Part 33

Clarke POV:

I woke up in the morning with the absence of a person next to me. I reached over and I didn't feel any one when I know I should. I opened my eyes and I didn't see the usual brunette laying next to me and frowned at her absence.

I got up, I was a little scared that she wasn't next to me but my eyes focused on a yellow sticky note on my nightstand.

I went out for a run so if I'm not there when I get back, you know where I am!-Lexa ❤️

I smiled down at the note and got out of bed. I went downstairs to see Raven holding on to Luna for support as she made small baby steps across the kitchen.

"Hey Clarkie, it's about time you got up." Raven said cheerfully. I'm glad to see her situation isn't making her feel down. "What do you mean? What time is it?" I said walking over to her. "It's 12:14 Clarke," Luna said, looking at her phone .

"WHAT?" I practically screamed. "Why didn't anyone wake me?" I said looking at the two girls in front of me. "We were under strict orders from Lexa to not wake you. She said you haven't gotten a lot of sleep and that you needed it." Raven said calmly.

"Ok well thank you actually," I said, getting a cup of water.

As I was drinking it Lexa walked in the house. She was all sweaty and in her sports bra, showing off her very, VERY toned abs. Her muscular arms and legs showed off as well and her tattoos were all visible now.

Just at the sight of her I spit out my water, choking on it as it came out my nose. I turned around to gain composure but Raven and Luna burst out laughing at me.

"Hey you're awake" she said, walking over to me. "Uh- yeah- thanks for letting me sleep," I said, barely getting the words out because my jaw was still on the floor, looking at the gorgeous girl in front of me and trying not to let my eyes wander.

"Damn Lexa, I didn't know you were so fit?" Luna said, looking at her best friend. "I didn't know you had tattoos" Raven said googly eyed, looking Lexa up and down and I felt a little uncomfortable at the situation and so did Lexa. I could see it in her face.

"Well Luna has tattoos too, you haven't seen hers?" Lexa said, pointing to Luna. It was now her turn to choke on her water.

"WHAT?" Raven said, turning to the curly haired girl next to her. "Show me." Raven demanded and Luna complied.

Luna took off her shirt, relieving the tattoos on both her arms. "How did I not see this?" Raven said, grabbing Luna's arms immediately, inspecting it.

"And look at those abs," Raven said, now examining Luna's body too. "What do you guys do?" Clarke said, looking back and forth between both shirtless girls.

"Luna used to help me fight before she abandoned me and moved away." Lexa said, faking a pouty face at her.

"Yeah well I could beat you then and I could still beat you now Lex," Luna said, teasing her. "Oh really?" Lexa said, crossing her arms. "Well I'm a little rusty but yeah" Luna said, shrugging and looking at the sweaty girl.

"Ok, you wanna bet?" Lexa said, challenging Luna. Raven and I were both watching with amusant as the girls challenged each other. Soon enough they were both walking outside and I brought Raven to watch.

"You sure you want to do this?" Lexa said, giving Luna one last chance to back out. "I'm sure," Luna said.

They began, they both threw punches but they always blocked them. Neither of them aiming for a kill shot, only for the sake of training.

It was pretty even for a while as they went back and forth before Luna said "I thought you were good at this," trying to tease her and my eyes shot open. Oh no.

I had said those words to Lexa when she was teaching me how to punch. She was being gentle with me and I still ended up on the ground.

"Oh no," I said, turning to Raven. She just looked at me confused but Lexa turned her head around and winked at me, as she saw I realized her plan.

She then threw a punch to Luna who blocked it obviously, but that's what Lexa wanted. While Luna was distracted with the upper body, Lexa swung her leg around the ground, knocking Luna off her feet and onto her back. Falling hard on the ground.

"Yeah, bad idea saying that, it never ends well" I said to Luna who was still lying on the floor, taking in deep breaths.

"Ok, ok, you win," Luna said as she was struggling to stand up. "Wait, rewind. Lexa has done this before?" Raven said, turning to me. "uh, yeah" I said nodding,

"My opposite activity thing for the project was to learn to throw a punch. Lexa taught me and long story short, I got cocky and ended up on the ground" I said, smiling at the memory.

"Well will you teach me?" Raven said with wide eyes, turning to Lexa. "Sure, but not right now, you need to work on your leg and I need to shower." Lexa said to Raven before waving us goodbye and going inside and up to the bathroom.

"Alright Rae, let's get you walking again" I said to the brunette next to me. She didn't look as enthusiastic about it though. Luna and I worked with her leg movements. We did stretches and walking exercises and she was actually improving a lot.

We took a break and went inside when Lexa came down. Her hair was wet, her skin looked so soft and her green eyes were popping and as vibrant as ever.

If I had water this time I would have choked on it again at the sight of her. My stomach was fluttering as her eyes found mine and she smiled. God, I loved her smile.

"Hey Lexa," Luna said as she walked Raven out of the room. Raven looked at me, wiggling her eyebrows as she left but I just rolled my eyes at her.

"Where are they going?" Lexa said, coming to stand next to me as she pointed at the girls who left the room. "Luna is taking Raven to lay down, we were helping her with her leg and she was doing a lot of work and is tired." I told her.

"Is she doing better?" She said, looking concerned. "She actually is, but I can see on her face that she is struggling." I said, thinking about Raven. I can see her try to hide it but it doesn't work on me.

"I know it must be tough for her but she is lucky to have you," she said, nudging my shoulder a little. "Of course she is lucky" I teased back and she laughed at my response. God, I love her laugh.

Luna POV:

I helped Raven to her room but I really only did it to leave Lexa alone with Clarke. I can't help it, they are so cute and it truly is crazy that she won't do anything, even if she has her reasons.

You can practically see the sparks fly when they look at each other, it is exhausting watching them pretend to be 'just friends.'

I set Raven down in her room. I could tell she was exhausted, not just physically but mentally too. "You didn't have to walk me in here, I could have done it myself." She said almost bitterly but I didn't say anything. I know she doesn't really like to be helped or pitied. "Oh, I know I just wanted to leave Clarke and Lexa alone." I responded with a smirk.

Her face lit up after I said that. "Did you see Clarke have a mini panic attack when she saw Lexa come down?" She said, was so excited at the pairing of her friends. "I'm pretty sure she was drooling a little." She said while laughing. God, I loved to hear her laugh.

"I just can't figure out why they won't do anything about it, I mean they clearly like each other so what is stopping them?" She said, trying to think as she rubbed her head.

Of course I knew why but I couldn't exactly say anything without giving more of a reason. "I don't know, maybe they are just scared." I said.

"What do you mean?" She said, looking at me confused. "Well, once they tell each other how they feel and cross that line, they become vulnerable to each other. Nobody likes being vulnerable. Right now, they are safe where they are and they are scared to lose that security." I said. I was looking deeply into Raven's eyes and I had to remind myself that I was in fact, talking about Clarke and Lexa.

"Uh- yeah that makes sense" Raven said, clearing her throat which brought me out of my stare as I looked away from her.

Lexa POV:

"Hey," Clarke said with a smile on her face as if she realized something. "What?" I asked with the same energy.

"You were able to show your stomach to them without them asking questions." She said and proudly. "I did, didn't I?" I said smiling back, think of it. "Yeah, you did," She said with a smile. God, I love her beautiful smile.

I was smiling back at her but I couldn't shake the feeling that something was going to happen. Maybe it was because it had been years since my skin was clear of cuts and bruises from my dad and now I'm free. It won't last long and I don't know how I know but I just know.
