Chapter Five

Tweek: Craid, I dont wann a= go to spanifdh, wijl you ditch wuht me? (Craig, I don't wanna go to Spanish, will you ditch with me?)
Craig smiled as he looked down at his phone. Of course he would ditch with Tweek, he didn't care for biology class.
Craig: Of course. Meet me at your locker.
Tweek: I;m atnmy locketr alreadt, where are yoi? (I'm at my locker already, where are you?)
Craig: Bathroom. Be there in a sec.
He put his phone away before reading Tweek's response and left the restroom. He carelessly walked down the hallway to find Tweek and smiled wider as he approached. Craig was known around the town as the stoic, "edgy" teenager who was never satisfied and kept everything to himself. And this was true, for the most part. But when it came to his friends and especially Tweek, he couldn't help but smile. The people he was closest to were the people he showed the most personality around; something others couldn't seem to understand. "Pretty unlike you to ditch, Tweek. What's up?"
"I dunno, I just really didn't feel like going to Spanish. We never learn anything anyways." Tweek grabbed his hand and smiled back. "What should we do?" He pondered aloud as they got closer to the exit doors.
Craig squeezed his hand. "Let's go to the pond. We haven't been in a while."
Tweek nodded in agreement. The two had only gone about a few meters before they heard the sound of footsteps coming from the hallway they had just exited.
Craig glanced around. "Stay quiet," He whispered.
"Gah!"
"Shit."
Tweek slapped a hand over his mouth in hopes of keeping his anxiety-induced vocal tics to a minimum. But unfortunately, it was too late; the person in the hallway had already heard and was coming their way.
"Hey, who's there? This is class time, you should be in class," An ambivalence voice called.
Craig and Tweek exchange nervous glances, stopping in their tracks. They both turn slowly to be met with the questioning gaze of an unspecified staff member, one that neither boy recognized.
"What are you two doing outside of class?" The Teacher Lady asked, eyeing the two's intertwined fingers.
Craig stayed silent. He looked at Tweek, hoping he'd come up with some excuse, but the blond boy just stood there shaking. "Um," Craig started. "We were... getting something from... locker?" Yeah, he had never really been a great liar.
Teacher Lady rolled her eyes at the couple. "Please," She scoffed and put her hands to her hips. "Out of all the excuses I've heard, that one was the least convincing. You two are probably on your way to have sexual intercourse in the men's room or something."
Tweek started to laugh at the words "sexual intercourse" and choked on dust, spiraling him into a coughing fit. Craig began patting him hard on the back and gave Teacher Lady a sheepish half-smile. "We weren't about to fuck in the bathrooms, ma'am," He clarified.
"Get to class." And with that, Teacher Lady walked off, leaving Tweek coughing and Craig patting his back and standing there awkwardly.
A few minutes passed; Tweek was still coughing away and neither of them had said a word. Craig looked down at him, he was beginning to be concerned. "Um, are you okay?" He asked. "Do you like, want some water or something?"
"I... am fuck... ing... dy-ing..." Tweek choked out in between coughs. "Tell... my par... ents... I... I love them..."
"Uh-huh... Hey, I'm gonna get you some water from the drinking fountain over there," Craig signaled across the hall. "Hold on a sec." He left Tweek and went over to the water fountain. He grabbed one of the paper cups and snuck a peek behind him, back at Tweek, who was continuing to "die". Once he filled the cup he walked back to Tweek and handed it to him. It was then that he realized Tweek could not drink whilst coughing. Oh yeah, he thought and set the cup on the floor.
"Don't put it on the floor!" Tweek exclaimed. His coughing was beginning to die down so he could worry about germs better. "That is so -ahem!- unsanitary, man! Do you know what kinda parasites could -gah!- get in there? Oh, Jesus, pick it up!"
Craig bent down and picked the cup back up. "Okay, okay, here." He handed the cup back to Tweek, who managed to take a sip without choking.
"Gh, thanks," He muttered. "I wonder how many classrooms could hear me dying out here."
"Heh, yeah." Craig looked around, checking for any bystanders. "Hey, how stupid is that teacher lady? I mean, she literally just left us here. We can literally just... leave."
Tweek started giggling, without choking this time. "That's true, we can. So, the pond?"
Craig grinned. "The pond it is."

"Clyde, Sabes dónde está Tweek?"
Clyde rolled his eyes at his Spanish teacher. "I have no idea."
The teacher sighed. "Does anyone else know where Tweek is?" Met with silence, the teacher continued his lesson.
Clyde rested his head in his palm and his arm on his desk and stared out the window. He watched the random people walking on the sidewalk. Happy couples holding hands, one person blond and one wearing blue... Oh, there's Tweek. He almost pointed them out to the teacher and shouted, "Hey! There's your absent student, he's ditching your shitty class to hang out with his boyfriend!" But he did not. He thought about it, but did not. He had much more self-control than that.
The entire class Clyde wished that something even remotely interesting would happen, but no such luck. It was just as boring as ever.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
The bell rang after one long hour and he was finally able to leave. After Spanish, he had a study hall with Jimmy and Token. Although it was technically a study hall, the boys treated it like a free period, seeing as the "teacher" wasn't strict in the slightest and everyone could pretty much be as loud as they want.
Clyde walked down to his locker to grab his laptop --he and the boys liked browsing various sights during their study time-- and waited there for the gang. To make the time go by a bit faster, he pulled out his phone and decided to call Craig. It took a few rings, but he finally picked up.
"What do you want?" Craig asked from the other line. Clyde could here Tweek say something to him, but couldn't quite make out what it was.
"I'm just waiting for the others at my locker, and I got bored so I decided to call you," Clyde explained. "So, what's up?"
"I'm just hanging out by Stark's Pond with Tweek. It's not very nice out today, we're planning on heading back soon."
"The bell just rang, now would be a good time."
"It did? Oh, shit. Well, we're gonna be a little late to our next class, I guess."
"The bell's already rung?!" Tweek piped up from the background. "Oh, Jesus, we've gotta get back!"
"Tweek, hold o- no, wait! Aw shit, he's running. Gotta go." Craig hung up just as Token approached Clyde at his locker.
"Hey, Clyde," He greeted. He had been in a better mood ever since he witnessed Clyde eating earlier that day. Token was a bit of a health nut and often worried about his friend's well-being. "The Mom Friend" was a title best suit for him. "Jimmy's in the office, one of his crutches broke. Just you and me today."
Clyde stuck his phone back into his pocket and gave Token a smile. "Okay, cool. Tweek ditched Spanish. Weird, huh?"
"Yeah, that's pretty unlike him. Maybe the kid finally grew a backbone."
"Pfft, yeah. He sure has changed a bit since elementary."
"Yep, and that's really good. I'm proud of him."
Clyde laughed. "Thanks, mom!" He said in a high voice, imitating Tweek.
Token chuckled. The two boys entered the library/study room and sat down in two seats next to each other.
"Shame Jimmy isn't here," Clyde said with a sigh.
"Yeah, he'll probably be joining us later on. Speaking of which, Craig invited us to his house earlier, you think you'll be able to come?"
"Wait, when?"
"Later today, after school."
"No, I mean when did he say this?"
"Oh, when we were going to lunch. You arrived much earlier, remember?"
"Oh yeah..."
Token picked his backpack up from the floor and pulled out his laptop, an obviously much more expensive version then Clyde's. "I have some homework that needs to be done today."
"Oh, alright then." Clyde opened his own computer and grabbed his earbuds from his bag's front pocket. He plugged them into his computer and turned on his favorite playlist, then continued to vibe for the rest of the period.
