Chapter 11 – Painkillers And Shocks? Not A Great Combo!

The Parallel Universe Doctor's P.O.V.

“Eurgh.” I moaned, as my eyes began open.

The bright sunlight of the morning shone through the windows, causing me to close my eyes again soon. Another groan left my lips, as the pounding feeling in my head only became more intense. I rolled onto my side and slowly opened my eyes, to be faced by the pink walls. It was all so...

PINK?!

My room wasn't pink! Mine was brown with white. Only Maddy's room was pink in our house. I was obviously in some strangers house. How drunk had I got?! I looked around for more clues, but only saw a pink dress, some wardrobes and a desk. Wait, there was a picture on the desk. I squinted closely only to see it was of.... Me? Why was there a picture of me with a girl?

Wait.... Pink walls, pink dress and a photo of me. I knew where I was....

“Eurgh.... My head!”

I froze on my side, as a person next to me began to move round. Once they settled down again, I slowly slid under the covers to only see I was clothes-less. Oh god, I was naked in a girls bed.

The person next to me began to move again and I could make out they were looking at their surroundings. A hand landed on the covers above my face, as the girl froze in her spot. Her hand traveled up and down the duvet over my body. She stopped at my head and quickly pulled down the covers, as I shut my eyes and pretended to be asleep.

“Oh. My. God. What the hell have I done?”

“Hello, Maddy!” I smiled, as my eyes burst open.

“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!” She screamed, jumping out the bed and pulling the duvet with her.

Oh no. I was naked too. I quickly rolled off the bed and hid my body beside it, as Maddy looked at me in shock.

“Maddy, I can explain.” I muttered, looking around for something to cover up in.

“CAN YOU REALLY?!” She squealed, wrapping the duvet tighter around her.

“Well, No. But can you?” I argued.

“Me?! It's my bedroom, you weirdo!”

“Good point. But...”

“GET OUT!”

“I can't.” I muttered.

“Why not?!”

“I'm naked. Like you.”

“YOU'RE WHAT?! Oh my god. What happened last night. Why are you still in here?”

“I'm naked, idiot. You'll see me!” I blushed, becoming embarrassed.

“Oh geez. Right, I'm looking away now. Just run. We're speaking about this later, Mister!” She cried, turning her back on me.

“Agreed.” I muttered, before legging it out the room.

What the hell happened last night?!

~*~ 30 Minutes Later~*~

I had taken a quick shower and pulled on some jeans and and a loose t-shirt, before heading downstairs. I walked into the kitchen and made got two glasses of water, along with some painkillers. I grabbed it all and trudged into the living, only to fins Madison in her PJ's on the sofa.

“Hey.” I breathed, making her look up at me.

“Oh, hi.” She smiled.

“Got you these. Don't know if you'll be allergic to them, but...” I began to say as I handed her the painkillers, but she quickly swallowed them without the water. “Or not then.”

“Yeah, sorry. Had a real bad headache. Female Time Lords get colossal hangovers.“ She explained, slumping further down into the sofa.

“I understand. So.... We going to talk about it?” I asked, making the situation more awkward.

“Suppose so. What can you remember?”

“Not much. I remember coming to the club to get the alien and finding you in the bathroom, with.... Y'know. Then we danced and then kissed. That's as far as I remember.” I explained, as I took the painkillers with the water.

“Yeah same. Parts are blurry. I know we started getting drunk at the club and I remember bringing a load of people back to ours.”

“That would explain the mess upstairs. Anything after?”

“Not really. Just that then after everybody left, I went to bed and I think I went to sleep?......OH MY GOD!” Maddy suddenly cried.

“What? What is it? What's wrong?” I asked, jumping from my seat to stand in front of her.

“I didn't go to sleep last night.”

“What?”

“And neither did you.” She carried on, wide eyed.

“What are you saying, Maddy?” I asked, as the night started to come back to me.

“Just remember that we were very, VERY drunk last night.”

“Maddy, what happened?” I asked, gripping the top of her arms.

“I think we slept together.” She finally admitted, looking shocked.

“What? Oh haha, Maddy! Very funny!” I replied, thinking it was all a joke.

How wrong I was.

“I'm not joking, Doctor.”

“But you have to be. I mean, really? Come on! We wouldn't! Would we?” I asked, beginning to pace the room.

“I don't know. But think about it! We were both extremely drunk and neither of us remember anything. Then I remember not going straight to sleep and next thing you know we both wake up in my bed. Naked.” Maddy explained.

“Oh dear Christ. We slept together. Like properly slept together. And I don't mean sleeping, I mean...”

“Yeah I got that, Doctor! Thanks.” She interrupted, rolling her eyes.

“Sorry but, Maddy. WE SLEPT TOGETHER!” I yelled, slumping down into the chair.

“I know! Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god! This was not meant to happen. It's just not right!” She shouted, giving as frustrated groan.

“What do you mean 'just not right'? Am I not good enough?” I asked, slightly offended.

“NO! Not that. It's just you're married. I mean, I know she's gone but you're still married! And I kinda have a boyfriend. I know I'm dead and you're half him.......Dear god!

“HALF MY BOYFRIEND SLEPT WITH THE OTHER HALF OF MY REAL BOYFRIEND'S DEAD GIRFRIEND! AHHHHHHH!” Maddy screamed, placing her head in her hands.

“Maddy! Calm down! It's okay!” I said.

“Okay? How on Earth is this okay?” She demanded.

“It could be the start of something....” I muttered.

“Start of what?”

“A relationship.” I whispered.

“WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TRYING TO SAY?!”

“That I like you, Maddy. That I really like you, okay? I have since I met you on that beach in Norway. Hell, I know it's bad to say since I had just lost Rose, but I couldn't help it! I've been a complete idiot recently but It's because I didn't want to admit my true feelings for you. ” I said, suddenly finding bravery to tell her.

“Doctor, I.....”

“Madison you're a beautiful, intelligent, interesting and funny girl. Any man who passes you must be mad not to fall for you. That kiss you gave me was amazing. I know it was only to save my life and meant nothing but it meant loads to me. It was like fireworks going off inside, as my heart beat began to race. And when we kissed last night at the club, it felt so right! I'm sorry if you don't feel the same, Maddy. I just needed to tell you!” I admitted, looking down at the floor in embarrassment.

“I love you too.”

“What did you say?” I asked, snapping my head up to look at her.

“I said I love you too. You're The Doctor. I would love you no matter which version you are. I feel in love with the real one of you, but I lost him. But I found him again. And it was you. You're my Doctor and I love you.” She cried, jumping up over to me.

“You mean it? You really mean it?”

“Of course I bloody mean it. I love you, Doctor!”

“I love you too, Madison! Now come here. There's something I always wanted to do. When I'm not drunk.” I laughed, as I lent forward.

I pressed my lips onto hers and they worked in sync like they were made for one another. Fireworks went off inside my mind, as my stomach fluttered with Butterflies. Just like the first time.

I finally had Madison. And it was perfection. Me and her living together as a couple in the Parallel World. I wanted this forever now.

But how long does forever really last?

A.N. I DO NOT NOT HAVE A HANGOVER! Well, maybe a little.....
