Pink and Blue

"It's nice getting above it all, huh?" Vi questioned, her hands on her hips looking out into the skyline of Piltover. The sky was cloudless, shining a bright blue into the eyes of five children. As far as skylines go Piltover was impressive with tall white and gold buildings, a stark contrast to the secrets it had going on down below.

An airship flew overhead causing the children's hair to blow through the wind. A girl with strawberry blond hair, Ebony, coughed her hair out of her mouth.

Together the five watched as the airship passed overhead, "One day I'm gonna ride in one of those things!" A little girl with blue hair and grey-blue eyes, Powder, said enthusiastically hands clutched to her chest.

"And one day, I'm gonna shoot one of them down." A taller boy remarked pointing finger guns at the far away airship. Powder glared at him from the corner of her eye.

Ebony's little legs kicked Mylo in the shin, "Ow, what was that for!?" He muttered under his breath. Both pink-haired girls shot him a look.

Vi, the leader of the group, and the other girl with pink hair, began walking forward confidently along the rooftops. A bigger guy, walking behind Powder and Ebony (who happened to be small enough to fit side-by-side), began sputtering "V-vi are you sure about this- look if we get caught-?"

"-We're not gonna get caught we'll be in and out before anyone notices." She interrupted, self-assured.

The group approached a gap above an alleyway. Vi strode up to the gap before sliding down the side of a sloped roof. Jumping across the roof onto a balcony she used her momentum to leap across the gap between the two buildings.

Ebony rubbed her hands together right before she backed up. Taking a running start, she didn't take the path Vi did, no. She jumped across the alley altogether without using the gutter or even the balcony. She landed on her feet with a huff.

Vi chuckled, flicking the little girl across the forehead before making a motion for the others to follow either of their leads.

Mylo was next, the brunette opting for Vi's path, and so did claggor. There was only Powder left. Her powder-blue eyes stared into the open alleyway, her hands stuck to her sides and sweat sticking to her face.

"This is all you two," Mylo said, gesturing toward both Ebony and Vi.

"Powder look at me!" Vi shouted, successfully capturing her sister's attention. "What did we tell you?" She tried egging her sister on.

Still, Powder stood there. Standing up fully, Ebony cupped her mouth to make her voice louder, "Powder! Just run and jump, no fancy tricks, trust me, you're not going to fall, we've got you!" This seemed to work as Powder backed up, just as Ebony did, and jumped straight across the alleyway.

Landing on her feet near the ledge, the blue-haired girl began to tilt backward right as both her hands were caught. Her left by Vi and her right by Ebony. Giving the girl a reassuring thumbs up, Ebony grabbed her hand and began walking to their tip again.

Making it further into Piltover the group successfully made it onto a fancy-looking balcony. The accents were gold with wide-framed windows and luxurious white walls. Ebony whistled as she swung herself onto the balcony, afterward grabbing Powder's hand and helping her down.

Mylo swung himself down next and headed straight for the balcony door. He scoffed, "Who locks their balcony?"

"Smart people." Ebony retorted causing Mylo to scoff again. He pulled a locksmith mechanic out of his pocket and began working very slowly on unlocking the balcony door.

"You gonna get that door open anytime soon?" Vi asked, gazing down at the hoard of enforcers below.

"I'm working on it but since I'm the only one here who knows how to pick locks-"

The door clicked open. The group turned their attention to Ebony who happened to be putting a pin back in her hair, "What, I've been practicing?" She shrugged.

The group made quick work of rummaging through the penthouse. Powder and Ebony stumbled in on a surprise. Two sandwiches layed perfectly on a desk, an open invitation.

"Split it?" Ebony asked picking up one of the sandwiches.

"Split it." Powder nodded.

After taking a good chunk out of her half of the sandwich Ebony began wandering around the apartment slowly making her way back to the others, leaving Powder to uncover whatever was in the bedroom.

Walking through the hallway to the main room Ebony heard footsteps approaching the door, "Vi, someone's coming." She whisper shouted, alerting the majority of the group. Swiftly a chair was put under the doorknob.

"Hello? Is someone in there, hello?" A voice boomed from behind the closed door.

Ebony looked at the group rushing to get their things together and some last-minute loot. "Hello..." she trailed off, making her voice as middle-aged as she could, "Can I help you? This is my home, I'm afraid you're intruding on my lovely abode." Adding a seductive ring to the end of her voice she laughed when the man sputtered.

"Uhh- what- wait."

"Ebony let's go!" Vi whispered, already on the balcony.

She gave her a look that said 'I'm coming' and said her goodbyes to the man behind the door. Slipping back into her voice she said, "Well, goodbye, dear." and booked it out of the room just in time for it to explode.

Lightning bolts of blue cascaded down the walls cracking everything in it's path. Then bricks of stone began tumbling off the building right before the whole half of it fell apart.

"Shit," Vi muttered under her breath right before hurriedly dropping to the ground level. Rapidly all the children jumped down in succession before ultimately bolting for the bridge.

Enforcers upon enforcers rushed to the scene chasing the children. They all ran as quick as their legs could take them. Contraptions and gadgets were being thrown their way. Horns blew all around them.

Reaching the bridge they all sped up realizing it was beginning to close.

Digging into her jacket's pocket Ebony pulled out three colored balloons quickly tossing them behind her. They exploded into puffs of blue and pink causing the enforcers to lose their sight and run in random directions through the smoke.

Smirking the girl continued to run all the way back to the Lanes.
