Beach

Ed's POV

Louise and I must have taken about 100 selfies together but I wasn't going to lie, we looked hella hot. She was wearing red shorts and a thin, navy and white striped, cotton t-shirt. I was wearing patterned shorts and a Hawaiian shirt because, well, I was in Hawaii therefore was allowed to look weird.

Right now, we were on the beach lying on our beach towels on the sand. I made sure to put my sun cream on and reapply every half hour because I got sunburnt easily.

The beach was fairly empty as it was a private beach for the residents of the hotel. It felt pretty awesome knowing we had nearly a whole beach to ourselves.

"If you could be a unicorn, what colour would you be?" Louise asked, being deadly serious.

"Hmm..." I thought carefully about my answer. "Pink."

"Pink?"

"Yeah, pink." I nodded. "It'll show off my feminine side, don't you think?"

"Your feminine side?" Louise laughed.

"You sayin' I don't have a feminine side?" I questioned.

"Hey, if you say you have one, you have one." She nodded. "But don't you think saying pink is a little sexist?"

"You calling my unicorn self sexist?" I gasped.

"I asked you a completely normal, simple question, only you cou-"

"Normal, simple question, huh?" I grinned.

"Yes. What's not normal about unicorns?" She questioned.

"They're not real?"

"Fuck. Off. They're not real?!" She sat up on her beach towel, looking like I'd just told her Father Christmas didn't exist.

"Are you being serious right now?"

"Deadly." She replied.

And so we began arguing about the existence of unicorns and I ended up in fits of laughter. Oh how I was madly in love with this unicorn loving girl.

After numerous heated conversations, we found ourselves running out into the ocean together, splashing about in the shallow, warm waves of the sea. Using my leg, I flicked water on Louise and she splashed me back with her hands. We ended up having mini battle in the waves.

"Oh you're so dead!" Louise squealed once I had drenched her hair in water.

"Come at me bro!" I challenged.

Her feeble attempts to splash me diminished once I had picked her up bridal style, lifting her out of the water.

"That's cheating!" She accused as I walked a little deeper into the sea.

"Either you surrender, or I throw you in. Your choice." I shrugged.

"I pick option 3." She watched my lips.

"What's option 3?" I wondered.

"This." She leaned up and pressed her lips against mine and I was soon lost inside her mouth. She moved herself so her legs were wrapped around my waist and arms around my neck. I held her up and kissed her passionately as I slowly walked backwards. I sat us both down on the sand as we continued to make out. Her hand threaded through my wet hair as my hand lifted to her cheek. I enjoyed being so close and intimate with her, and was overjoyed knowing that no one was watching even though we were on a beach.

"Option 3." I nodded as we pulled apart, a little dazed. "Good choice."

"I know." She smiled, moving off me.

We sat, legs outstretched, so that the water of the ocean gently tickled our feet. We were both pretty drenched but we weren't cold owing to the scorching hot weather.

"Come on, Edward." She stood up and held her hand out to me.

"Where we going?" I asked, taking her hand.

"Up there." She pointed to a cliff which was above the sea.

"Can I ask why?" I said as she started walking.

"We're going to jump from there." She stated.

"Sorry, what?" My jaw dropped. Was she insane?

"Into the water you weirdo." She laughed.

"Oh...I knew that." I replied.

We walked up the steps and then followed a little path and, after some minor effort of climbing, we reached the top of the cliff. My heart immediately began to pound as I saw the huge drop.

"You're mad." I shook my head.

"Nope, just dying." She shrugged. I didn't like it when she said stuff like that, it made everything seem so real even though we were living this dream like life.

"You really wanna jump?" I asked.

"Yep." She nodded and slipped her hand in mine. "Together?"

"Fuck it." I shook my head. "Together."

"On three." She commanded. "One..."

"Two..." I said.

"Three!" We both yelled and pounced off the cliff edge.

I felt weightless as we began to fall, and it felt as though my heart was flying out of my chest as we plummeted down. A huge smile spread across my face and the sound of Louise screaming travelled through my ears making my smile grow.

We crashed into the water and my hand fell from her grip as we both swam upwards for air. I felt so alive and exhilarated.

"Fuck, didn't that give you a buzz?!" She beamed.

"Hell yeah!" I agreed, wiggling my legs to keep me afloat.

We began swimming around until I teased Louise about man eating sharks lerking about and she insisted that we swam back to shore.

I was so mean.

We retreated back to wear we were sitting before and I ordered some cocktails for us both. I reapplied my sun cream, as did Louise, and we just laid down, enjoying the sun, sipping on our drinks. This was the life.

Nightfall slowly approached and the sky was turning dark. It was still warm yet the stars were out, shining brightly on us.

My eyes were shut and I felt a little groggy from the cocktails. I felt the light patter of water fall on my exposed skin and blinked my eyes open. It was raining. But, not horrible cold rain like in England; it was warm and relaxing.

"Dance with me!" Louise's hand grasped mine.

"But there's no music." I told her, but stood up anyway.

"So what?" She pulled me towards her and then I remembered that dancing in the rain was on our bucket list. We were going through that thing pretty fast. We had already eaten a lot of food and gone to Hawaii, and now we were dancing in the rain. We only came up with the list, 2 days ago?

I held both of her hands and we began dancing like weirdos. I held my arm up and she twirled around underneath it. The warm rain felt nice against my skin as we danced underneath the stars.

I pulled her close to me and she wrapped her arms around my neck, looking up to me. She looked so beautiful in this light. Heck, she always looked beautiful.

"I wish this day would never end." She whispered. "I wish we could live in this moment forever."

"Me too." I agreed, not taking my eyes gorgeous face.

"Thank you, for this. For everything." She said but I was too lost in her eyes. "You're an amazing person, Ed Sheeran."

"I know." I modestly smiled and kissed her forehead.

"I don't know what I'd do without you." She admitted.

"And I don't know what I'd do without you." I confessed.

We slowly leaned in and I kissed her under the light of a thousand stars. I knew that our love could never grow old; it was evergreen. She smiled into the kiss and I knew that her smile would be forever in my mind even after she was gone...

And that was all I needed to keep me going.
