Epilogue

BRIGHT'S POV

It's been a few months since I've reconnected with Win and it's been exactly a month since I moved in with him near the airport, we've been living together again and it hasn't been easy... We grew up a lot while we were apart and it still amazes me when I learn about new things that is part of the new him now.

Win is more collected and calm and he knows how to stand up for himself now... It amazes me to watch him get ready for work and how he looks so put together but I also get to see the side of him where he needs to be taken care of...

"Stop doing that" He said as he fixed his neck tie.

"Oh I can't stop admiring the view" I told him and smirked. 

"You see me everyday" He said and giggled.

"As I should, who wouldn't want to see you?" I asked him. 

He just shook his head and continued fixing his hair...

"Please be ready when I come back, I want to rest already." He said.

"I will, I'll start packing when you leave." I told him...

WIN'S POV

I was getting ready for work when I noticed Bright's suitcase still half packed on the floor... We have a flight to Palawan when I get back from work tonight and he often procrastinate on stuff like those which makes us late.

"I hope you don't forget anything." I smirked at him because the last time we traveled together he forgot his favorite shirt and he almost forgot his passport as well.

"In my defense, I was tired from the family event I had to attend when I was packing my stuff last time." He said and started laughing. 

"Yeah... too tired huh?" I asked and smirked knowing exactly what happened which made him tired.

"You wanna get tired before going to work?" He asked which made me look at him. 

A part of me wants to tease him but I know how that'll end up and I might not even make it to work. 

"Not today, I can't miss work, I already maxed out the leaves I'm allowed to take for all the vacations we keep on having." I told him. 

"Aww" He said like a child who wasn't given candy.

"Oh please, you're gonna be with me for literally a week. You can have all of me during those." I said slightly teasing him. 

"Oh just leave already, you're waking something up." He said and buried his head in his pillows which made me laugh.

"I don't even get a kiss goodbye?" I teased again. 

He suddenly stood up and made his way to kiss me and went back to bed.

"Fix your stuff already." I said laughing as I closed the door.

The day passed as if I was in a haze, the lost time me and Bright had over the years being apart was still making us cling to each other every minute of the day like we're running out of time for each other...

I never saw it this way, I had lost all hope and went through the darkest times of my life while I wasn't with him. I accepted defeat and actually thought that this lifetime was no longer meant for us...

I let the time pass when I remembered I had to get my anniversary gift for Bright, I had to get it customized, I collected all our photos and had to make someone turn it into a vinyl cover, each vinyl contains all his favorite songs and one recording of my random sweet nothings to him. 

I headed home as soon as I can, as I open the door I heard Bright stumble in the bedroom. 

"Win?" He asked from the bedroom. 

"Hey, I'm home." I said as I closed the door and headed for the bedroom. 

I watched him as he hurriedly closed his bags. 

"In a rush huh? I told you to do that last night." I told him. 

"Yeah I fell asleep hehe" He said and clung his arms around my neck as we kissed. 

We made out for a while and fell unto the bed but before I fall into his deep kisses, I pulled away. 

"We might miss our flight, let's go have breakfast." I told him and giggled as I saw his growing frustration. 

"Oh come on..." He whined like a kid. 

"We'll have all the time during our trip." I argued. 

"No we won't, unless we plan to stay inside the room the whole time" He said with a smirk. 

I made us both coffee as he got the waffles started up in the maker. We were silent when we sat and I looked at him staring at me while smiling. 

"What's in these?" I suspected the waffles has something behind his smile. 

"Haha nothing. I just really still can't comprehend how you're mine again." He smiled and I couldn't stop myself from feeling all the butterflies in my stomach. 

"I guess the universe has a funny way of telling us that we're bound for each other." I said with a smile. 

We finished our breakfast and hurried to not miss our flight. It's gonna be the first time we're back at the island together. 

BRIGHT'S POV

We landed after almost an hour of flying. It feels nostalgic to be with Win after a long while I spent here alone. The salty air and the sun shining perfectly on the white sand and clear waters... This is where we'd rather be. 

"I missed this." Win said as he took videos on his phone. 

We settled our things in the villa and then I found him sitting by the shore. 

"It feels good to be back here." He said. 

"I know." I said as I sat beside him and he leaned his head on my shoulder. 

"You know at some point when I was meeting other people and all I kept searching for you and I told the skies that if I won't be with you, I don't wanna be with anyone else anymore." Win said randomly.

"I never thought of being with someone else either, I'd rather be alone than to spend a lifetime trying to make someone else you." I said. 

We let the time pass as we talked about sweet nothings. When the sun has already set I stood up and got ready for dinner. 

"How did you film this? I didn't see this a while ago..." Win said looking at his phone. 

"Nothing, I just wanted to keep memories." I told him and smiled. 

He does not know that I do have a whole album of our memories, everything from the beginning and that's just one thing I have waiting for him during this trip. 

"Come on dinner, have dinner before I make you mine." I said and smirked. I saw his eyes widened as he tried to hide his smile. 

"Stop omg" He said. 

"What? It's appropriate, give 'em dinner before making 'em your dinner" I said as I  put my arm around his shoulder and dragged him out to have dinner by the shore which I also had prepared. 

"Where are we going isn't the dining hall there?" He asked when I went to another direction.

"Just follow me." I smiled. 

"You are full of surprises." He smiled and followed. 

"Wow" He said as we reached our dinner spot. It wasn't much really...

Fairy lights were guiding our path to the table with more fairy lights around it. 

"Go on have a seat. I got this all prepared." I said and smiled at him as I pulled the chair out for him. 

I can tell by the look on his face that he was happy with my surprise which also made my heart happy. Although I noticed that he became quiet as the night passed. He was still quiet when we made our way back to the villa which started to bother me. 

I let the thoughts go thinking he was just tired. We changed into our pajamas and headed to the bedroom. I saw him reading on his phone as I finish washing up. I climbed beside him and decided to ask him...

"What's bothering you?" I asked.

"What? Nothing." He said avoiding eye contact. 

"Come on..." I said and took his phone so that he'd look at me.

"I... I just thought that what if you get tired of doing these for me, what if you suddenly change your mind... What if I don't deserve all of this..." He said still avoiding eye contact as I rested my head on his lap. 

"What on earth happened that made you think that?" I asked. 

"Nothing... I guess I'm just... you know me..." He said shyly. 

"I know. But I also know that this is gonna be a lifetime and that you deserve everything you already have and everything you still going to get." I told him. I knew what was going on... He was having one of those moments when he constantly doubt himself. 

I couldn't help myself but pull him into a kiss when he smiled. Our kiss deepened and when I opened my eyes I saw it in his eyes. He wants what I want... 

The kisses became aggressive and we started to become touchy as if we were so deprived of each other. I pulled his top away from him as I pinned him on the headboard. 

The kisses were so deep as I went down kissing his jawline, his neck, down to his shoulders and I started sucking on his chest enough to make him moan as I leave a small mark. 

I kissed him going down just right above the hem of his pajamas. 

I looked up at him as he opened his eyes.. 

"Please..." He moaned with raspy voice. 

"My pleasure" I smirked. 

I pulled his pajamas off as we owned the night like it was the first time.

The next day I woke up earlier than Win... I searched the floor for my boxers and laughed as I saw our clothes all scattered around the room. I dialed the main house to bring us some breakfast. 

"Is that Bright?" I heard my grandmother at the other end of the line. 

"Hello? Bright?" She took the phone I see.

"Hellooo." I greeted happily.

"Why haven't you brought Win here over a meal?" She asked. 

"We were busy and tired... We'll see you for dinner tonight..." I said 

WIN'S POV

I woke up hearing Bright talk over the phone... I heard him say something about Breakfast. I did not get up as I'm still quite sore from last night. 

"Yeah, I got it, don't worry everything is going as planned." I heard Bright say which got me curious. What plans?

"Yeah later... We'll be back in time for dinner." He said before saying goodbye. Where are we going?

"Hey, you're awake" He greeted me and kissed me. 

"Good morning." I smiled back/ 

"I got us breakfast, they'll bring it here. Then when you're ready we can go to our island." He said and smiled. 

"Our island?" I asked with a small giggle. 

"Yes... we made so much core memories there..." He said. 

"I know..." I smiled. 

We got breakfast and started getting ready... It's a pretty chill day we're planning to spend at the island. We got our picnic basket ready with the food we'll need for the day. He said we're only staying 'til the sunset because his grandma wanted to have us over the main house for dinner.

We spent the whole day swimming and goofing around each other with the casual hugs and kisses until the sun was about to set. We sat at the edge of the cliff and watched the sunset. 

As the sun was setting and painting the skies in hues of orange and pink, Bright pulled my hand and held it...

"I wish a lifetime more of days like this..." He randomly said as he was playing with my hand. 

"I wish you a lifetime of happiness... with me. It has to be with me." He said which made us both giggle. 

"I promise to be there... always." He said looking me in the eye. 

"Even at my worst?" I asked. 

"Most especially at your worst." He said as he slipped something in my finger. It was a ring...

"What..." I looked at him in confusion...

"A promise ring, we'll take this slow and as long as we're together, we promise that we'd be there for each other, especially at our worst." He said as the tears started to roll from my eyes. 

"I promise..." I said as I hugged and kissed him.
