I step into the elevator, my heart pounding as she follows close behind. The doors close, leaving us alone in the small space.

I turn to face her, breath catching as I pin her against the wall with my body. My hands grip her hips possessively as I lean in, my lips hovering just inches from hers. "I've been waiting for this moment for a while" I murmur.

She lets out a soft whimper, arching against me as my mouth crashes against hers in a heated kiss. Our tongues dance together feverishly, exploring and tasting. One of my hands slides up to tangle in her hair, pulling her closer as I deepen the kiss.

The elevator begins to descend, the numbers on the display blinking downwards, but neither of us care. All that matters is the electrifying connection between our bodies, the intensity of the desire that courses through us.

When the doors open on the ground floor, we pull apart breathlessly, exchanging a final heated glance before stepping out.

"Only two things left on the list" I say with a grin as I walk out of the building, hand in hand with Y/n. She looks up at me, her cheeks flushed, and I can't help but chuckle at how adorable she looks when she's flustered.

"Stop laughing at me" she murmurs, nudging me playfully.

"I'm not laughing at you," I tease. "I'm laughing because you're cute."

Before she can argue, the moment is cut short as we step outside and come face-to-face with someone I was hoping to avoid for the rest of my life—Soyoon.

Her eyes widen in surprise. "Jungkook... I figured I'd find you here, but... Y/n, right? What are you doing here?"

Y/n instantly lets go of my hand, shifting uncomfortably under Soyoon's gaze. I don't blame her. The tension is suffocating.

I exhale sharply. "That's none of your business, Soyoon. If you need something from me, schedule a meeting with my lawyer or my secretary."

She scoffs, folding her arms. "Kookie, you can't be serious about this divorce. The media won't leave you alone, and let's not forget about your business partners—"

"Soyoon," I cut her off, my voice firm. "I don't care about the media, and I don't care about the partners. I'm a grown man; I can handle it without you. Thank you."

Y/n stands there quietly, watching the exchange, clearly uncomfortable. I can feel her hesitance, the way she wants to disappear from this conversation altogether. Soyoon notices it too, her gaze flickering between the two of us before settling on me with a smirk.

"Chh. You're not telling me you're actually with her now, are you?" She tilts her head, mockingly. "Are you dating her, or is she just keeping you entertained at night?"

My patience snaps. "Soyoon, that's enough. Whether I'm with someone or not, I don't owe you an explanation. Let's just finalize this divorce and be done with it. Send Namjoon your demands, and we'll settle this."

I turn, reaching for Y/n's hand again, but before I can touch her, Soyoon grips my wrist, stopping me.

"Kookie, you can't leave me..." Her voice drops, and then, she says the words that send my mind into chaos.

"I'm pregnant."

I freeze, staring at her. A bitter laugh escapes me before I can stop it. "Are you serious? You're really sinking this low? Making things up now?"

Y/n gasps beside me, and when I turn to her, I see the hurt in her eyes. Tears well up, her lips trembling as she whispers, "I think I should go."

"Y/n, wait—"

But she doesn't. She turns on her heel and runs, disappearing into the night before I can stop her.

I stand there, my jaw clenched, hands balled into fists. Then, slowly, I turn back to Soyoon, rage bubbling in my chest.

"You better prove it," I say coldly. "Because if you're lying, this is the last time you'll ever manipulate me."
