chapter 10
05:19, 17 June 2022Theo woke up in Boris' arms, feeling thankful that Boris had blankets over his windows so that the sun wasn't immediately blinding him. He looked up at Boris before sitting up and attempting to wake him up. Theo tried shaking him and saying his name but Boris just groaned and tried to pull Theo back down.
"Go back to sleep, Potter." Boris groaned sleepily.
Theo blushed before pulling himself back off and adding, "It's 9 AM come on!"
"Ughhh..." Boris finally agreed to get up, only because he remembered Theo probably hasn't eaten anything really.
The two of them agreed to go to a diner after Theo got a shower, having to walk ages to actually get to one.
Once they got to the diner Theo ordered a bunch of food while Boris just ordered some fries, leaving after--without paying. The two boys made their way back home and just silently cuddled in Boris' bed while a movie played. Theo finally broke the silence.
"I'm sorry I left. Really, I should've waited for you. I know I've apologized a bunch already but- I really am. I missed you a lot."
Boris hugged him tighter and looked down at him--Theo's eyes still glued to the television.
"Stop saying sorry. If anything I'm sorry. I ran away instead of going with you, and then ran away again after coming back to you. I just didn't want to cause anymore disruption to your life and Hobie's.-" And then Boris paused for a moment.
"I'm sorry for kissing you." Boris looked up to avoid contact before saying--feeling ashamed. Theo popped up and looked at him.
"What do you mean your sorry?" Theo asked.
"What do I mean I'm sorry?" Boris mocked Theo, "I probably scared you and made you so uncomfortable. I'm so sorry I shouldn't have done it."
"You didn't, Boris. You just caught me off guard." Theo looked down for a second adding, "Why did you do it?"
Boris just looked at him with wide eyes, like he expected Theo to maybe say more.
"I- I don't know. I felt bad for leaving you." Boris lied.
"You don't kiss your best friend because you feel bad for them." Theo said expectantly.
Boris just looked up at him through his eyelashes. Why did they have to talk about this? Theo just continued to look at him, waiting for Boris to explain, when Boris looked up at Theo and leaned toward his face quickly, kissing him. Theo backed up slightly at first out of confusion but then melted into Boris. They sat there like that for about 4 seconds before both backing away--both of the boys faces a deep shade of red.
"Oh." Theo breathed out--eagerly wanting to break the awkward silence of them staring at each other dopily.
