How have you been?

For the new ones reading this story, welcome! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I loved writing SAVED. While for the old readers who are still patiently waiting for this story to continue, thank you for your patience. Not everybody has that kind of devotion for stories. :)

Anyway, just by the title of this chapter and the edited title of the story, I guess it wouldn't be difficult to guess that this story will go under a MAJOR rewrite.

But why?

Well, I have three reasons.

1. This story is already four years old. As much as I want to continue where I left off, it feels...forced. just like I mentioned, years have already passed, and my writing style had drastically changed. I appreciate people who love this story,  but personally, I can't re-read it anymore due to my way of writing.

Was it bad? Was it annoying? No, it's just different. That's it.

I feel like this story will have way mor1e potential if written in my writing style now.

2. This story got plagiarized. As much as it annoys me, plagiarism won't stop me from creating what I enjoy doing. Go and copy this for all I care. At the end of the day, you weren’t the one who wrote this. You won't be the one acknowledged or appreciated because what you did was a very cheap move.

3. I am not that active in Wattpad anymore. Why? Because my platform shifted to AO3. Why again? Because the rules here in WP turned a bit complicated. Anytime, my stories might get deleted, given how I shifted from teen fanfiction to mature fanfiction.

But Yeen, what's that got anything to do with SAVED? Well, everything. As mentioned in number 1, my writing style changed. I write lemon/smut/whatever you call it nowadays. When I tried—emphasis on the word tried—rereading this, the tension, the pacing, everything felt like it wasn't what I wanted to write.

So my solution? Rewrite the whole damn thing. Why?

Because I love Ace too much, I want to continue writing this for him.

Plus, this is the very first fanfic I wrote, so the sentimental value of this book is very heavy for me.

I don't want to drop this, so yeah.

What are the changes?

1. Writing style. Descriptions, words used, and some dialogues will surely be revised, but the plot will still be the same (I remember it, don't you guys worry. Hehe)

2. Cross posting. This will be both published in wattpad and Ao3. The difference? The Wattpad version will be minor friendly for all the young fans of one piece who just want angst and fluff. Meanwhile, in AO3, I'll publish a mature/explicit version for all of those who want spice in their books.

Again, this is to avoid minors interacting with content that they shouldn't touch or mess with.

If minors try to access the Ao3 version, I won't be able to do anything. I can't and will not keep tabs of the stuff you consume on the internet. That's a parent's job, not an author's. That's your free will, but don't say I didn't warn you and tried to keep you off of there. That's all I can do. Do not kill the cat just out of curiosity, kiddos.

What will remain?

1. Irregular updates. I have a 9 to 5 job right now, so I can't promise you anything.

2. This published book. I will not remove this. I will publish a different book under the same title. I want to keep this for old times sake and for those who want to read the beta version of the story.
