The Massacre at Hawkins Lab, Part 3
20:26, 17 September 20223rd Person's POV
Once Robin noticed the boys trailing behind, and out of earshot she quickly spit out what she had been dying to this entire time, "Did the two of you fuck?"
Nancy and Valerie were stumped, looking back and forth between the two of them, and trying to figure out who Robin was referring to.
"You." Robin jabbed a finger into Valerie's chest, "I'm talking to you."
"I'm sorry... what?" She was baffled, to say the least.
"Did you?"
"Did I fuck who?"
"Eddie." Nancy stated it, like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"You too?... you think that I-" Valerie looked between Nancy and Robin, "what makes you think that?!"
"Quiet." Robin whisper-yelled.
"It's like you want them to hear you." Nancy nodded.
"Based on what did you guys reach this conclusion exactly?" She huffed.
"I don't know, you always have this tension between you, you know? It's so nauseating, like ugh. Just rip your clothes off and get over it already. But not in front of us. Don't... do that in front of us."
Valerie opened her mouth in protest but Nancy cut her off, "He's been obsessed with you since we were kids, you used to complain all the time about how worked up he got you. He still does."
"What does that have to do with us fucking?" Valerie whined.
"It doesn't. It's just that you were panting when we arrived, so I just assumed..." Nancy trailed.
Valerie felt her cheeks flush, "Out in the open? By lover's lake?"
"You wouldn't be the first." Robin chuckled.
Valerie took a deep breath, "I wasn't panting because we fucked." She shot both of them a glare, "I was just... my heart was racing because he got really fucking close and I think he was about to kiss me? Maybe?-"
Nancy gasped and Robin's hands flew to her mouth.
"And you were going to let him do it?" Nancy asked.
"No!-"
"So you pushed him away?" Robin prodded.
"Well... no-"
Robin smirked at her.
"No, no, it's not what you think-"
"What is it then?" Nancy asked, amused.
"I froze okay? I haven't dated in like a year, and I've only ever kissed Josh, and-" Valerie ran a hand through her hair frustratedly.
"This is what I was talking about." Nancy muttered to Robin.
"He still gets her worked up." Robin grinned.
"I'm right here, you know?!"
"Okay, jeez." Nancy put her arms up in surrender.
"I don't like him. I don't." She said, more to herself than anything else.
"Okay." Robin said.
The silence ate at Valerie until she started rambling again, "I swear, it's only when the two of us are alone that it gets weird. You were right about that tension thing, it's disgusting. Which is why, you two cannot, at any point, leave me alone with-"
She heard footsteps getting increasingly closer and quickly shut her mouth.
"Hey, guys." Eddie said, in such a way, Valerie didn't even have to look at him to know he was smiling.
"Hey Eddie!" Robin grinned, she had to refrain herself from saying 'we were just talking about you dude.'
"If you ladies don't mind, I'd like to steal Valerie away for a minute."
"Oh, you can keep her for much more than a minute. In fact, you can keep her as long as you'd like." Robin suggests, already starting to walk away.
"No, don't you dare-"
Nancy shrugged her shoulders at Valerie, Steve joined her at her side and they both started slipping away as well.
Valerie literally started to bolt after them. There was no way in hell she was going to be left alone with him again. Her little escape attempt lasted for about two seconds, before Eddie wrapped his wraps around her waist, yet again, and pulled her against him.
"You're not going anywhere this time." He whispered.
She wasn't having any of it. She struggled in his grip and turned around to face him, cheeks red, and grit out, "Munson, if you don't let me go right this second I will obliterate you."
His smile only deepened as he pulled her closer, "Please do."
Valerie closed her eyes, tipped her head back and groaned, "I hate everybody."
"Except me right?"
"Especially you." Her eyes shot open and stared daggers into his, "You're fucking infuriating."
"You're really, really pretty."
Any other insults she was about to throw at him, caught in her throat.
"I hate you." She muttered.
"Liar." Eddie finally ran his thumb over her bottom lip. Just as soft as he remembered them to be. He couldn't help but smirk absentmindedly at the lack of conviction behind her voice.
"I-I'm sorry, you're gonna tell me that I'm lying?" She was taken aback, he certainly had some audacity.
"I actually think you don't hate me at all." He tilted his head, as if challenging her to do something about it
His voice shifted, it was deeper. It sounded like his morning voice, the same one Valerie found herself reluctantly liking.
It made everything he said sound so much more believable.
"You're delusional!" She slammed a fist against his chest.
He chuckled, "I think you like me," he cupped her hand on his chest and slowly ran his fingers over hers, "and I think that it kills you."
She scoffed, "You are so..."
"So?" He leans down, grinning.
"Full of yourself. It's- you're ridiculous. You, and your stupid face and your stupid assumptions-"
"If you insist on hating me so fucking much, prove it." Both hands go to her waist and lift her up, until she was standing on her tippy toes, lips pressed against him.
She couldn't think, she couldn't breathe. There was only him. Her heart might've exploded in her chest. Every thought, every bit of restraint she thought she had snapped all at once. She was kissing him back, she hated it. She hated him.
She was kissing him back, but she was also going to take her frustration out on him. It came in the form of her fingers, digging themselves into his chest, and his bicep.
He didn't seem to mind, in fact it spurred him on. He gently grabbed the hand that was on his chest and guided it until it was wrapped around the back of his neck.
He then pulled her flush against his chest, using his other hand to cup her cheek. He wanted her as close as possible. He's wanted this for so long.
The last five years. The last few days. Pure agony and pining.
He pulled back to look at her, he needed to look at her again. He dove back in, just as quickly as he pulled away, this time kissing her even more feverishly.
She let her hand wander into his hair, giving it a little tug.
He let out a low moan against her lips, "Val."
He was so wrong for this. Pulling her against him, claiming that she liked him, kissing her, calling her Val. It's like he took every boundary, all those times she ignored him, or pretended not to feel this thing between them, threw them back at her and said 'fuck that'. And Valerie couldn't get enough of it.
Point fucking proven Munson.
She bit down on his bottom lip. Might as well, right? She's seen him smiling countless times before, but now she felt it against her for the first time. She could get drunk on that feeling.
He was breathless and there was no way he was letting go. Who needed air, when you had the Valerie Henderson in your arms?
With a little reluctance, she did make him pull away. But he didn't fully leave, he rested his forehead against hers.
Valerie didn't open her eyes. Only because she wasn't too keen on seeing that smug smile he surely would have on his face. Also her heart was racing really fast and she was... shy, but that had nothing to do with this.
When she did open her eyes, it's like he had been waiting.
"Val, if that's you hating me," He tucked that stray strand of hair behind her ear. It was the softest she'd ever seen him smile, "please don't ever stop."
[A/N: im so tired but atleast the two of them are having fun]
