"The best thing in life to hold onto is each other"-Audrey Hepburn.

He was turning violently in his sleep. The nightmares kept appearing one after the other, the screams of his comrades, his pets, his family. Everything burned to ashes. Including Raven. Her face stricken with fear as she slowly melts into the flames... Damian gasped as his eyes bursted open, sleep flying from around his face. His clothes were crumpled, hair tousled in all directions. "Holy fuck." He whispered aloud to himself.  Hauling himself from his measly bed, Damian yawned, stretching his limbs as far as he could.

Nightwing opened the door to Damian's room as soon as he heard Damian yawn. "Hey little bro I have something to talk to you about..." Damian stripped. His lean muscles showed hard training from up in the mountains, the way they flexed as he tensed.

"What is it Dick?" Damian inquired, throwing on his fighting suit, the little R showing his position. His hair stood fiercely on his head, spiking into different directions. His green eyes shimmered under the moonlight from the window nearby.

"Have the kids told you anything about what Batman and I were doing?" Nightwing was shivering. It must have been freezing wearing an averagely skin-tight suit. Damian looked at his ceiling, thinking about Nightwing and Batman, the syringe and the pain. He shook his head. "Oh thank god. Whatever they say, don't believe them ok?"

"K." Damian retorted, slamming his door in his brother's face. He sighed. Now that he was away from Raven, everything was slowly dying in him; emotions, memories, milestones, all fading away into nothingness. He needed to be strong for Raven.

Using his fragile confidence, he slammed the door back open, expecting Nightwing all flustered and angry. Instead, there was Batman. "You wanted to talk Damian? Talk." He barked.

"Father! I um... Need to know how to say to a person I love the other person whose trying to be saved. Get it?" He was shaking with nervousness. His emotions sprang to life again, filling him with ease as he stood in front of his father.

"So, the other person is the one you love, and the person you're talking to needs you to prove it?" Batman questioned, tilting his head in a manner of amusement.

"Y...Yeah." Damian replied. Batman sighed.

"I think it's time for a man to man talk Damian." He bellowed, holding out his hand to Damian. He took it. They walked outside to the fresh urban air and the amazing garden the Wayne Manor managed. "You see Damian, when a man loves a woman very very much, they tend to deny the feelings, or go insane. In your case it seems you are just in love, so neither. It's cute, seeing my son and a demon from hell together. Makes me want to puke. So, I'm just going to give some quick advice and then head back to the Bat-cave. Follow your heart's desires, wherever they may lead you; you will find your real feelings and emotions only when you have found this." Batman turned, facing the Wayne Manor. "This is an order." He barked, "Follow your heart Damian." He walked away, leaving Damian dumbfounded in the garden.

"That was the best advice he'd ever given me. Holy shit." Damian thought as he soon trudged back into the house, preparing himself for the leave back to the Teen Titans. Packing the average items, a few clothes, his weapons and other useful gadgets, Damian departed the house full of his other family, heading towards his real home, among the Teen Titans.

Before Damian exited the manor, Walter appeared before him at the gate. "Do what master Bruce has ordered you to do ok? No dawdling or kerfuffle. Do return sometime young master." And with that he left. Damian stared at the manor one last time, his fighting outfit blowing in the October breeze. "Autumn's here... Almost time for Halloween..." Damian thought as he scaled the nearest building.

"I better spend it with Raven." He muttered, jumping from building to building on his way back home. A loud cry stopped Damian halfway through a jump, sending him spiraling down into a dark alleyway.

"HELP! Rape!" A young woman screamed as Damian sought his way out of the alleyway and to the voice of the lady. "SOMEONE PLEASE!" She continuously yelled. Damian could tell her voice was growing hoarse. She was nearby, he could feel it. "Ah..." She cried and Damian found her. A man was pinning her to the ground, his legs straddling her, his mouth on her neck, his hands on her breasts.

"It's justice time." Damian whispered as he punched the guy on the cheek, sending him to the other side of the wall. The large building loomed above Damian like a shadow. He sent a text to the Titans, asking for help.

A short while later, Damian and the Titans one less member  were in the hospital visiting the female victim. The lady sat up straight away when she saw Damian and the other Titans. Except Raven. "Thank you so much..." The lady breathed. Damian smiled,

"Just doing my job. Our job." The others smiled at him as he approached the female, giving her a pity hug. "Have a nice recovery." Damian regarded, leaving the room.

"Any chance Robin has a girlfriend?" The lady asked. The Teen Titans looked at her with disdain.

"Yeah, he does. See you." They spat, marching out of the room to follow Damian.

"I'll make sure he'll become my boyfriend then. By force." She muttered, resting in her covers, plotting her next move.
