Chapter 7

Perrie's POV

I still hadn't decided what I was going to cook for Alex yet. Pasta? Lasagne? Roast? Ugh, his favourite food was pasta but I felt like that was maybe a bit simple. I decided on lasagne as it's basically pasta but a bit more interesting. I made the bolognese mixture and left it to cook in the slow cooker whilst I made the white sauce. When that was done I started to layer it up and put a load of cheese on top. I really hope he likes it. Then I decided to make some chocolate puddings as they're my favourite. I melted the chocolate and then whisked up all the eggs and sugar. I put the mixture in the moulds and left them in the fridge.

I got in the shower, washed my hair and then dried it before straightening it and putting it in a high ponytail. I put on a black crop top and some high waisted jeans. After I did my makeup, I only did it natural because I didn't want to look too glammed up. I think I looked okay. The only problem is that Alex will be able to see my scar. I put a jacket over the top so he couldn't see it, it was a little chilly anyway. 6:45, he'll be here in around 15 minutes so I put the lasagne in the oven but left the chocolate puddings in the fridge. I set the table so it looked all nice for him.

Alex's POV

I had just left my house to go to Perrie's, I was going to be exactly on time because there was going to be some traffic.

I pulled up to Perrie's and knocked on the door. She opened it almost immediately and I was attacked by a barking dog. He was cute. "Oh sorry that's Hatchi, he gets excited when he sees visitors" said Perrie. Hatchi started to lick my face and I laughed. I eventually was able to greet Perrie with a hug and a kiss on her cheek, she smiled. She looked amazing even in something as simple as a jacket and jeans. I don't know how she managed it.

We talked for half an hour about how our days had gone, what work was like. She asked me when I'd be back from injury. Unfortunately the truth is I don't know, as soon as I can. Then the oven beeped, signalling that dinner was ready. Perrie served it to me and it looked and smelt amazing.

I finished the dinner in literally 2 minutes. It was delicious! Lasagne was one of my favourites, my sister always makes it for me but this rivalled it. Perrie looked at me with a surprised face as if nobody had ever really appreciated her cooking before. "Was it okay?" she questioned "delicious" I replied, she smiled and finished eating hers. She finished her dinner and then served pudding which also tasted incredible. Was there anything this girl couldn't do?

Perrie's POV

After dinner me and Alex went into the lounge to watch Netflix but didn't really watch much, we mainly just talked. He spoke about his frustration with his injury, about how he was having the best season of his life, about to play in a champions league final when everything fell apart. He opened up to me so much, it seemed only fair to open up to him. I ended up breaking down in front of him as I told him everything about how the label wouldn't let us do what we wanted with the new album. He just hugged me and held me tight, listened to me as I poured my heart out to him. Why did I feel so comfortable around this boy?

Alex's POV

Perrie literally broke down in front of me, I could see that she needed to tell someone and she seemed like a massive weight had been taken off of her shoulders. It was nice to have someone to talk to in this way, I'd only ever had Maddie before and she was great but Perrie was Perrie. I looked at the time, it was 1:30 am. I'd been here for 6 and a half hours! I apologised to Perrie and told her I'd be on my way but she insisted I took the spare room as she didn't want me to drive home in the dark and rain. I was about to tell her it was okay but she was already on her way, making up the bed for me. I was so thankful for her and she wasn't even my girlfriend yet. Girlfriend? Yeah I was going to ask her next date.

Perrie's POV

After making up the guest room for Alex I climbed into bed. I heard thunder and watched the lightning out of the window. I hated storms, they scared me. I quietly walked along the hall to the guest room and saw Alex. He had worry painted onto his face. "Can I join you, I'm scared of thunder and lightning?" I asked sheepishly. He smiled and told me I could before telling me I was safe with him. He wrapped his arm around me and for the first time in years I felt complete.
