Chapter 13

Harry walks the two siblings out onto the deck of the ship and ties them to the mast. Misty looks down at the wooden floor as she is tied next to Ben. After Harry is done he walks over to Ben and lifts his hook and rubs Ben's chin with it, "Coochy-coochy coo." Harry smiles "How's it feel being a prince now, eh?" He asks teasing Ben as he leans his arms on the pole behind him. Ben just looks up at him, Harry looks down at Ben and just smirks and laughs then walks off.

As Harry walks around the pole to Misty as he reaches his hook out to her Uma grabs his hand and moves it away from her. "Give it a rest, Harry. Give it a rest." She says as she walks to sit on the steps in front of Misty. "We don't want damaged goods." Harry climbs onto a rope next to the pole that Ben and Misty were tied to, he hangs from the rope and gestures to the siblings.

"You said the I could hook them." Uma looks up at him. "I said at noon." Uma glares at him. Harry looks between Uma and Misty, he gets down from the ropes and walks up to Misty and hangs a pocket watch from his hand that was under the hook. "Twenty more minutes." Harry says in a more playful tone that he did with Ben a few moments ago. Misty looks at the watch, then back up at Harry with a playful smirk. "That says 11:30." Harry's face dawns a small smile before he sighs.

Uma speaks up, "You better hope your brother's girlfriend comes through." She smirks as Harry walks to kneel next to Uma. Before Misty could say anything Ben speaks up from next to her, "But she's not my girlfriend anymore." Misty rolls her eyes and sighs quietly. "Not helping, Ben." She muttered under her breath. Uma looks up at Misty and tilts her head a bit. "Leave us alone, Harry." She states not looking away at the queen. Harry walks up to Misty and whispered, "Nineteen minutes to go now." He teases. "Go" Uma states. Harry looks at Uma then back at Misty. He playfully bows and winks at her before he walks away.

Misty looks down at Uma. "Uma, I completely understand that you don't deserve any of this. You deserve a happy life away from all of this." Misty says. Uma just laughs and leans back. "This. This island is a prison thanks your father. And don't pretend to look out for me because no one's looking out for me. It's just me." She says. Misty looks at her with sadness and sympathy in her eyes. 

"So, this isn't your mom's plan? Isn't that her necklace?" Ben asks. Misty looks at her brother with an annoyed look and mouthes 'shut up.' Uma scoffs and looks at Ben, "My mom doesn't care about me either. Well, not unless she needs someone for the night shift." Uma says sadly. "Ouch" Ben blurts out, Misty glares at him. "Ben, stop talking."

"I don't need your pity." Uma says. Misty shakes her head. "You don't, You're very resourceful." She says while looking around. "I don't see you tied up" She says trying to lighten the mood. Uma chuckles and stands up and walks up to Misty. "All right, so let's trash talk Mal." Uma smirks. "I'd rather talk about you. Maybe get to know you, your situation. And maybe I can help in some sort of way." Misty says smiling at her.

"Mmm. Funny and ladylike. I really I don't want to have to feed you and your brother to the fishes." Uma says turning back around and looks at her nails. "You don't. Like I said, I want to help, let me help in some way. Just set us free and we can take you back to find a solution." Uma's eyes widen and turns back to face the siblings."Oh, so now I get an invite." She chuckles. "Gee, I wonder why." She places a hand next to the pole next to Misty's head and looks at her in the eyes. Misty sucks in a breath.

"When you brought Mal, Evie, Carlos, and Jay to Auradon, that's as mad as I've ever been in my life. And trust me , I've been plenty mad." Uma says tapping Misty on the cheek. "Uma, I wanted to bring more of you to Auradon, but I wanted to start small.  I am so sorry that I hurt you and everyone that I didn't pick, and I will forever be sorry for that. The plan was to start with four kids and bring more people over. And thats what I planned. Two months after my coronation I had a meeting with the council about bring more kids to Auradon, but they were super hesitant and would talk about it further in fear of what happened at the coronation. Which halted the whole process. I'm sorry, I truly am." Misty says. "You're a leader Uma. So is Misty. Come to Auradon and be part of the solution." Ben says, Misty glances at him then back at Uma and nods slightly.

Uma walks closer to Misty. "Me? Part of your solution? Nah. I don't need you. I'm gonna get there on my own. Harry." She says walking away from the two. "Lets see what this puppy can do." Uma says holding her necklace as she walks off. Misty looks down at her shoes and sighs. "Well, what do we do now?" Ben asks looking at his sister. "I don't know, Ben. I don't know."

Misty and Ben are still tied to the pole when they hear Gil shout, "Hey, guys! There here!" Everyone cheers and Harry walks over to them and unties them except their hands. As Harry unties Misty he whispers in her ear. "Nothing will happen you yah, I make sure of it." He says as she takes a quick glance at him. Harry walks them across the ship. "Welcome!" He says to the VK's as he pushed the siblings towards the dock, and walks off. "Finally!" Uma says happily and laughs.

Huh, let's get this party started

I swear I'm cold-hearted

Harry pushes Misty and Ben onto the plank.

Uma gestures to the siblings, meanwhile Harry is leaning on Misty wit a arm around her shoulders.

Then ask yourself how long you think I'll remain patientI'll throw them overboard and let them swim with killer sharksYou either hand over the wand or they'll  be ripped apart

(Mal)

Now, let's all just be smart

The pirates use their swords to the siblings while Harry is leaning them both back waving a pocket watch in front of their faces.

Harry spins both of the siblings around in circles.

Uma walks on the the dock and meets Mal in the middle.

(Mal)

Okay, look, this is not a conversation

It's a do-or-die situation

Mal gestures to the three on the plank and Harry laughs and walks away from the two

If you don't give me back the siblingsI'll have no hesitationI'll serve you right hereAnd I don't need a reservationThat way your whole pirate crew can have a demonstration

Harry walks up next to Uma.

Release them now, and we can go our separate waysUnless you wanna deal with me and the VK's

Ha ha, so that's your big speech, huh?

An empty ultimatum?

Harry walks back to the siblings. While Misty is bobing her head to the music, kin of enjoying it.

Harry walks closer to the two and they move forward getting close to the edge.

Misty was noding her head to the music but rolls her eyes when her brother starts to sing.

(Ben)

Silly Prince, her? Give me?

Mal walks over to Uma and goes to hand her the 'wand.'  "Hold up. Mmm. Too easy. Why don't you give it a test drive? We want to see it work." Uma smiles Mal scoffs, "You always were quite the drama queen." "oh and nothing to big, or else or Misty and Ben are fish bait." Mal looks over and sees Harry is holding Misty by her collar with his hook and Ben by his jacket with his hand. Misty and Ben look over at her scared. 

Mal looks back at the others and Carlos makes a small head motion over to Dude that was near by. Mal smiles then turns to the direction that the dog was in. She lifts the 'wand' and says "Although it seems absurd, turn your bark into a word." She says with a little flick of the 'wand towards the dog. Dude just stares at her, "Talk dog." Mal says sternly. "Does this vest make me look fat?" He asks.

Uma hols out her hand, "Give me the wand!" "Give me Ben and Misty!" Mal shouts. Uma gives in and looks over  at the three. "Harry bring them over." Harry backs up and drags them with him. All the pirates start cheering, Gil walks over to the two and says "And, before you go, uh, tell your mama Gaston says hi. And also tell your dad that my dad wishes he finished off your dad when he had the chance." Harry pushes the siblings to their knees in front of the Vk's and stands behind them.

Uma places her elbow on Misty's head. "Aw" Uma teases. Uma and Mal open a hand to each other. Jay comes up next to Mal getting ready to grab Misty while Mal grabs Ben. They stare each other down. "Cut them loose Harry" Uma says. Harry rolls his eyes and sighs. "I never get to have any fun." He says as he cuts Ben free first then Misty. Misty grabs a hold onto Jay's hand and Ben onto Mal's hand. Mal hands the wand over to Uma as Misty and Ben go over to the other side.

Mal and Jay try to usher the two away from the ship. All the pirates cheer and Uma goes onto her ship and raises the wand and chants, "By the power of the sea tear it down and set us free!" But when nothing happens she looks at the group and snaps the fake wand over her knee and shouts "You do not get to win every time! Get 'em!"

Soon a all out fight between everyone happens. Swords clashing, people crashing into the water below. This was Misty's dream come true. Throughout the whole fight she was smiling, even when she was fighting Harry at one point. Carlos and Evie fire smoke bombs and Mal moves the siblings to the tunnel they had gone through. Once they are on the other side of the bridge Ben knocks it down and Misty makes eye contact with Uma and mouths 'I'm so sorry' and follows her brother out of the tunnel.

They all soon get into the car. Misty is sitting next to Evie while Ben sits with Mal. Mal looks back out the window. Misty looks down then back up at Mal. "Im really sorry that things didn't go the way you wanted them to." Misty says. "I mean... as long as you and Ben are safe that's..." Mal shrugs. "I mean we got to see the Isle. They are my and Ben's people too." Misty smiles. Ben nods. "Uma helped us see that." Mal looks at him dumfounded. "Ben, Uma captured you and Misty."

"She's an angry girl with a bad plan." Mal's jaw drops at Ben's words. "That's not so different from you when you came to Auradon, Mal." Everyone in the car went silent, even rthough they already were. "Awkward." Dude says, Carlos scolds him.

As they were making their way across the bridge Jay turns to Lonnie. "why don't you stop by practice later? I talked to Misty, and we have a surprise for you?" Lonnie looks at him and smiles. "What, in the mood to break some rules?" Jay scoffs. "No"

Once they arrive at the school Misty grabs her bag and walks next to Evie and Carlos. Jane walks up to Ben and drags him aside along. Mal and Evie look at the interaction between Mal and Ben. They look at each other and nod as they walk over to her. Evie holds onto her right arm while misty hold her left. "We need to talk." Evie says. Mal agrees and they start to walk off, but are stopped by Carlos. "No" he says. They all turn and face him. Misty lets go of Mal's arm and moves off to the side as to not intrude. Evie questions him. 

"You guys are always going off in a huddle, whispering your girl-talk stuff or whatever, and Jay and I are tired of it." He states. Jay looks over at him and then back at the girls. "Im not" Jay just shrugs "We're your family too. We've been through a lot. Together. I'm not stopping that now. Okay? Everyone sit." He says then sits on the floor with Dude in his lap. 

Everyone follows suit except Misty, she gives a little smile and turns on her heels to walk off. "You too, Misty." Carlos calls out causing Misty to stop in her tracks and turn to face the group. Misty opens her mouth to say something but Carlos beats her to it. "Don't try to protest, You're a honorary Vk, you are our family too. Come on." He pats the ground next to him. Misty sighs but has a small smile and sits next to Carlos and Mal.

"I don't know how to start girl talk." Carlos says honestly. Jay shrugs "What up?" Evie and Misty chuckle. "Well...Im a mess. Im such a mess. I mean, six months ago, I was you know stealing candy from babies. And now, everybody wants me to be this Lady of the Court, and I have no idea how to keep up the act." Mal vents, Misty and Evie place a hand on her shoulder. "Then don't" Carlos says. Jay starts to stand up. "See? This was dumb" Evie stops him, "Maybe it wasn't" Evie grabs Mal's hand and looks at the rest of the group.

"We're all going to be kids from the Isle, well except Misty but I digress. I tried to forget it, I really tried, but those are our roots. And we all did what we had to do to survive, but it made us who we are. And we're never gonna be like anybody else here. And that's okay. That's okay." Misty smiles at Evie's little speech. Carlos nods "And we can't fake it." Evie shakes her head. "Yeah, I mean, especially without my spell book." 

"Well, if Ben doesn't love the real you, then he's not the one." Misty nods "I like that" Evie says. "Give him a chance." Carlos finished. Evie looks at Mal "Im going to make some changes to your dress, and if you're up for it, only if you're up for it, it'll be waiting for you, okay?" She asks, Mal nods and Evie and hugs Mal. Everyone stands up except for Mal and Misty. They all walk off but Jay stays behind and whispers something to Mal and she responds with a nod. 

Once Jay is out of earshot Misty turns to Mal and says. "Mal, I just want you to know that I will support you, no matter what. I know Ben is my brother but you are one of my closest friends I will want to make sure you are happy. Whether  that be here in Auradon or on the Isle, I will always support and love you. And if you do decide to go back to the Isle I will do what I can to make sure you are being taken care of and I will do what I can to go visit you. I just wanted to make sure that you knew that, you are a good person Mal, don't forget that." Misty says with her whole heart. She gives Mal a quick hug before standing up and walking away leaving Mal alone with her thoughts.
