For the purpose of the story, Katniss and Peeta won the games alongside Clove and Cato but a rebellion never happened
The 3rd Quarter Quell was not the same one as the books\movies
I am not the best writer in the world, so don't expect this to be amazing

PROLOGUE
A small black haired girl walked across the stage holding a small, gray box with gold decorations swirling around the outside. The girl, only just about to turn eight, had a smile, not a full one, but a pleasure filled one, creeping along her face. She stopped in front of a man with a puffy white beard sitting upon a velvet colored chair. The man had cold gray eyes and an unnerving smile. He had to be at the very least, 100 years old and seemed to have eternal life. He graciously took the box from the little girl's hands and whispered a thank you. She smiled and scurried off the stage. The man placed the box on the table before diving into a speech.
"Hello everyone and welcome to the reading of the fourth Quarter Quell card!" Cheers erupted from the large crowd dressed in ridiculous outfits. "As you know, every twenty five years, we insert a different adaptation into the games. For the 25th anniversary, as a reminder that they were responsible for the Hunger Games, each District had to vote on a male and a female tribute to send into the games. For the 50th anniversary, as a reminder that two rebels died for each Capitol citizen, the Districts had to send double the amount of tributes into the games. Last Quarter Quell, the 75th anniversary, as a reminder that the rebels created their own weapons designed to kill, the tributes were only able to use the things around them to kill," the man stated. The crowd murmured in remembrance at the last Quarter Quell rule change. "And now, for the reading of the 100th anniversary adaptation."Β
The man snapped open the small box and rifled through the cards before finally pulling out one that read the number four on it. He grasped the edges of the milk colored card and slid the paper inside out. The man smiled as he read through the card in his head. "For the 100th anniversary, as a reminder that a lot of our celebrities were murdered in the rebellion, the tributes will be Reaped from the pool of victor descendants." The crowd gasped and went into an excited conversation, most likely about which victors had kids. The man silenced them by standing up with the now closed box and walking off the stage. While everyone in the Capitol was celebrating, the children of past victors felt their lives had just exploded.
CHAPTER ONE ~ ATHENA
I smirk at Crew's expression as he watches my knife find a perfect target in the end of his spear, splitting it into two pieces. I hold out my small hand in expectancy and he reluctantly fishes twenty dollars out of his pocket.
"I told you," I sneered. He rolls his eyes but a small smile creeps across his pale face.
"One of these days, I will beat you in a bet," he declares.
"Sure Crew. Keep dreaming." We are interrupted by Hyacinth and my mom calling us all to the middle of the training center. The small group, consisting of victor descendants, crowds around the two women. Hyacinth Summers won the 84th Hunger Games, just ten years after my parents won theirs. She had a bubbly personality and acted like a complete airhead all until that buzzer went off. Then she was a killing machine.Β
