Part 5

04:52, 13 September 2020

His hand wrapped around my neck, the burning sensation getting stronger and more painful by the second. I watched as the blue flames consumed my father, the pain in his eyes mimicked the pain I felt coursing through my body.

The flames surrounded me as my father fell to the ground, the darkness around me consuming him. "DAD!" I screamed as the pain worsened and the hot tears on my face fell faster down my cheeks.

I was thrown across the darkness as the blue flames blurred into blue spots and the man in front of me disappeared, but his voice still lingered in my brain, "I'll see you again, Akari."

I jolted awake, the covers wet from the sweat and tears, my turtleneck was still on me so I must have fallen asleep when I was crying in front of Aizawa. I climbed off the bed and changed into something cooler and I walked into the kitchen, grabbing a glass of water.

I looked at the clock on the stove to find it was 5 in the morning, so I might as well get ready for school. I entered my dark bedroom and I spotted a shimmering light reflecting off of something, I walked towards the small light and found it was coming from the dagger. A dagger that was previously owned by my dad but Aizawa gave it to me after...

I picked up the dagger and threw it at the door, the blade of the dagger piercing the middle of it.

I walked to my seat and slumped into the chair as I listened to the muttering and whispering of my classmates. I clutched my neck, the image of my father and blue flames danced through my mind, the same sentence repeating itself over and over again; I'll see you again, Akari. A shiver went down my spine, the way he said my name over and over.

Aizawa entered the classroom and he started to talk about something and then there was a loud crash and a large blonde male stepped into the room, the shock was over all of the students'' faces, Midoriya was fanboying over the man named All Might.

We are going to do a Battle Trail and we get to use our hero suits and everything, my hero suit is pretty simple, black cargo pants and black boots, a mesh top with a black sports bra underneath, a crimson red mask and blades strapped to my thighs, in my boots and my mother's katana strapped to my back.

We were all given a briefcase containing our hero suits and we were told to put them on before the trial. I tied my hair back into a ponytail, placing a thick black choker to cover the scar on my neck. I strapped the last blade to my thigh as I entered the spectating room for the trail. I could feel a few eyes on my daggers and katana.

We were all paired off into groups of four, it was me and Bakugou vs. Midoriya and Ochako. I and Bakugou were the villains, yay. We were the first set to go so me and Bakugou were sent off to get ready for the 'heroes'.

"I'm going after Deku, so stay outta my way!" Bakugou shouted, I rolled my eyes and stopped in front of him, glaring. "Just don't kill him." I started as we entered the building. "The rockets on the top floor, so I'll keep watch of it while you take care of Deku." I said bluntly, the shock was all over his face, I tilted my head. "What?" I asked, "You can talk." He said in surprise, I rolled my eyes and ran up the steps leading towards the rocket as the buzzer for the exercise rang, signifying it began.

I was waiting by the rocket when I saw a flash of pink hide behind a pillar, I could see Ochako's hand gripping the side of the pillar. I grabbed the throwing knife from my thigh and it sliced right past her hand, she hissed as the blood dripped to the floor. "You cut me!" she screamed as I crept towards the pillar where she hid.

I peered around the corner and saw the fresh crimson blood fall from her hand, I leaped towards her and grabbed her arm, my hand caressing hers. The blood was hot on my fingers as I rubbed my index and thumb together, activating my quirk.

Ochako fell limp as she lost all control of her body, "W-what just happened?" she asked frantically, obviously trying to move.

I used my quirk so she could stand and walked her over to the rocket, only a minute left. "Is this what your quirk can do?" she continued to ask questions that I wouldn't answer, until I got fed up and made her shut up, forcing her mouth to close.

Soon enough Midoriya and Bakugou came bursting into the room, Midoriya stopped in the middle of the room as Bakugou began to scream and threaten, there was blood running down his face.

"You're not going anywhere Deku, I'll blow this place to bits," he said, aiming his hand towards the ceiling. I knew exactly what he was going to do, so without question I jumped up and slid past him, taking some of his blood with me. I activated my quirk, the sensation of my mind connecting with his blood was quick. Bakugou slumped to the floor and I fell to my knees as I realized I was still controlling Ochako.

I've only ever controlled two people at once when I was little and I tried to prank my dad and Aizawa. I ended up fainting because it was too much for my little body.

"WHAT THE HELL?! WHY CAN'T I MOVE!??" Bakugou screamed, trying to move. "What h-happened?" Midoriya questioned, as the buzzer sounded and I deactivated my quirk. Ochako and Bakugou immediately jumped up and checked their bodies like there was dirt on them or something.

I quickly got up from my knees and walked towards where my knife had landed when I threw it at Ochako, Bakugou was yelling, questioning how he was rendered paralyzed, such an idiot. I wiped Ochako and Bakugous blood on my pants as I left the room, Midoriya and everyone following behind.

"Ito-san? That's your name right?" Midoriya muttered, I nodded as we exited the building. "Um was that you who did that to Ochako and Kacchon?" he asked, a little bit of worry in his voice. I nodded and he stopped to catch up with Ochako as I sped up my pace towards the spectator's area.

We all entered the room and everyone was in shock, I don't know why maybe because I stopped Bakugou from killing us but how would they know that was me?

"What happened back there? Ochako and Bakugou just went still and wouldn't move." Kirishima blurted, jumping in front of me. "It was her, she did it! What the hell Mutey why the hell would you do that!??!" I could barely hear Bakugou as he screamed in my face.

I think I did too much by using my quirk on two people, especially on a day like this, my stamina is too low to be doing this much. "Shit," I mumbled as I felt my knees buckle, I collided with the ground, my eyes rolling to the back of my head as everything went black.

~~~~
His voice kept repeating over and over.
"Shut up, shut up! Shut up you bastard, you killed him!! YOU KILLED HIM!!"
I jolted up from the bed I was previously lying in, my body drenched in sweat, the thick choker clinging to my scar. I looked to see I was in a hospital room, how did I get here? Did I pass out from controlling just two people? pathetic.
My thoughts were interrupted by the door to my room opening, Aizawa stepped in, the rest of the class 1-A following close behind. "Akari, are you alright? You passed out right after the trail, how much stamina did you use?" the class was berating me with questions, my head was spinning, the image of my father, lying on the ground, dead.
"Everyone shut up!" Aizawa shouted, the room went silent, my head stopped spinning and my mind was clear, empty. "Let's let Akari get some rest ok." Aizawa turned to leave, pushing everyone with him.
"Aizawa, I'm leaving too. I can't stay here, even though it's just the school infirmary." I stated, shoving past some of my classmates as Aizawa nodded. I walked faster than I normally would, but I was trying to escape the conversation.
~~~~

The couch was cold but comfy as I flopped onto it, turning on the news. The news reporter was just talking about dumb politics until she said; "it has only been 3 years since we lost the previous number 11 Pro Hero, Red Blade. But it feels like just yesterday he was murdered by an unknown..." I felt my tears fall down my rosy, freckled cheeks. Stupid emotions.
