"this is how it's done," jimin said.

he threw the bowling ball at the perfect angle, knocking down all the pins, and getting a strike.

"you know, when i agreed to go bowling with you, i didn't think you'd literally be the best bowler i've ever seen."

"thanks," jimin said, laughing.

"how'd you get so good?"

"i don't really know... just natural born talent, i guess," jimin said, jokingly.

hoseok laughed, taking a chug of his drink and a bite of his pizza, heading up to take his final turn.

he slickly threw the ball, watching as it rolled straight into the gutter.

"well, i tried," he said, laughing.

"that's okay, hobi. you'll get me next time."

"yeah, yeah, congratulations," hoseok said, smiling at him.

they both had a super fun night, but they were definitely ready to go home and sleep.

as soon as they made it out to hoseok's car, jimin started thinking. he hadn't thought about joon - even once, the entire time they were at the bowling alley. hoseok really did a great job of taking jimin's mind off of everything that was going on and jimin loved it. it was like he was in a whole other world and nothing else mattered, except for the two of them.

jimin eventually drifted off in the car, still smiling as he fell asleep.

they had made it home and hobi was carefully carrying jimin to his spare bedroom. he laid him down and noticed that jimin was wearing a pair of tight skinny jeans. he didn't want to be creepy, but he also didn't want jimin to be uncomfortable all night. he thought it over and decided to just quickly pull them off. he started at the buttons, then watched as his fingers slid down the zipper. he moved to the waist band, struggling to pull them over jimin's thick thighs. hobi wasn't planning on imagining anything inappropriate, but he couldn't help it. he wished he was able to do that sort of thing to jimin in a different way. a boyfriend way. a loving way. he wished so badly that jimin would let him, but he knew it would never happen. so without a second thought, he pulled his pants all the way down, not stopping to take a peek at his body, because he knew he wouldn't be able to look away. he yanked the covers over jimin and sighed. leaning down, he left a kiss on the top jimin's forehead and smiled at him.

he went to leave, but he just couldn't. he didn't have the heart to leave the beautiful, sleeping, angel all by himself. so, without thinking it over, he walked back in and laid down next to jimin. he didn't want to cross a line, so he made sure not to get too close or to touch him. he sat there for a moment, listening to both of their breaths, until he felt pressure on his chest. he looked down and saw jimin curled up on him, clinging to his torso. he heard jimin faintly whisper something.

"t-thanks hobi. for everything. i really had fun tonight~"

"me too, chim. no problem."

the next couple days went by in a blast. jimin was having the time of his life, although, in the back of his head, he knew he was worried about the namjoon situation. he had gotten dozens of voicemails and texts from him, not bothering to read or listen to any of them.

it was late that night and both hoseok and jimin were curled up on the couch, watching a disney movie. jimin was drinking red wine, finding that he enjoyed it a lot more than beer. hoseok, on the other hand, was drinking some sort of rum.

"you like that better? it's fine if you don't, alcohol isn't for everyone."

"no - no, i- i like it," jimin said, smirking.

he lifted up the glass and started pouring the last bit of wine into his mouth, never touching his lips to the glass.

"well, okay," hoseok said, laughing, "you want some more?"

"yes please," jimin said, excitedly.
