Chapter 62

Perrie's POV

I kept stuffing myself, trying to focus on the dull taste of the food instead of the savoury taste of the soft lips that belongs to the  beautiful brunette who was sitting next to me. If I took one more glance at those lips, I would have lost all my self-control and pounded on her and have another make-out session, which would be totally inappropriate as we were all having dinner.

I thought it was the perfect idea to use the mistletoe to distract her from looking for her phone and finding out what we have been up to (and also get myself lots and lots kisses)..but the only thing I forgot to put into consideration was how addicted I would be when her lips kept kissing me over and over again which now it is like air to me...although ironically air is the reason why our lips had to break apart. How I wish I can feel those lips on mine right now. Every second our lips apart is a torture to me.

I knew she is distracted too. I could feel her incremental eagerness and enthusiasm the more we kiss, she caught me off guard a few times when I didn't even need the mistletoe to do the magic and her lips were already on mine, her small hands firmly cupping my cheeks to make sure our lips remained connected as long as we could. Gosh I have to stop thinking about her lips.

There is also another thing that occupying my mind right now. The Proposal. Every single one of the kisses we shared today, I was tempted to get down on my one knee and poured all my heart in the most important speech in my life that could possibly make her my fiancé, but held back the urge as I reminded myself I have to stick to the plan. I don't remember which kiss it was but there was one time I let the words slipped out of my mouth. 

Marry me Jade. 

I breathed out against her lips before our lips separated. My eyes widened when she opened her eyes staring at me with those captivating brown eyes, not knowing if she heard me or not. Luckily she didn't hear the exact words so I said "Merry Christmas Jade' and she seems to believe me that's what I have just said. Luckily, I don't have to bite my tongue any longer as the time will come very soon once we finished the dinner.

"Is everybody finished?"

My dad asked, his eyes scanned across the dining room and everybody gave him a nod as  a response. His eyes landed on me at last, I bit my lip and gave him a nod to let him know I am ready. He gave me an encouraging and reassuring smile which calmed me a little bit, and it's not only him, everybody in the room are sending me a warm smile to show their support as they clearly knew it's about time.

"Everybody heads to the living room it's present time!"

My nerve is getting worse when everybody started unwrapping their presents. My present for Jade will be last because of my surprise, so Jade was drawn to be the last one to open her presents on purpose, she was not happy about it as she was dying to see what she had got. I just hope she will love my present.

"Perrie you are next!"

My mom grinned and handed me all my presents. I nodded and started unwrapping the presents with my shaky hands, excited to find out what I have got but at the same time feeling anxious to know Jade is the only one left in the room yet to open hers. I got some Disney and Olaf stuffs, clothes and accessory, and some dog clothes and toys which I immediately whined at Jonnie as strictly those should be counted as Hatchi's presents not mine.

And then there was one present left, wrapped so nicely and almost too perfect in the blue sparkling paper, which I intentionally left for last as it was from my Jadey. I giggled and brushed my thumb at the big red heart that was drew on the paper, carefully unwrapping the paper not wanting to ruin it. I took a glance at Jade and she was fiddling her fingers, anxiously waiting for my reaction. She shouldn't be nervous at all as I don't really care what she gave me, I love it as long as it's from her.

"Aw penguin!" I squealed when I saw a penguin costume once I opened the box. I pulled it out and it was really soft and warm, I took a look inside the box and there was another one inside the box.

"These are for the dip babe and tomorrow we can be Mumble and Gloria"

"Oh my god Jade I can't believe you actually remember that" I gasped in shock.

"Of course I do. I remember every word you said babe" She smiled bashfully.

One day we were watching 'Happy Feet', and when it came to their adorable dancing scene, I told her they resembled us because Mumble has blue eyes and Gloria has brown eyes. I said it so unintentionally, more like a joke, so I didn't think she would take it seriously but she took my words to heart and even bought us a matching costume.

"Aw I love you baba" I exclaimed and engulfed her into a hug, chuckling like a kid when I imagined us dressed up as penguins and ran into the sea, I will have to keep my eyes on Miss Clumsy so she won't fall over.

"I love you too and I can't wait to see you in it. You will look so cute" 

"Nah you will be cuter" I pecked her nose once we pulled away.

"Aw you two will be the cutest penguins tomorrow" Norma cooed

"Jade you should get your mam one too. There is one called Norma in the movie" Debbie chortled

"Oh yes! But that's Mumble's mom not Gloria's"

"It doesn't matter Jade. Perrie is gon-"

"Jonnie!" I cut him off before he could say anything that could possibly expose my upcoming surprise

"Baby? What's wrong?" She asked concernedly and rubbed my arm gently

"Nothing babe. I just knew he is gonna say something stupid!"

"When is he not?" Caitlin shouted, causing an eruption of laughter in the room

"Hey that's not true!"

"Jonnie. My son. I am sorry but Caitlin is right" My dad shook his head

"DAD! Mom tell them they are wrong!"

"Jonnie you know I can't lie..."

Jonnie gasped and started to fake cry, I was literally crying right now it was so hilarious. That's the Edwards family everyone.

"Thank you for the costume baba. I love it" I grinned at her once I gathered myself

"I am glad you love it baby, but they are not the real presents" She smiled and pointed at the box.

I gave her a confused look and picked the other penguin costume out of the box, gasped as I saw a set of personalized couple sweater. One with 'Her Jadey' on it and one with 'Her Pez' on it and both have an arrow pointing to the other one.

"Oh my god they are so cute!" 

"You can't get any more possessive than that Jade" Karl laughed, making Jade's cheeks turned into crimson.

"You know I am just as possessive as you are princess, maybe a little bit more even. That's why I think they are the best gift ever! Everyone knows they need to back off!"

I shrieked and pecked her cheek, which made her blushed even more and caused a sheepish smile appeared on her face. I beamed and took the sweaters out to have a better look, only to be surprised by another set of matching hoodies underneath them, one with Jerrie and 09 on and the other one with Thirlwards 21 on.

"0921...The day we first met at the park" I whispered as my eyes locked with the four numbers

"That day you saved me and gave me hope again when I was at my lowest point. That day you gained the access to the deepest part of my heart and made me realize how good it felt to be completely honest and stopped pretending that I wasn't hurt. That day you showed me there is actually someone that would care about me and protect me when I didn't think there would be any. I would never forget that day ever again... because it's the day I met you Perrie. The day I met the love of my life who would change my miserable life to the best, and who would make a broken little girl to the happiest woman in the world"

"Jade..." I am speechless. I don't know what to respond to her unexpected heartfelt speech so I just pulled her into a hug, clutching her body like my life depends on it, and buried my face into the crook of her neck as tears started falling down on my face.

"Don't cry baby. They are just clothes" Jade joked and softly rubbing my back. I shook my head frantically to disagree

"They are not just clothes to me. They mean so much more than that." I rubbed my eyes to clear my vision and gazed at the words on the hoodies. '0921' symbolizes our beginning, where 'Jerrie Thirlwards' represents our future, and possibly the name of our first kid. These hoodies basically have our lives printed all over it.

"Because you mean so much to me Perrie. So so much"

"You mean the world to me Jade. My love. My everything." I sniffed and kissed her neck

"I love you Perrie"

"And I love you so fucking much too"

I pulled away only to smash my lips on her, kissing her with every ounce of me. All my passion, all my craving, all my love, for her...while she made sure I received just the same from her. Every tug of the hair, every brush of the noses, every touch of the lips...it all mean something. Everything. We pulled away once breathing became difficult, both panting hard and desperate to get some air into our lungs, with our foreheads still touching.

"Wow" She breathed out, her warm dazzling brown eyes gazed at me fondly

"Wow indeed. I could kiss you all day" I cupped her flushed cheeks, trailing the shape of her soft plump lips with my thumb

"You already done it Perrie" Caitlin groaned

"Not enough" I muttered and quickly pecked Jade's lips again

"And never will be" And again

"Mmm Hmm" Jade hummed and leaned in to give me a proper kiss

"Gosh can you two just leave each other for one second!"

"Yes and that second has passed" I mumbled against her lips

"You know I didn't literally mean that!"

"Then the answer is no" Jade was giggling but my lips were still attached to her

"Gosh that's too much for me and it hadn't been a day yet!" I finally parted our lips when I heard Karl's voice

"Let me remind you you asked for it Karl. You said you wanted more and I made your wish come true" I smirked

"Be careful of what you wished for! Especially on Christmas!" He yelled in despair and we all cackling at how dramatic he was. I hope my wish will be granted on Christmas too.

"Now it's your turn babe"

I smiled and pecked her lips, passing her the all the presents, except mine because I don't really have one in hand. Well I do have a pair of rings in my pocket but it's not the right time to give it to her yet. I reached for the small box in my pocket and fiddled it with my slightly sweaty hand. I could feel the knot in my stomach when I thought of my upcoming proposal, but it's more caused by my excitement than nerve right now, cause I cannot wait to tell her how much she means to me too, and hopefully will end up by putting a ring on her finger.

"Finally!"

I chuckled as she let out a long frustrated sigh and started unwrapping her presents enthusiastically. I zoned out completely as my mind could only focus on one thing right now. The proposal. I don't really have a exact speech in mind because I don't want to look like I am reciting it when I do it because it won't look genuine at all, and to be honest my poor memory probably won't remember half of it, but I do know what I want to tell her, that marry her is my dream and I want to do it before anything unexpected happens and take the opportunity away from me. I was in deep thought until a small hand grabbed my shoulder and shaking me out of it.

"Where is my present?" She pouted

One big surprise is coming up for you baby

A/N: Yeah. The next chapter will be what you have been waiting for and it's more than 5000 words, which will still be a long ass chapter even I have put 2000 words in this chapter. I break it into two parts because not only there are too many words, but I want to focus on Jade's present for Perrie in this chapter, otherwise it might be overshadowed by Perrie's and I don't want that.

It's not I don't want to give you what you want I swear even though I know I am always teasing you guys:D
