Chapter 25 - Vows

: Emma's POV :

"Emma, please go first." Archie faces me, correction, everyone faces me. Waiting for me to vow to the man in front of me. I have spent a lot of time, staring into my mirror, reciting over and over about what I am to say. It has taken so long for me to put my heart into words. So long. Couples at weddings usually go on about how the first time they saw their partner, they knew they'd be together. 

But, the thing is, that's not what happened. Not at all.

"Killian Jones. When we first met, I threatened you with a knife." People broke out in laughter, a single happy tear rolled down Killian's harsh, stubbled jawline. 

Good, keep going Emma.

"I had walls. They kept out every emotion that normal people would hold so dear. Love was so rare in my life. So when someone like you would come along, I would block them out in anyway humanly possible. But then, somehow, you came at me with a hammer and broke down my walls. Until they were merely dust lying on the ground.

You never once abandoned me. 

You never once mistrusted me.

And most of all, you never once stopped fighting for what we have now.

Your kindness, honour and unforgettable smirks bring joy to me daily. I want to bring up our child together, always together.

I love you, and will always love you, with all my heart. " I finish, my eyes no longer glistening but letting tears flow freely. I wasn't the only one crying from my words. Killian stood in front of me, a smile caressing his face and salty droplets falling to the ground.

Archie finished the silence by announcing the start of the next vows. 

"Killian, please read out your vows."

: Killian's POV :

I am speechless from Emma's words. All this time, I knew she loved me, she tells me everyday, but what she just told me.... it made me feel like we were alone. It made me feel as though no one stood behind us. It made me feel like everything was whole.

However, now it was my turn.

"Emma Swan. I have lived for 300 years, and every single day of my life, I was reminded about how miserable I was. I was so consumed with anger and vengeance, that a large hole started to grow inside of me. It was completely empty. I tried to fill it, but nothing seemed to make me happy. Until I met you.

At first I thought you were just a pretty face, but oh was I wrong. You were a strong, powerful yet beautiful woman who didn't let anyone tell her what to do. And I fell for this woman... I fell hard.

I fell for your kindness.

I fell for your smile.

And I fell for your strength.

So I correct myself. I take back that every day of my life was misery and I take back that their is a hole inside of me. Because that misery and loss has disappeared completely, all because of you. I love you, and I will love our child, and I will follow both of you till the end of the earth." I blocked out everything around me and simply stared deeply into Emma's eyes. Emeralds shone back at me, filled with love.

: Writer's POV :

"Thank-you. Now, please may we have the rings?" Some rustling could be heard amongst everyone until Roland stood up from his seat on the second row and came up to the so soon to be weds. He carried a red, silk cushion which held two beautiful wedding rings.

He stood in front of Emma and Killian, holding out their rings. They took them and thanked him silently before he went and sat back in his seat. 

"So, Emma Swan, do you take Killian Jones to be your beloved husband?" Without parting eyes with Killian, she nods her head and manages to say,

"I do." She carefully extends her left hand, allowing Killian to slip on her ring.

"Killian Jones, do you take Emma Swan to be your beloved wife?" 

"I do." He says, smirking. Emma takes his right hand (since his left is in a glass jar somewhere in Gold's shop) and slips on his ring, brightly smiling up to him.

"Then I now pronounce you, Husband and Wife. You may now kiss the bride!" Archie beams, stepping back as to not get in the couples way. Everyone is clapping whilst Emma and Killian lean in and press their lips against each others. 

They finally break apart, breathless but happy. People continue to clap, Emma and Killian turn to everyone with their arms linked. Emma flicks her wrist slightly and golden bursts of light flash up into the air, "Oooh's" and "Ahhh's" echo across the field as fireworks are set off in the sky.

However, heads turn when a sudden cloud of red smoke swirls around on the walkway. Slowly, it disappears, leaving a man standing before everyone.

He had dark, black hair that whipped around in the wind left by the cloud.

You could just about see his bright, sea blue eyes.

And a unmistakable smirk lingered on his face.

"Long time no see, Killian." The figure boomed.
