2 - The night

17:00, 16 February 2025

I never truly believed this would happen. Not until last night, when Soyoon casually mentioned over dinner that the girl she found on a dating app would be arriving today. Until then, it had been nothing more than an absurd idea—one of those desperate attempts to fix something that had already been falling apart for too long.

But now? Now, it's real.

Soyoon looks stunning. She's wearing a silky, revealing nightgown, her dark hair perfectly styled, her lips painted a deep shade of red. She's excited, prepared. Meanwhile, I've just stepped out of the shower, thrown on a clean pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt. I should probably care more about my appearance, but the whole situation feels... off.

Every man's fantasy is to be with two women at once. Yet all I can think about is: Where do I look? Who do I focus on? What if I can't give both of them enough attention? And the worst thought of all—What if I'm not even attracted to this girl?

Then, the doorbell rings, cutting off my thoughts.

Soyoon lets out a small squeal of excitement before rushing to the door. I stay back for a moment, running a hand through my damp hair, trying to shake off the weird feeling in my gut. I hear the sound of heels clicking against the floor, followed by Soyoon's overly sweet laughter.

I step out of the bedroom, and then I see her.

My breath catches.

She's stunning.

Long, silky hair cascades down her back, framing a delicate, angelic face. Her eyes—big, expressive, framed by long lashes—hold an innocence that seems almost out of place in a situation like this. She's dressed in something elegant but not overly revealing, her entire presence exuding a quiet confidence mixed with something else... hesitation.

Soyoon beams. "Jungkook, meet Y/n."

Y/n. Beautiful name. Fitting.

"Hi," I say, my voice lower than I intend.

She nods slightly. "Hi."

I step closer, offering my hand. "Jungkook."

She shakes it briefly, her touch light. "I figured."

A small smirk tugs at my lips, but I suppress it. Instead, I glance at Soyoon, who is already pouring whiskey into three glasses.

"No small talk," Soyoon reminds us with a grin. "We agreed on that."

Y/n nods. "Good."

I arch a brow. "Not even a little?"

She hesitates for a second before shaking her head. "I'd rather not."

Fair enough. I reach for the whiskey, taking a slow sip.

Soyoon watches Y/n with an amused expression. "So, have you ever done this before?"

Y/n's fingers tighten slightly around her glass before she shakes her head. "No. First time."

Soyoon hums, swirling her drink. "Nervous?"

"A little," Y/n admits, before lifting her gaze, eyes suddenly firm. "But this is also the last time. Especially with you two."

Soyoon lets out a soft chuckle, but I just stare at Y/n, a strange feeling settling in my chest.

"Not into repeats?" I ask.

"No." Her answer is immediate. "After tonight, I move on. We all do."

I should feel relieved. That was the whole point, right? A night of fun, no strings attached. But something about her finality makes my chest feel... tight.

Soyoon seems unfazed. She leans forward, pouring another drink before putting on music, swaying slightly as the beat fills the room. The alcohol helps ease the tension a little. Y/n relaxes, but only slightly. Her fingers still tremble faintly around her glass.

Then, Soyoon reappears with three small pills in her palm.

"This will make the night even better," she says, her voice teasing as she holds them out.

Y/n and I exchange glances. Neither of us reaches for one.

Soyoon sighs dramatically before popping a pill into her mouth. "Fine," she mutters, rolling her eyes. "Then I'll just enjoy every single touch for both of you."

Then she stands, extending her hand toward Y/n.

"Come," she murmurs, her voice like silk.

Y/n hesitates. Just for a second. Then, slowly, she places her hand in Soyoon's. Together, they turn toward the bedroom.

Just as they reach the doorway, Soyoon glances over her shoulder at me, eyes dark with amusement.

"Well?" she teases, her lips curving into a smirk. "Are you coming? Or should we start without you?"
