~Chapter 16~

A/N: Finally a decent ish chapter!

I can't believe how busy I've been.

Anyways, I won't ramble too much! Thanks for your comments and votes, unbelievable I got past 6000 reads yesterday. My dream is 10,000... I wonder if we'll get there (:

"Hahaha oh god Luke stop I'm gonna fall over! That's cheating, come on!" I laughed, trying to keep myself upright as Luke pulled a combination of adorable and retarded faces while we were playing a not-so-intense game of twister.

At last he stopped, his face returning to normal... or..whatever normal for Luke Hemmings is.

"Left foot.....Green." he smirked, watching as my face dropped.

This was gonna be pretty impossible. I was twisted as is, and holding my own body weight on just my arms to keep from falling over.

"Help me then, hold my foot while I move it?" I suggested.

"But that's cheating!" Luke protested, covering his face with the twister spin board.

"I'll cry."

"No no no no no don't do that, I'll help, I'll help."

Luke rushed over, lifting my foot which was on the red circle, and gently started to move It toward the green circle before my arms gave out, both of us crashing to the floor on top of the plastic twister game sheet.

He laughed, grinning and wrapping us both up. It didn't fit around us both when we lay side by side, but I rolled on top of him and it fit quite easily.

"Is this too cliché for you Lexi?" He asked, rubbing his nose against mine.

"Not yet," I smiled, breathing in his sweet smelling aftershave. He must've put more on before we got in the car; I hadn't even noticed it until I was literally millimetres away from him.

Within a second he pushed his lips against mine, kissing me hard. I didn't hesitate to react either, I was on top of Luke Hemmings, on the floor of his house, wrapped in the twister game, and we were making out. What's not to love? I kissed him back just as hard and soon his grip on the plastic sheet loosened, letting it fall away from our heated bodies.

"Cliché enough now?" Luke panted, breaking the kiss.

"Mhmm, I replied, before pressing my lips against his again.

I didn't really know why we hadn't gone further, I guess Luke was being the respectable human he was, and waiting for me to be ready. But I WAS ready... wasn't I? I'm not talking about sex here, I mean we'd only been together a short amount of time...

Oh stuff thinking about this crap Lexi.

I started to pull Luke's shirt over his head, running my cool hands over his warm body. He shivered and stopped kissing me.

"What are you doing?"

"Um, You're hot?"

Luke grinned.

"You're hotter..."

"Why am I wearing a shirt then?" I protested.

He didn't object, just busied himself by kissing my neck as I pulled his shirt all the way off. My hands had warmed and adjusted to his body temperature, and as I moved them up and down his toned chest I felt every bone, every muscle. Who knew a tank was hidden beneath those singlets he wore? Well, everyone, but still!

The doorbell rang, interrupting us.

I rolled off him, both of us standing up. As he was re-dressing himself, I walked to the front door and slowly opened it.

No one was there.

I looked around a bit, but not a soul was in sight. Only trees. I went to shut the door but a white slip of paper suddenly fell into my view, landing on the doormat in front of me.

I hesitated, before picking it up and reading the sentence that was scrawled in thick dark ink.

'Get out of the house.'

Get out of the house? What kind of prank was this?

"Get out of the house? What you want to have dirty sex with me outside in the bush of trees Lex?" Luke laughed, wrapping his arms around my waist as he read over my shoulder. I sighed. Typical boy.

"No its just a stupid note that fell from who knows where, someone's trying to scare us, c'mon, I'm hungry." I replied, moving out of his grip before he had time to hold on.

I raided the fridge, hoping Luke's parents wouldn't mind if I stole an apple or a banana. Luke followed me into the kitchen, scratching the back of his head sexily.

The phone rang, and as Luke was standing right by the phone, he answered it almost instantly.

"What..? Wait who is this? How did you get this number?" Luke's eyebrows burrowed, revealing those sexy crinkles yet again.

I grabbed the phone out of his hand, pressing my ear against the warm speaker.

"Leave the house or you and Luke Hemmings die." A low voice growled.

I slammed the phone down on the receiver. This was getting creepy.

"Luke, can we just watch TV or something please? I'm kinda creeped out." I frowned.

Before I knew it, he'd picked me up bridal style, and carried me out to the living room and over to the lounge, where he placed me down, my head lightly resting in his lap.

"Okay nap time for Lexi, sleep now.' Luke cooed.

"Sing to me? Please?"

"Mm, okay."

I smiled. I knew I'd sleep well if Luke sang to me. I watched as he started to sing, his blue eyes locked on mine.

Those blue orbs the only thing I focused on until my eyelids got heavy. It wasn't night time, nor was it sleep time, but right in that moment, it didn't matter, all I knew was the sound of his voice and the way I could feel his gaze on me as I fell into sleep, our heartbeats in time.
