~Only Cuz I'm Cold~

It was a chilly day. The windshield was pretty high and it was beginning to flurry. Yet, Muku had insisted we pick up the new volume of his favorite manga.

"Do we really have to go today Muku?" I turned around whilst un-locking the front door.

"Yes!" He's clasped his hands together. "The new volume is releasing today and I want to be one of the first ones to get a copy!" I sighed. He seemed excited so I agreed. He was too cute to turn down.

"Alright" I unlocked the door and pulled on my winter coat. I grabbed my beanie and pulled it over my ears. "Here" I snatched Muku's jacket off its hook and offered it to him. "You'll need a hat too" I searched around in the closet for his hat.

"I've got earmuffs" Muku reached up grabbing his earmuffs from the shelf. I nodded and watched as Muku slipped on his gloves. I had gloves in my coat pocket so I'd put them on later.

We stepped out the door together shivering instantly.

"Jeez! It really is cold" Muku's teeth chattered as he pulled his jacket tighter against himself. "Sorry"

"It's okay. I'm glad you asked me to go with you" I smiled. Muku blushed despite the cold. We began walking towards the manga store on Veluda Way in silence until Muku spoke up.

"(Y/N)? Do you like manga? I mean-you never talk about it so..." Muku mumbled, his breath spiraling in the chilly air.

"I read it occasionally" I shrugged. "I don't really have time since I take care of you guys all day"

"No!" Muku frantically waved his hands. "I hope we're not that disobedient!" I giggled at his reaction.

"I was kidding, you guys were a handful at first but, your not that bad anymore. I just don't have time since I'm directing you."

"Ahh" Muku shoved his hands in his pockets satisfied with my response.

"I like to read romance manga's in my free time" I pursued my lips attempting to remember the last manga I read.

"Really?" Muku looked down at me in surprise. "You should try reading the manga I'm reading! It's a romance manga and it's really good...of course, you don't have to buy your own copy you can just borrow mine!" Muku rambled excitedly. I smiled and shivered. My hands were beginning to get cold.

I reached into my pockets searching for my gloves but felt nothing but my coat fabric. I stopped in the middle of the road confused. I craned my neck to look into my coat pocket. Nothing.

"(Y/N)?" Muku stopped a couple of strides ahead of me.

"I forgot my gloves" I sighed, annoyed with myself.

"You can have mine" Muku offered. Selflessly pulling off his gloves.

"No!" I jogged over to him grabbing his hand. "I don't want your hands to be cold either."

"I don't mind" Muku smiled. His cheeks and nose were pink from the cold.

"I'm fine. We're here anyway." I gestured towards the bookstore entrance. A long line from the entrance curved around the other stores.

"Oh no..." Muku shook his head. "I don't want to make you wait in the cold with me." I wrapped my arm around his.

"I don't mind"

Muku's face went red. "A-alright...if you don't mind" I smiled up at him and poked his cheek.

"I'll just stay warm by hugging your arm." I giggled and squeezed him. He grinned, pleased with himself.

We made our way to to the back of the long line and began to wait. I shrunk into my coats collar. Hugging onto Muku was keeping me warm but my hands were freezing. I pulled away from his arm and slipped my hands into my pockets.

Luckily the line was moving quickly so we'd be inside soon. "Here" Muku held out his gloved hand. I looked up at him confused. "Hold my hand. Then we'll both have warm hands." He chewed on his lip embarrassed.

I happily grasped his hand and slid my other hand into my pocket. Only two more groups of people and we could go inside. My cheeks were freezing but Muku's kindness warmed my heart. I looked at the icy ground hiding my smile.

Muku tugged on my hand. "Let's go" He giggled excited, and pulled me forward. We entered the crowded bookstore and were hit with a wave of heat. Despite that, our hands stayed intertwined at our sides.

Muku guided me towards a table of mangas holding in his excitement but people were blocking our way to the table. Muku's face dropped.

"It's alright. Just wait for everyone to move" I squeezed his hand reassuringly. He pouted cutely and pulled away from my hand.

"Hot" he muttered pulling off his gloves. I slipped my lonely, cold hand into my coat pocket.

"Hey?" Muku tugged on the sleeve of my jacket.

"Hmm?"

"Well...I just thought..." Muku stuttered. He held out his bare hand silently. I grinned and intertwined our hands looking up into his dark blue eyes.

"Warm" I shivered and pressed the back of his hand to my cheek. Muku's eyes went wide and his face flushed in surprise. "Look" I pointed at the table which was no longer crowded.

Muku rushed forward, his excitement back in full force. He grabbed the new volume of his manga and held it to his chest. I couldn't take it anymore. He was too adorable. I tackled him in a bear hug rocking back and forth.

After that, we bought the manga and headed home holding hands. It was still snowing and was colder than before. Snowflakes were stuck to my eyelashes and hair. I was unlocking the door to the dorms when Muku stopped me.

"W-Wait, (Y/N)" Muku pulled me away from the door. I faced him confused. "Thanks for taking me to the bookstore. I know I could have waited but..."

"No problem, I had fun." I ruffled his cotton candy pink hair. Muku avoided eye contact with me and reached down to grab my hand.

He brought it up meeting eyes with me and his face lowered slowly to plant a soft kiss on the back of my hand. I blushed at the pure sight of him, covered in snow, looking up at me expectantly, with his lips on my hand.

He stood up quickly, apologizing. "Sorry! I really wanted to do it! It was in a manga..."

"I liked it" I mumbled and brushed a hair out of my face.

"Your so pretty!" Muku exclaimed laughing, and pulled me in for a hug. I smiled happily and wrapped my arms around him squeezing him tightly against me. Of course, only because I was cold...
