Chapter 76

8 Years Later

I'm standing in front of the dining table and prepare for the breakfast before my boys and my husband go out from our house and have their activity.

"Morning, mom." Chandler smiles at me and sit down on the dining table.

"Good morning, cutie pie." Finn smirks at me and give me a quick kiss on my lips then sit down on the dining table.

"Dont call me like that here." I roll my eyes and toss his head.

"Good morning, mom and dad." Ross says and sit down on the dining table to have breakfast.

"Okay it supposed to be four boys here. Where is Joey?" I ask them.

"Maybe still sleeping after playing games until midnight last night." Chandler says to me.

I exhale and leave the dining room then walk upstairs. "Joseph!" I shout and walk upstairs. I turn my way to Joey's room and open his room door slowly. Chandler was right, he is still sleeping in his room and laying his body on the bed with the blanket covered up his whole body. "Joey, honey, wake up or you'll be late."

"Oh Maddeline, I miss your touch, baby." Joey's talking in his sleep.

"Who's Maddeline?" I raise my eyebrows.

Joey open his eyes quickly and turn his face at me then giggle. "Mom! Good morning, mom. How long you've been there?" Joey giggles.

"Get ready now. Breakfast is ready downstairs or you'll be late for school." I said to him and stand up from his bed.

"I'm coming." Joey sighs and walk to his bathroom.

I shake my head and walk out from his room. There will always be something like this every morning. My sons are become teenager now. They already 16 years old and they are sophomores in high school. And they become the most handsome teenager that I've ever met. Even more handsome than Finn when he was teenager.

We lived in Manchester now. We moved here since my children enter middle school. Finn is still working as co-producer in Sony Music in London. And we all live in a house that my grandma gave my dad and my dad gave this to us. A house with seven bedrooms with two housemaid that usually help me do the housework.

I'm still having my interior design enterprise and sometimes I'm also directing for music video helping Finn since he always hire me for that. Then I also own the cake shop that used to my grandparents's. My grandma died one year right after my grandpa died and it was really right on my birthday again. So two years in a row on my birthday was really sucks.

"Is he already awake?" Finn asks me as I walk back to dining room.

"Yes." I nodded. "By the way who is Maddeline?" I ask Ross and Chandler.

"He told you, mom?" Chandler raises his eyebrows at me.

"No. But he called me with Maddeline." I roll my eyes and sit down on the dining table.

"Haha." Chandler laughs. "Maddeline is the captain of cheerleader in our school. Joey had crush on her but she is totally into Ross and Ross is totally into a nerdy girl from science club." Chandler says to me.

"She is not nerd. She is really smart." Ross shakes his head.

"Nerdy-hot." I nodded.

"That's what I mean." Chandler points at me.

"Hey, good morning, dad." Joey finally walks downstairs and bring his ransel then sit down on the dining table.

"Morning, Maddeline." Finn chuckles.

"Who told you both now? Chandler or Ross?" Joey rolls his eyes.

"I asked who's Maddeline and Chandler told me everything." I grin at Joey.

"Bing bing." Joey mumbled and rolls his eyes.

"Mom, my friend went to the cake shop and she said that she likes the frozen yogurt there." Ross says to me.

"Thank you. Your friend or girlfriend by the way?" I raise my eyebrows.

"Mom, please..." Ross let out a sigh.

"I dont know why, I'd rather to hear your dad say 'Maddy, I have a new girlfriend' than you guys say 'mom, I have a new girlfriend'. I'm jealous." I giggle.

"So I can get a girlfriend?" Finn smirks at me.

"Who wants to be your girlfriend, daddy?" I raise my eyebrows at him. "You're almost fourty." I roll my eyes.

"Hey, my mom got married with Burt when they both fourty and remember that your dad also married when he is fourty." Finn says to me. "They're teeanger. Just let them. Like you never be a teenager before."

"I was the senior vice president in high school." I proudly said.

"I was the quarterback of football team and dated the head cheerleader. I was popular. So kids, you have to take my advice if you wanna your high school year become bright." Finn says to them.

"Yeah then your head cheerleader got pregnant when you both were sixteen and claimed her baby was yours when the fact that she cheated on you with your bestfriend. Epic." I chuckle.

"I cant imagine if a girl told me that she carried my baby when I'm sixteen." Joey said.

"Ask your dad then." I laugh.

"Well, at least my ex-girlfriend didnt call me stupid." Finn simply said.

"Nobody calls me stupid." I frown at him.

"Oh let me refresh your mind. Senior year of high school, you dated Sam Evans but you cheated on him with me but you didnt realize that until he called you off stupid." Finn says to me.

"Okay he is married with your beloved ex-girlfriend." I roll my eyes.

"Do you both ever cheat on each other when dating?" Chandler asks us.

"No. I never cheat on your dad but I made him as someone that I was cheating with." I said to them and walk to the kitchen to wash my hand.

"What about you, dad? Do you ever cheat on mom?" Ross asks Finn.

"Only once and it was stupid. Totally stupid. Even though only hook-up texts." Finn says to them. "By the way, you guys are teeanger now and it's legal to get girlfriend and ignore what your mom said."

"As long as no one of you will make me get panic attack and tell me that your girlfriend get pregnant that's fine." I turn my face at them and smile at them.

"We know our line, mom." Joey says to me.

"Good. Well, if you guys are still here, you might be late for school." I said to them.

They take their ransel and stand up from their seat. "See you, mom and dad." Ross says to us and walk away.

"See you two!" Chandler waves us goodbye and walk away.

"Wait for me!" Joey shout and take another slice of bread. "See you, mom. See you, dad. Love you both." He kisses my cheek then make little run to follow his brother.

"He is the sweetest one." I giggle. "What time you wanna go to work?" I ask Finn.

"In five minutes. My coffee isnt empty yet." Finn simply said. "Do you need any lift to shop or somewhere?"

"I want to go to gym for yoga class then go to the shop." I said to him.

"Well, get ready now. I'll drive you there." Finn says to me.

"You wont be late to your office?" I raise my eyebrows at him.

"I dont have any urgent things to do today." Finn says to me.

"Alright, I'm gonna change my clothes and take my bagpack." I said to him and walk upstairs.

Actually I have my own car so does Finn. The boys have one car since they havent get any license so we only let them using one car but next year they will have their own car.

I'm walking to my walk-in closet. Everyone in this family got their own walk-in closet in their room include my sons. I re-decorate their room include mine with Finn also the walk-in closet.

"I said dont take long." Finn walks in.

"No. I just need to wear this sneakers." I said to him and take a sneakers from the wardrobe then wear that. I take my bagpack and turn my face at him. Finn smirks at me. I raise my eyebrows at him then chuckle. "Why are you looking at me like that?"

Finn walk closer to me then put his hand around my waist. "Fifteen years passed but you still look like high school teenager. Maybe if one of our boys bring you to the prom, their friend will think that you are their girlfriend not their mom." Finn giggles.

"Ugh shut up." I chuckle and cover his mouth with my hand. "We better go or you'll be late for work."

"Uh-huh no." Finn shakes his head then he pull his face closer to me and kisses me softly.

I put my hand around his shoulder and kiss him back until we pull our lips each other away and smiling at each other. Finn takes my hand then hold my hand and walk lead me out from our room. This is my little family. And I'm really proud with that.

I hold my bagpack and walk to enter the cake shop as some costumes are standing in front of the counter and checking out the cake or bakery or buy coffee and some are sitting down and having breakfast or brunch I guess.

"Good morning, Mrs. Hudson." Bella smiles at me.

"Morning." I smile back at her and walk to my office.

This cake shop not only sell cake now. I changed it into pastry shop where divided into three counter. Bakery and coffee, cake and cookies, also ice cream and yogurt since I have three sons and they become teenager and sometimes they hangin out here with their friends.

And this is my daily activity. If I dont have any direct project to do or any client, I will go to the shop and checking out everything. I dont wanna make my grandparents sad so I have to make this store open and will always stand still even though I changed the name with 'Francis Coffee and Pastry Shop'. But glad that the customer is still trust us and this place never empty from customer.

I walk out from my office and walk to the counter and make a cup of hot latte. "Henry, can you make a list about supplies we need to but for the next two days? Leave it on my desk. Thank you." I said to him and drink my latte.

"Yes, ma'am." He nodded and walk away.

We dont have store manager here. I'm the one who handle and take over here also being the manager and the owner at the same time so I have to know everything include about the receipt of our bakery and cake.

"Good morning, welcome to Francis Pastry Shop, can I help you?" I smile to the customer who looking at the cake counter.

Yeah. I'm not bossing here. I also help my staff to serve the costumer or when I want something I can easily take it by myself not only ask them to make one. My dad taught me that.

"I want a fresh opera cake for my son's birthday party this evening." That woman smiles at me.

"Medium size or large size?" I ask her.

"Medium size. It's only for twenty kids." She smiles at me.

"Alright, ma'am, just write down what do you want to say on the cake on this paper." I smile back at her and give her a paper also a pen.

"Are you the new manager here? I went here last week and bought cookies and the pita bread but I didnt see you." She said to me and give me the paper.

"I'm the owner actually. My grandparents hand me over this store after they died." I smile at her. "Well, take a seat, your cake will come." I said to her and walk to the kitchen and give that paper to a staff also the opera cake with medium size.

I might can serve the costumer and I can make the butter cake or sponge or bread but for the garnish like that, I cant do that. I'm not as talented as the cook who works here.

"Thank you." I smile at him and bring the cake out from the kitchen.

I take cake box from under the counter and place the cake inside the box. That woman walk back to the cashier and pay for this cake and give me some cash. I really love this job, seriously.

"This is your change and your cake." I give the change to her also the bill and the cake box. "Thank you for shopping with us."

"Thank you." She smiles back at me and walk out from our shop.

I take my cup of my hot latte then bring it to my back office. I sit down in front of my table and turn on my computer. I miss my dad. I told him to move out with me and back here but he never want to leave Lima and just like what Finn's mom said, they want to stay there so we will always come back to Ohio. That's it.

"Excuse me, ma'am. This is the list of store supplies." Henry walks in and give me the store supplies book.

"Thank you." I nodded and turn my face to my computer to make a list to order these things we need to buy and since this is a pastry store so I have to buy things at least once in two days so it will always be fresh. That's what mom told me when ny grandparents handle this shop.

"You made this place become a classy place for 80th people by playing The Beattles?"

I turn my face and Finn grins at me and walks into my office still with the suit he wore this morning when he drive me to the gym before he went to work.

"Are you supposed to be still in office right now?" I raise my eyebrows at him.

"We need a place for meeting so we went here and right you're still here. I though you already went back home." Finn says to me.

"I have to order some supplies first." I said to him and stand up from my seat and put my hand around his waist. "Want something?" I ask him.

"Yes. One thing." Finn grins at me.

"What is that?" I raise my eyebrows.

"You." Finn smirks at me.

"Aww nice try, daddy. The sun still bright." I laugh and bring him out from my office.

"Then?" Finn chuckles.

"Just saying that." I chuckle and shake my head.

"Finn, we have meeting here. You grt your time later or I'll call your father-in law." Mr. McGimmy chuckles. "Hey Madison." He smiles at me.

"Hey. You guys already order something?" I ask them.

"We did." Mr. McGimmy nodded.

"Alright, I'm gonna back to work." Finn give me a quick kiss on my lips then walk to his table with his work friends to have meeting.

I walk to the counter. This is kinda crazy. I'm still wearing my short legging, a tanktop, also a sweater for my outer and sneakers since I dont bring any new clothes and I went here right after I had my gym but now it's already 3pm and in two hours, I'll be back home and this store will close at 10pm. It's open at 8am and close at 10pm.

I walk to the ice cream and frozen yogurt counter and check out the fruit and I smell something bad from the berries. Ugh they need to change it.

"Logan, could you please change this berries?" I ask him.

"Yes, ma'am." He nodded and take the berries out from the counter and walk to the kitchen.

I turn my face back to the corner then turn my face to the door until I see Joey walks in with a girl behind him and they both chuckling at each other.

"Dad, you're here!" Joey turn his face at Finn.

"Hey, buddy." Finn hi-five with him.

"Dont disturb your dad. He is having a meeting here." I said to Joey.

"Oh hey, mom. This is Maddeline. The girl I told you this morning." Joey says to me and introduce that girl to me.

"Oh hi. Nice to meet you." I smile at her.

"Nice to meet you too, Mrs. Hudson." That girl smiles back at me.

"Alright, do you want ice cream? Or frozen yogurt? Or waffles or pancakes? Just choose what you want, I'll pay. Dont worry." Joey says to that girl.

I move a little bit further than them then turn my face at Finn. We both start looking at each other and holding a laugh. This is first time my son introduce a girl to me. They really grow up.

That girl sit down on a seat on the corner as Joey walks to the counter walk passed me to the frozen yogurt counter as Logan just placed new mix berries in the counter.

"Need help, honey?" I ask Joey.

"No, I can do this by myself. Just make the bills for me. I took two frozen mix berries yogurt, mom." Joey says to me and walk out from the counter with holding two cups of frozen yogurt.

Yeah I taught my sons that if they want something from here, they can take it by themselves and since they enter high school they made their own rules that they also have to pay if they want something like ice cream or cake or frozen yogurt.

I know my son especially Joey. He is the sweetest one but also the kookiest one. Now he got a girl with him and just like his dad, he playing it cool in front of his girl.

"Here. I told Julie to make lunch for me so I dont need to buy lunch at school and I have money." Joey grins at me and give me some cash.

"To buy new video game?" I raise my eyebrows.

"No. To ask her out." Joey says quietly at me then walk back to that table.

"Honey, your change." I said to him.

"Keep it for the tips, mom." Joey smirks at me.

Finn and I look at each other again. I know we both wanna laugh out loud according to this but we hold it so Joey wont find out. We dont want to embarassed him in front of his girlfriend.

Finn's works partner stand up from their seat and seems like their meeting is already done and they ready to go back to their home.

"Mad, can you pack me two slice of that rainbow cake for my daughter please?" Mr. McGimmy says to me.

"Yes, sure, sir." I nodded.

I was about to walk to the cake counter but Bella took that cake faster than me and put in into the cake box then give it to me as I'm still standing in front of the cashier table.

"How's your dad?" Mr. McGimmy asks me as he gave me his credit card to pay the cake.

"He is good. Still taking care of the business in Ohio and sometimes he went to L.A and I convience him to move here but he never want to." I said to him and give the credit card back to him also the bill and the cake box. "Thank you, sir."

"Tell your dad, dont spend his old time with honeymoon every day. Come here and hangin out with me." He chuckles and walk out from our shop.

"I remind him with that every day." I roll my eyes and walk to Finn's table and sit down opposite him. "You hungry?" I ask Finn.

"I had catering with japanese food at office today. What is that called? Bento." Finn says to me and drink his ice latte. "That's his girlfriend?" Finn asks me.

"I dont know. Maybe." I shrug.

I turn my face to the door then Ross and Chandler walk in with some of their boy friends. Yeah they usually hangin out here. Even Finn called this place as 'The Other of Lima Bean'. I change the design of this shop and change the name so it will be a cool place for teenager to hangin out not only as cake store but still, if you wanna smoke, I left some place on the terrace.

"Hey mom and dad." Chandler smiles at us.

"Hey, honey." I smile back at him.

"Mom, did Joey went here?" Chandler asks me.

"Over there." Finn simply answer and points to Joey at the corner. "Glad that I have gay brother." Finn says proudly.

"Idiot." I roll my eyes and cover his mouth with my hand.

"That's right, I dont need to worry if Kurt gonna steal my girlfriend." Finn chuckles. "By the way, I guess you should change this place's name to be 'The Manchester Bean'." Finn says to me.

"No. I dont want to. This is already become a great place for hangin out. You can get coffee and eat cake or cookies then if you bring kids you can give them ice cream or yogurt. That's healthy." I said to Finn.

"Mommy knows better." Finn smiles at me.

"Do you wanna go home now? I want to go supermarket and buy some food stocks first." I said to him.

"Sure. I need to finish some works too." Finn nodded.

"Alright." I said and stand up from my seat then walk to my office and take my bagpack and my phone from the office. "Henry, the store supplies will come tomorrow morning and leave the inventory for today on my desk. Thank you." I said to him.

"Yes, ma'am." He nodded.

He is the supervisor in this store and the senior one. He worked here since five years ago and I really trust him. So that's not a big deal.

"Where are you going to?" Ross asks me.

"Home. Your dad still have work to do and I want to go supermarket first." I said to him.

"Okay I'm going home with you both." Ross says and take his ransel.

"Guys, your mom and I go home first. Dont go home too late." Finn says to Joey and Chandler.

"Yes, dad." Joey nodded.

"Dude, where are you going to?" Chandler asks Ross.

"Home with mom and dad. I have to finish my homework. You take the car." Ross throw the car keys to Chandler then walk following me and Finn as we went out from the shop.

"Something's wrong with you. What happened huh?" I raise my eyebrows at Ross.

"You know the girl with Joey? That's Maddeline and she scared me, mom." Ross says to me and get into the back seat.

"Scared you like what?" I ask him.

"That girl is totally into me and I dont like her and I'm kinda you know... my triplet brother is crazy about her and I dont want to fight with Joey only because of a girl because that's stupid." Ross says to us.

"Glad that I have a gay brother so I dont have to worry about you in love with Kurt." Finn grins at me.

"But with Blaine." I simply said.

"What?" Finn frowns while driving.

"I really want to get a chance to make out with Blaine until now. If he wasnt gay, I would be standing on the front line to date him. He is such a handsome gay." I said to Finn.

"Okay you both not helping out right now." Ross says from the backseat.

"I'm sorry for that but I guess what you did is totally right, honey. You need to tell Joey to be more affected to that girl and you become cool to her and she will take a look at him. Trust me." I said to Ross.

"Yeah you're right, mom. Thank you. You are kind of love expert." Ross giggles.

"Love expert? She only have two ex- boyfriend." Finn laughs out loud.

"You too, asshole." I roll my eyes.

Finn is still laughing. I turn my face to the street and let out a sigh. I was trying to give a solution for my son. That's it. That's what my dad usually did when I got a problem and he gave me solution.

I'm sitting down on the sofa in living room and looking at the box with a lot of photos inside with Finn is sitting down next to me and watching tv.

"Aww look at this. This is when we direct Grease musical drama." I said to Finn and show him the photos.

"I miss them." Finn says to me.

"I miss the K-Hole sectionals." I giggle.

"What is that, mom?" Chandler asks me and sit down on the other sofa and take potato chips from the table in front of us.

"Your dad and I photos when we were in high school also some of your photos when you were little. Wanna see?" I said to Chandler.

Chandler moves his seat and sit down on the carpet floor right in front of my seat and looking at those photos from the box.

"You both were in glee club? That's cool." Chandler says to us. "Dad, what is this?" Chandler laughs and shows us the picture of Finn's topless and wearing a glasses walk in the McKinley hallways.

"Dont try to do that at school or you will get your warning letter. We were doing Rocky Horror then I was insecure with my body so I let it out with that but then I got into principal office." Finn says to him.

"But that was such a cool experience." Chandler chuckles.

"Mommy, mommy Joey Jr is hungry." Joey walks downstairs and hold his brown fluffy puppy then walk to the kitchen.

"Oh my Gosh. What is this?" Chandler laughs and shows us the photos when Finn and I wearing pink wig for the Grease show.

"What are you laughing at, dude?" Joey joins us.

"I'm looking at mom and dad high school pictures." Chandler says to Joey. "Whoa this one is inapropriate, dad." Chandler says and shows us Finn's naked picture that Sebastian ever used to threatened me.

"Oh no! Dont see this. Just dont." I shake my head and take that picture from his hand.

"I though you already burned it." Finn frowns at me.

"I was about to but I forgot." I said to him.

"What is that? That was cool." Joey says to us.

"No. It wasnt. This is editing. Seriously." I said to them.

"Who did that? They edit my dad's picture?" Chandler frowns.

"Bing bing, I borrow your book." Ross shouts from the stairs.

"If you cant stop calling me with that, do my homework." Chandler simply said.

"Dude, you wanna see dad's naked picture when he was in high school?" Joey grins at Ross.

"Joey!" Finn and I frown at him.

"Out of control. I'm sorry." Joey rolls his eyes.

"There was a dark story behind this picture." Finn says to them.

"Whoa what happened?" Ross join us.

"We joined glee club when we were in high school then we were about to face regionals championship then the glee club director told us that I got the solo for that championship but there was a girl who betrayed us because she was jealous with me then she told our rival about this. Then the captain of the rival threatened me to not performing at regionals or he would post this picture online." I said to them.

"Then what you did, mom?" Ross asks me.

"I move backward. I planned to not performing. Because what I was thinking wasnt about me but both of us. Our family. What if he keep post this picture and everytime you type your dad's name on the internet that picture would show up? Who will feel ashame? Not only him. But also me, our parents, and you guys. But that feud already over and that guy who I told you already burn all those copies from this photos." I said to them.

"And you got performing there?" Joey asks me.

"Yep. And we won." I grin at them.

"If we lived in Lima, I would sent you guys to William McKinley High School. Our school." Finn says to them.

"Yeah but we live in England now." Chandler simply said and turn his face back to the box and take another picture. "Wow this is must be when you won that championship right."

I turn my face and they are looking at our photo when we won nationals. Finn and I just looking at each other and smiling at each other. I lean my head on his shoulder and looking at my boys are busy with our old photos. I really miss all those people in that photos. Literally. It's been five years we didnt meet one another. Well except Kurt and Blaine since they are part of my family.
