5|What This Looks Like
02:48, 21 January 2023Mabel's P.o.v
We all went upstairs, as I sat just on the edge of my pink bed along with my pillow I hugged desperately. Dipper sat on his bed, putting his hands on his chin.
"So...You're saying I almost died.." I whisper, choked up.
They both nod and I understood. There was one thing I wanted to make certain.
"Who..saved me?" I question. They go absolutely quiet. Something is wrong.
"That annoying germ." Stan murmured. He seemed pretty sure of himself.
Dipper walked and sat next to me, so did Stan, making the bed slump a bit. Dipper nudged me lightly.
"It doesn't matter. I'm just glad you're safe." Dipper pointed out. I smile big, then look down, a frown appearing.
"I'm so sorry, Dipper. I should've listened to you and I messed up and.." I start to tear up. He smiled and looked down.
"Hey, It is not your fault. I shouldn't have yelled at you like that. I should have gave you space and I promise I will, but please...be safe this time." Dipper said urgently.
I giggle and nod happily. He hugs me one more time.
Of course, I hugged back and did our signature 'Awkward Sibling Hug.'
"Well, If you got this settled then I suppose you can raise me a few bucks. You owe me for almost dying on me. You scared my customers!" Stan exclaimed jokingly.
We look at each other and set to do just that.
Once we got down the stairs, I was super surprised to see Bill completely red with a dark blue collar around his neck area. (More like on the middle of a triangle below his eye-)
Ford held the end of the collar, tugged it hard. The dream demon stumbled to the side. Ford gave a threatened look, but Bill wasn't moved by it at all.
Just the plain I don't care or a emotionless face. I glance his way, but looked away immediately, huffing and crossing his arms like Dipdot over here. Stan narrowed his eyes.
"Okay here's the plan. Cipher here- will be staying around here, but we will be safe since the cuffs destain his power and the collar to keep him here. This will keep him...well stable." Ford explained thoroughly to us.
Dipper nods slowly. Stan groans."Slow down here Poindexter. He better not intimidate customers. He can't be seen at all-" Stan Interjected, but Ford assures it'll all be fine.
Then, Dipper joins in. They all talked at once, as they just ignored everything else. I snapped out of it when Bill narrows his eye at the metal cuffs on his wrists.
Once he concentrated, sparks flew off the dark blue collar, but nothing happened.
After a while, he looked away and the sparks stopped. A plain look on his face.
Until, he sees me. There was this curiousity in his eye, and after i while i felt myself staring for too long.
I look away quickly, a blush of embarrassment on my cheeks. I didn't want to stare, but my worst enemy is in our own house! I hopped in a chair and sat with my eyes down.
We both held a huge amount of regret. That's for sure. Not a word was spoken, just deep staring from Bill. I felt him giving a grin, even if he didn't have a mouth.
I didn't look up, but when I did, he looked away from me! I picked at my nails. Nervousness isn't usual, but it happens when something completely wack is up. It could be scared, terrified, love..'PFFFF Like that'll happen! I'm just very, very scared. I am, really.'
Once they were done with their discussion, Ford pulled on Bill's so called 'collar', and they both went up the stairs. Stan opened the Mystery Shack doors, and a few customers lined up, looking past the items with awe.
Dipper and I went around talking to customers, and recommending the items around. Dipper led some to the attractions in the Shack. My personal favorite was the Cornicorn! It's a corn shaped like a unicorn!
"Cat shirt....Dog shirt.." Toby Determined examined.
He held up each shirt higher to decide, but just put it back down when he switched. As I was giving out bumper stickers, I spot this and try to forcefully get to him, but it was no use. Everyone was bursting with these questions, money thrown into the air. I assure everyone I would help them with the stuff, but since Dipper was busy with the tour, as well as Stan, I panicked.
"Maybe this isn't worth my time..." Toby murmured, placing them both back. I gasp and raise my hand at him, but he couldn't see. I am going to lose a paying customer and Stan will be so mad at me!
Especially when that those shirts are tons of money. I push away, but no effect. Once I nudge through quickly, I pant.
"WAIT!...wait..huh?" I stopped and see a blond boy talking to Tody Determined.
For sure, I haven't seen this guy before. I guess Gravity Falls have changed since last summer. But, no one comes here anyways, since how unknown it was.
I had to take a closer look...
His hair was a very bright blonde unlike anything I've seen. That seemed weird already. His tightly done yellow and white suit had a bow tie under his neck. A completely brick like pattern on the bottom on the suit. His long sleeved black shirt under and matching black pants.
He walked over, his black shiny shoes making a satisfing click each time. He stopped and his gloved hands tapped Toby Determined lightly, his tail coat swooshing to the side with him. He was super tall, so Toby looked up slightly. I watched in awe. He looked so serious.
"Both species of animal are indeed a waste of time to fight over. But, dogs are the most loyal and would do your bidding, so I suggest that. Trust me." He explained sarcastically, shoving Toby the dog one.
Toby smiled and continued on his way, going to the counter to buy the dog shirt.
No one has ever convinced Toby Determined that fast. Usually, he counters or doesn't pick at all until we close. But, this guy found somewhat of a loophole. Maybe he is a fellow worker Stan hired? Better yet, maybe I'll say hello! It would be rude not to! Besides, any boy here is a friend of mine. Seriously, I would be friends with ANY boy. I'm desperate.
I hum and spin my way to him. His back was turned, so he didn't see me and I didn't see his face when I was sneaking to him.
I crouched low, but not too low to scare. Just a quiet tap.
"Shooting Star if you're going to be weird by this, I would personally recommend you don't try to scare me. I can make your life a living nightmare." He stated. I stopped eruptly with wide eyes.
"B-BILL?!?!" I stammered, backing away, but I trip over a little box of items. I stumbled like a first time girl in a ice rink. It was embarrassing. I closed my eyes for full impact, but none came.
Slowly I open my eyes.
Bill's now human eye stared back at me. He held my waist and hunched me close. My feet lifted off the ground slightly, like he was carrying me. I held on for dear life. I seemed to have grabbed his shoulder tightly with my other hand on the side. My hands trembled in fear and shock.
He was looking down at me with a big wide grin. He had these bright yellow eyes that I swear glowed like a midnight star. When he smiled, his eyes squint like a half moon. His left eye had a black triangle eye patch, which made him even more mysterious. It was like the perfect person appeared all of a sudden. I open my mouth, but no words came. My heart jumped for a second.
"...Is that you, Bill?..." I whisper, scared to even know. My body trembled, trying to not collapse. It was like time froze. All my attention was on him, and nothing else. He looked to the side, then back at me with struggle.
"This isn't what this looks like." He says. His voice wasn't like the echoey version I've known, but a soft soothing tone. Still Bill's, but more humane. From behind me, the closed door knob was moving. Bill's eye froze, and frowned at me.
Before I knew it, he dropped me, my back hitting the floor with a gruesome thud. The objects I hit clattered on the floor. I groan loudly.
"OUCH-" I start, then Ford walks out, a tiny remote in his hand. He narrowed his eyes to the side. I look in that direction.
Bill was back in his little triangle form with the same little black arms crossed over his body. Ford turned to me, as I rubbed my back, recoiling.
"Mabel, what happened? Because I swear if Cipher touched you-" he starts, grabbing Bill's black bow tie.
"I will personally kill him myself-" Ford ends. Bill chuckled, quite amused. That lasts sentence made me stop. Ford can't kill him. No matter how evil or wrong they are, he can't! It was too much. Ford always experiments, never torcher! Nonetheless, KILL! He wouldn't. He must be bluffing..
But, Bill almost killed my family and friends! Then again, he didn't kill us. Ford and Bill stare at me. I bit my lip and make a decision. I can't predict what Ford or Bill would do.
"I..I was stacking the selves and..um I backed up and tripped." 'For the greater good.' I keep telling myself. Besides, maybe Bill didn't mean to drop me? Or maybe he had to, so he could keep this bad-boy act. Honestly, it's kind of cute-
'WAIT- No..NO...EWW bleh! Gosh no! Get yourself together, Mabel!'
Bill scoffs and floats out of the room. I gape and huff. 'I helped him and he floated away?!' Ford gives me a look. I gulp and smile lightly. Good thing he didn't know because he went back into the lab. I should have said something.Dipper was still conducting the cash register with only 3 more people in the Mystery Shack. I was already picking up the items I dropped.
Well, Bill did by throwing my body on the ground. What was up with that? One moment it was like a romantic movie, and the next it was a action film! I couldn't get those eyes out of my head. It was... mesmerizing. The feeling on my hand on his shoulder as I felt the soft fabric. I wanted to feel it again for some weird reason.
Let me tell you something! Why is it that the villians are always the good looking ones?! Like how?! I stop my thoughts. 'What? Good looking?! No, NO ewww he isn't even the definition of that! I'd rather die-'
I nod to make my point. Snickering was heard from behind me.
'Wait..'
"Shooting Star, you really think so?" He questioned, but he looked amused at me. He seriously read my mind? My face felt warm.
"U-Um..." I couldn't answer his question though. I don't even know really! 'Wait, yes I do?' Before I can say anything, he floated out the room with his arms crossed. I gape, not knowing what to say but watch.
"Wait I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to make you upset! Wait please!" I called, running up and almost falling again. My heart felt a sharp pain. I wince and continued up. I pant hard. He sat by the tinted yellow window, putting hands behind his back. I tried to sound quiet, but my left foot hits a creaked wood space.
He perked and turned to me in irritation.
"I'm sorry! I don't want anyone mad at me if I did something to them! Was it that I didn't answer or?-"
"Haha, I was joking with you, kid! So serious aren't you? You're such a gullible human!"
I pout and look away, pulling my hair back. I sigh and walk over slowly. I stand where he was floating. He didn't laugh. He just kept his hand on the window with a dead cold stare.
"Well, you okay?" I asked. Why would I care for a demon's feelings? I wouldn't know, but I wanted to know to help. It is what I do. He didn't move, but looked at me by moving his face to me. It was creepy.
"Mind your own business." He said coldly.
Now I regret asking, but I want to try. I'm not giving up on Bill. It's not in my vocabulary. Surely, I back off for now, then a question stuck in my head. I couldn't help saying it.
"Why did you change when people came?" He was silent. He floated away from the window, and stared at the ground. I repeat.
"Why?" I ask again.
"I didn't." He murmured, still looking concentrated at the floor.
"What does that mean?" I questioned, and grab his arm.
My hands trembled. My grip lightened. He stopped and growled darkly. I let go quickly.
"Nothing. That was a accident." He sneered darkly. It didn't seemed like a accident to me, but I kept quiet.
"In was an accident to help me?"
"..."
Who knows what he would do. He would have a list of torcher ways to hurt me if he could. There has to be a way to make him talk. Then, Dipper and Ford can include me in things! It's a perfect plan!
I watch him float to the ground and knock on the wood. I tilt my head.
"What are you doing?" He knocks and a hollow sound came from within. He glowed happily.
"This." He starts joyfully, using both his hands to pry it open.
The latch fell off, leaving a deep dark room down below. I gasp and smile big, leaning over. My foot got caught and I plummeted into the room, down the stairs. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.
Yep, my face fell on all 6 stairs. It HURT. Definitely a bruise tomorrow. My face was on fire.
Insane laughing was heard above. He floating down in a 'show off' way.
He didn't help me at all as he passed, but he called happily,"Why don't you fall all the time like that? That's hilarious!"
I ignored his comment and got up, coughing. It hurt too. I never liked his sadistic humor. Then again, he is a demon. The room we were in was decent size, like a attic of sorts. There was tons of old chests and papers in a stack. It was spooky. Bill progressed forward, picking up some papers and reading them. The papers magically floating around his as he read each one carefully. We're we even supposed to be here? Did Ford know about this? I was panicked, but more intrigued.
The first thing that caught my eye was this chest onto another chest. The smaller one had a some sort of vibe to it. It's red and light brown, the black patterns on the front. A giant "C" on the front.
I opened it slowly. Dust came out. I coughed and swatted it away quickly. All I saw was a little letter. The white old ones with a red inked circle to close it. The words in front were like this:
To:Bill CipherFrom:*Stain covered*
I touched the stain in curiosity. Who is this from? Bill then floated behind me from a distance. I rubbed the letter and narrowed my eye. I quickly stuff the letter into my pockets without him seeing. I'll read it later. Just under the letter was a beautiful picture frame. It had a birch outline around it. Of course, it was very old and ancient from the dirt. Especially from the glass. It seemed to be dirty on the entire thing, making it so I couldn't see the picture inside. I felt the real birch across my fingers. In the corner was a letter "C" too.
I just know that if Bill sees, he will snatch it. I turn around and he groans in dissatisfaction. He crosses his arms.
"We're done here." He called sternly.
I try to counter, but he snapped and teleported us back to the bedroom with the wood placed back in the spot.
"If you tell a living soul what happened here, or where this is, I will kill you. Do you understand?" He starts.
There was no use arguing with this dorito chip. I nodded slowly. 'I'll be back secret room.' I put both my hands behind my back, gripping the frame tightly. He narrowed his eye as he got closer. I gulp and smile lightly.
'Hewillknowhewillknowomgomgom-'
Ford burst into the bedroom just in time, along with Dipper, and Stan. They were extremely worried. Dipper ran and pulled me back, holding me close. Stan did the same. I breathe a sigh of relief.
"You know what happens when you misbehave.." Ford said to Bill. Bill turned to Ford and laughed.
"I'm not your slave nor your pet. I will NEVER cower to you level! Or either of you disgusting Pines!" He screamed loudly.
Ford pushed the remotes button. His blue collar glowed and Bill shook violently. He fell to the floor, as Ford dragged him by the leg. Dipper shushed me, but I hold back what Ford did. He almost killed him.
He hurt someone that didn't hurt us at all. Bill did nothing to stop it. Ford did it with no mercy.
And that isn't allowed when I'm here.
But, one things sure, he definitely shouldn't be doing that in front of me.
