?” He asked, moving closer to me.

“It's what he wore. The real Doctor, those were his exact clothes. His signature outfit. You brought the same thing.” I rushed, as my tear welled up with tears.

“Hey, hey, Maddy. What is wrong with you today? Every since you came back from that beach you've been acting strange. Come on, you can tell me.” The Doctor cooed, pulling me into a hug.

“Nothing, okay. Nothing happened. It... It was just the alien activity was in Norway, at Bad Wolf Bay. It just bought back some memories, that's all.” I lied, giving him a weak smile.

“Right, sure. I understand. It would've been the same for me. Maddy, can I ask you something?”

“Go for it.” I replied, pulling out from our hug and leaning on his side.

“When we first met, I promised I would help you go back and find your Doctor. It's been three months and we never figured out how you got here. If we did find a way, would you go back? To that world and him?” He asked, looking like he was struggling to ask it.

“I... I... I do... I don't know. I'm happy and settled here, I'm not sure if I would want to go back. Yeah, I miss the traveling as I'm a Time Lord and I miss certain parts of that life, but here I have a normal life. I have you. But this isn't going to last forever.” I admitted, not looking at The Doctor.

“Why not?”

“You're mostly human, Doctor. Meaning you're going to age, grow old and eventually die. I can't. I'm going to look like this for ages.” I replied.

“Oh, I see. I never thought of that. I can take you back, if you want. You can find the real Doctor and be with him. I don't mind.”

“You do mind. Don't take me back. I'm staying. With you.” I smiled.

“You mean it? Promise?”

“Promise.” I replied, giving a tight smile

1 Week Later...

“Maddy? You actually going to leave your room?” The Doctor asked, leaning against the door frame.

Ever since mine and The Doctor's chat on the roof, I had spent the next week in my room. I had a lot of think about. I was convinced the real Doctor would turn up soon and I would have to make a big choice about who I would choose. Who would if affect the most? How would it affect me? What would happen if the real Doctor even turned up?

Anyway, I had basically spent the week sulking in my room and only leaving to eat. The Doctor couldn't really get anything out of me, as I couldn't tell him. Not even about that note I got. I still got that tucked away safely with me.

“No, I love my bed and my bed loves me. Leave us to our romantic relationship and be happy for us.” I smirked, ducking under the covers.

“Now, I'm going to have to not be happy for you. I'm quite jealous of your bed. It's getting more attention than me.”

“Too bad. Now leave us be.” I commanded, sounding serious than I should.

“Umm, no. I intend to come in and remove you from bed. You need to get out, Maddy. Lets go out for the day or something!”

“You'll have to get in the bed with me then, because I'm not leaving. Problem?” I snapped.

“Hey! No need to snap, I was only joking. What's up?” He asked, coming to sit on the bed next to me.

“Nothing.”

“Well that's a lie. Ever since last week you've been distant from me and not socializing with anybody. Come on, Mads......”

“Don't call me that.” I said, interrupting The Doctor.

“Sorry. Please, Madison. You know you can tell me anything. Just tell me.” He pleaded.

“I can't. I can't tell you. Not this, you have to trust me.” I whispered, as my eyes watered with tears.

“Madison, why can't you tell me? Is somebody hurting you, or threatening you?”

“No, nothing like that!” I cried.

“Then what, Madison? I understand there are somethings in your life you want to keep secret, but you need to tell me! I can help you.”

“I can't tell you! You can't help me in anyway! If I told you it would only make things worse!” I yelled.

“WHY?!”

“Because I.... What's that noise?”

“What noise? MADDY!” He shouted, as I pushed past him and sprinted out the room.

“It's the teleport, there's alien activity out there. I need to see it! Where's the teleport?” I shouted, running into the living room.

“Does it matter? Maddy, this is more important!”

“No, it isn't! And yes it does matter! It matters more than anything in the Universe at the moment! Now, where's the bloody teleport?” I muttered, searching everywhere for it.

“Why is it so important? It's on the table by the door, where you left it after last week.... Is that what it's to do with? Last week? What happened last week, Maddy? Maddy!”

“I can't tell you right now. I just need the teleport!”

“No, Maddy. Stop. Give it to me.” He snapped, snatching the teleport before I could grab it.

“Doctor. Give it to me, please.” I begged, holding out my hand.

“No, Maddy.”

“Just read me what it says then. Just tell me.”

“Maddy, I.... “

“TELL ME!” I shouted, causing a shocked look from The Doctor.

“It's umm... Norway again... Bad... Bad Wold Bay.” He stuttered, handing over the teleport.

“Oh god. Not now, please not now. What am I going to do?” I muttered, running a hand through my hair.

“Maddy, it's in the same place again. What happened. Tell me, now what happened at Norway last time.” The Doctor demeaned.

“How many times.... I can't tell you! And you're not coming today! I'm going to Norway and don't you dare follow me.” I snapped, shoving into his shoulder as I pushed past him and walked into the kitchen.

“Excuse me? What the hell, Maddy?! Don't tell me not to come, as I am so coming with you today! I am finding out what happened th........... Maddy, what's this?” The Doctor asked, making me face him.

The Doctor was holding a piece of paper in his hands. It was the note.

“Doctor... I can explain...”

“Madison Lauren Kristin Brown. I'm coming for you and I'm bringing you home. Doctor. Where did you get this?” He asked, looking at me shocked.

“I'm sorry.” I whispered, grabbing a gun from the kitchen and walking back to him.

“It's him, isn't it. The other Doctor, he's coming back for you. He is, isn't he, Maddy? Please tell me his isn't. Is this why you were weird with me all week? ANSWER ME!” He screamed, as tears fell down his face.

“I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry.” Were the only words I could mutter.

I clutched the teleport in my hand, as I slowly pressed my hand down onto the button. But before I could go, The Doctor lunged at me and was sent away with me.

“No, Madison!” He yelled, as the scenery changed around us.

Bad Wolf Bay.

“Why did you come with me? I told you to stay behind!” I shouted, pushing his chest.

“Maddy, you promised me! You promised me you'd stay with me! Yet here we are, running back to your old Doctor! I am not giving you up, Madison! I love you!” He cried, as more tears ran down his face.

“I love you too! But I need to see him! You two look the same but you're two different people! I fell in love with him first and then I died in his arms! He now somehow knows I'm alive, when I'm not suppose to be! I need to see him! Why can't you understand that!” I screamed, as I began to cry too.

“I can understand that, but please Maddy! Don't leave me! I love you and I don't want to be alone again! Promise me you'll stay!”

“I... I... Pro....” I began to say.

I was cut of a large bang behind us, as an explosion of colours erupted around us. The energy force threw us back to the ground, but it soon settled down. I quickly jumped from the floor and looked over at where it happened.

Three people were lead there. And I'm pretty sure it was Amy, Rory and The real Doctor.

“Madison... Don't.... leave...” The Doctor breathed, as he stood up behind me.

“I love you.” I smiled.

“Oh, Maddy. I love you too.” He replied, putting his arms out to hug me.

“But I'm sorry. I'm really sorry.” I cried, before taking off running.

“MADISON! PLEASE!” The Doctor yelled, as he ran behind me.

I saw the traveled over trio suddenly looked over at me, and I saw the real Doctor begin to cry and the sight of me running at him.

“DOCTOR!” I screamed in joy.

“Maddy. No.” I heard The Doctor behind me say, as he struggled to keep up with me.

The next few hours were going to be interesting....
