Mabel's P.o.v

Minutes More

"Dipdot, I messes up badly!" I cried loudly. Dipper patted my back and sat by me. I had to say goodbye to Tyler and thank him for his stay. Bill messes up. More than I think really. But maybe that's why he's adorable at times.

"Mabel it's messed up. Not messes." Ford explained thoroughly. I sigh and slump.

"Mabel...Ford is right. It's messed up! *wink*" Dipper whispered. I tilt my head.

"What are you-"

"Maybe you should consider what you did that messed you up and fix it. You got this! Hey, Ford?" He turned, as Grunkle Ford grabbed something to eat.

"Can you show me your latest invention?" Dipper asked. Ford thought for a moment.

"Yes of course, but I'm not Cipher duty. Speaking of Cipher.." He set his stuff and gruffly walked to the Vending machine to imput the code. I panick and run over, but Dipper got there first.

"WAIT...I..I'll..d do..it." Dipper pointed out.

"I mean Ford, I can do this. Just one night..Besides, Mabel has something to do." He called softly with a smile. I sincerely smile, and say in silence,'Thank you.' Before running upstairs with a unsteady quirk in my stomach.

Bill's P.o.v

Why did I think it was so easy? I stare up at the endless sky, all the stars glistening through the cosmos. I laugh lightly, looking down. Everything is just a speck in the universe. Like me. Did I really think I could get a happily ever after? The villian doesn't get the girl. It's never happened. The wood brushed my skin in such a delicate way, I swear I felt pain too. This feeling. It's was so foreign, yet so familiar. 'Relax Cipher. Think here.'

This feeling, it progressed so fast. Although, it's so new. I felt it the moment I laid my eyes on her.

My skin is crawling. My head is reeling. My face is flushing. What is this feeling? Scary as a flame..does it have a name? This is a joke. Feeling in a way that makes no sense at all.

"Bill." Shooting Star said behind me, her words cut deep.

I narrow my eye, not making a single glance at her. I pull up my knees and put my arms around myself. She slowly sits down next to me, looking away, then back to me. I ignored her, then she put her hand on my shoulder, which made me tense up.

"I'm sorry."

"Why? You've got nothing to be sorry for." I say softly. She smiled, then mimicked my glance at the stars.

"I should be sorry, Bill. I didn't mean to yell. I should be listening." Her eyes welled up in tears, crossing her arms.

"You think this is real? It just wasn't ment to go this far." I sneer sadly, sighing. I regret it all.

"I know."

You shouldn't protect me."

"I know."

Everything is silent. The soft breeze brushed through me, feeling completely and utterly numb. Her arms brushed her hands, trying to hundle herself in a embrace. There was nothing to really say.

"I shouldn't be feeling this way. I should just be feeling nothing at all. I'm slipping and I can't ever slip up. It's not in my nature! Something is wrong with me and I can't-" I rant, getting stressed by the minute.

"Hey, it's okay..Imperfections are perfect as it is." She stated with a slight smile.

"No? There literally not. It's in the name. There imperfections, therefore making them flaws." I say carefully, pulling my hair in frustration.

"Listen to me! Imperfections are perfect!" She exclaimed, looking to the side on me.

"There's something that needs to be corrected. Perfection is perfection and anything less than that is something that has to be worked on." I mumbled loudly, getting pretty ticked off. Her pity is just making it worse.

There was a brief pause. She moved her hand to my cheek, turning my head for my eye to meet hers. My eye shook. She smiled sadly.

"Your imperfections are perfect. They make you unique. They make you..*chuckles* well you. I like you as you." She whispered.

I couldn't breathe. I felt so alive. Before I can contain it, A dark blush covers my face. I turn quickly, looking away and touching my cheeks in embarrassment, yet fascination.

"Are you blushing?.." She asked, which made me think frantically for a answer.

"What, no." I murmur, calming down and facing her with barely a sign of the blushing mess I became.

"Did I get the most powerful, sadistic, hard-core dream demon to blush??" She taunted, punching my shoulder. I laugh half-heartedly.

"No, it's the cold...Very cold out." I called, rubbing my hands together to signify warmth.

"Huh, it's the cold. And not that I told you,'I blush every time you give a goofy grin and that laugh makes me feel like I'm the most important girl in the world?" She joked. My stomach feels twisted as my face goes red. She tilted her head and smiled.

"N..No." I state, getting up and walked away quickly, before everything else falls apart.

"BILL! W...wait!" She yelled, running to me. I stop and sigh.

"Thank you...for listening to me..I think. I'm sorry again. I promise we will get you out of this." She looked down and smiled sadly.

"Then, you'll go home I guess. Party like your life depends on it. Be with your own kind." She replied happily, while turning back. I stare and sadly smile back. Somehow, I didn't want to leave..but all I can muster is-

"Yeah, and you'll be happy again with yours. We can be enemies again."

Everything is silent. She got up slowly, walking up to me. I put my hand on her shoulder before she can continue with her way to make me so helpless.

"Don't ever think for one second that you believe that's the life I wanted. Or have." I sneer, letting go. She looked down.

"Okay. Know this. I will Decipher you someday, you know?" She joked, earning a slight laugh from me.

"Haha. Very funny, you mortal."

"Seriously I will. Just, don't go anywhere yet."

That was the last words I heard her say before she took a interest of leaving every single day to who knows where.

I, fortunately got to go float around the Mystery Shack for a hour or so just before generously getting thrown in by Sixer. But, I realized even without spending a bit of time with this girl, she looked worse every single day. She would disappear and come here late. For the week, she looked, not like the Shooting Star I know, but just drained.

One day, she brang here the exact reason why she was this way. I turn around as the door swung open, Shooting Star behind Kill who had a smile on his face. Pinetree went and greeted him.

"Hey, Tyler! How's it been?" Pinetree asked.

"Just great! Right Mabel?" Kill turned to her as she nodded ever so slowly. She yawned loudly, slouching over. I narrow my eye, but he smiled.

"Mabel?" Pinetree asked anxiously. He ran and grabbed her before she fell asleep on the floor. Kill sighed.

"We were partying the day before. No worries. She stayed at my place and of course, here you go." Kill handed Pinetree a 50 dollar bill and tapped it twice in his hand.

"Keep the change. Mabel dear! Let's go! Now!" Kill yelled. Shooting Star finally awoke and slowly followed him.

"What?! Mabel, whats going on?!" Pinetree mustered. She turned and waved lightly, yawning again. She trudged behind ever so slowly with Kill.

"Tyler! She doesn't want to go with a pathetic excuse of a demon like you!" I yelled, grabbing her hand and pulling her back. She blushed softly. Pinetree looked back at Tyler.

"Figuratively, I'm not a demon! She just wants to spend time with me! Let her go!" He yelled back, grabbing her other hand. Shooting Star pulled away from me and panted.

"Bill! Stop it okay?! A few days without me should really be a blessing to you! Why do you want to hang out with me today?" She exclaimed sadly. I huff and storm off without a word.

5 more days. I couldn't stop thinking about her. Or any of it. She made me so ticked off I can't think properly. I panick. 'What were they doing?! Why does she have to leave so much?! Did he hurt her?!'

The 6th day. I decided to ask Pinetree as to her whereabouts.

"I don't know, Bill. Why do you want to know?" He asked. I push him aside, and open up something called a Pitcola? Anyways, I slurp it violently then crush the entire thing, throwing it at Pinetree. He yelped before the Pitacola slammed unto the wall harshly.

"Seriously?! What is up with you?! You've been acting just..just you! You weren't acting like that before!" Pinetree sighed and looked at me plainly.

"Nothing is wrong." I state, gritting teeth, keeping my hand on the edge of the table.

"There's something wrong. How long has this been going on?! A week? 6 days?" Pinetree crossed his arms for a reply.

"Something is wrong. And I'M going to get to the bottom of it." I state darkly, opening and slamming the door to the direction Shooting Star always went.

Time to find out the truth.
