5/"What's with you, really?"

It has been 2 days since since you started working as a maid in the Haitani household.

Rindou has been dealing with your non-stop bugging on him from the beginning and it seems like his patience is almost up.

On the other hand, Ran is just in the background, enjoying all these fights between you and his younger brother.

"Ran. Could you tell me why she's coming with us to work?" Rindou raised a question as entered their workplace.

"Well, why not? Y/n has nothing to do back at home since she finished all her tasks early. You should appreciate her more for all the hard work." Ran answered with a grin on his face that made Rindou get aggravated.

'Why is this happening to me and me only?' Rindou asked himself.

"Sir Rindou?" you called.

"What do you want?" he spoke with annoyance in his voice.

"Who is that woman over there?" you said as you pointed to the person you're referring to.

"Stupid, that's our manager. Give her some respect."

"Do you have interest in those types of women?"

"Huh? I only see our manager as a manager. Nothing else. Will you stop bothering me?" Rindou responded as he left you alone, sitting on the vacant chairs.

"Oh.. sorry." you whispered.

You didn't felt sad when Rindou left you but you were celebrating inside your head cuz of his response.

'So he wouldn't date her, right? RIGHT?! That's good news to me.' you thought, hiding your expression.

"Y/n, we'll be busy on our work now. Try to not go far away from where we are, got it?" Ran said.

"Got it, Sir Ran." you replied.

After hearing your quick response, he too left you alone. You saw him go inside a room with a white door, same place where Rindou went.

Minutes of waiting for them to return, you got bored and decided to peek inside the room.

'They didn't really say anything about going inside so I assume it's fine if I take a little peek.' you thought as you calmly walk your way through the door and slightly opened it.

What caught your eyes made you feel angry. It was Rindou chatting with a woman who seems to be another model.

'Who is she? Why is she standing so close to Rindou? What are they talking about? Why does Rindou look happy when he's talking to her? Am I not good enough..?'

All these questions made you regret the decision you've made. You sat back down on your chair, alone and upset.

It has been hours since the Haitani brothers left for work. The time is currently 5 PM and they have finished their work with no overtime.

Rindou hummed a question as he find it odd that you were gone from the lobby area.

'Y/n is not here?'

"Rin, what's wrong?" Ran asked as he noticed his brother's confused look.

"It's nothing. I thought I forgot something but I guess not." Rindou replied.

"Oh. You should go home without me. I have some stuff to catch up with the manager." the older Haitani said.

"Ok, I'll go now then." he responded.

As soon as Ran left, Rindou hurried to look for you.

'Where could she have gone to? The bathroom? No, she shouldn't take that long to be there. Maybe she got lost?'

Rindou came up with all the possibilities of the places you could have gone to.

You snuck up from behind then scared him with a hard bump on his back.

As you expected, he shouted from the surprise. Rindou turned around to see who did such a thing and his head went furious as he saw your face.

"Did I scared y-"

"Will you stop it?! I'm done with you! Seriously!" Rindou shouted at you, full of anger.

Your smile faded to a frown. After that, you walked out from the situation silently, exiting the building.

Rindou watched you as you walked away. He couldn't speak another word, thinking if he went too far.

You find yourself crying, crouched down on the side of the street near a random small fast food restaurant.

"Oh? Y/n is that you?"

You looked up to see that it was one of your "friends" who spoke curiously.

"Nessa? Also, Sandy and Phil? What are you all doing out here?" you asked, wiping away your tears.

"Yo!" Phil greeted with a cheerful tone.

"Hey." Sandy greeted, emotionless in his voice.

"Just passing by. Why are you crying on the street?" Nessa questioned.

"What are you talking about? I'm not crying. I was just.. cleaning my eyes." you lied.

"You look like a clown in that maid outfit, Y/n. Did your idol told you to wear that?" Phil now asked a question.

"Why do you care? I can wear whatever I want!" you said as you stood up.

"Oh, I know! You got rejected by that idol you really liked!" Nessa responded, laughing.

The other two laughed as well.

"Yeah, we told you already! You should stop messing with their lives and come back to us." Phil spoke, containing his laughter.

"Look at you. You look awful, Y/n." Nessa commented.

"Such a try hard in front of your idol." Sandy spoke as he looked at you from head to toe with disgust.

Phil pushed you, leading you to fall on the ground. The three of them start to laugh once more.

You only kept silent, avoiding to add more conflicts. Knowing your "friends", they would always bring up unnecessary subjects when they feel like they're already losing in an argument.

"You really are a clown! Ah, this is too funny!" Nessa holds her stomach while laughing.

After the three laughed their insides out, they decided to leave you be.

Suddenly, a person knocked down Phil. The two got alarmed and also terrified, not knowing what just happened.

"H-huh..?" Nessa said quietly.

"Phil??" Sandy quickly went to Phil who's already down on the ground.

You looked at the person who knocked down Phil and was surprised that it was Rindou Haitani.

"Y/n, are these your so called friends?" Rindou asked.

Words couldn't come out from your mouth as you were stunned at how Rindou looks so elegant right after attacking someone.

"Hmp. I guess not anymore." Rindou said, smirking.

He grabbed Sandy's arm and broke it without any mercy. Nessa fell to the ground, shaking from fear as she witnessed the horrifying glare of the man.

"Now what else should I break? Same as his? Or your leg? Or maybe both?" the mad Haitani asked, looking down on the woman.

Nessa ran as far away as she can from danger. She didn't hesitate to leave her two friends behind.

"Tch. What a coward." Rindou said.

He then turned his attention to you.

"Why did you come here?" you asked.

"Why didn't you defend yourself?" he asked back.

You didn't gave a respond, only looking away from him.

He sat next to you and said, "They were just using you, Y/n. You knew that yet you still chose to stick with them?"

"At first, I thought they were genuinely happy with me around but then money came in the topic. I'm pretty sure you have a good guess on what happened next." you replied, now making eye contact with him.

He sighed then responded, "You don't need those people. Now, let's go back home before Ran gets mad at me."

You felt relieved, forming a smile on your face. Relieved knowing that he doesn't truly hate you and that sense of security you feel whenever you're around him.

"Sorry, Sir Rindou."

"I didn't mean to shout at you a while ago. Also, you can drop the sir now. It's making me uncomfortable.. a little."

"Oh~? I didn't know you feel that way, Sir Rindou." you said teasingly.

"Stop it, Y/n." Rindou responded with an annoyed tone, making you just laugh at his reaction.
