Chapter 2: Date Night

I had just finished curling my hair when I got a text from Sid

Sid: Dress casual and warm.. I'll be there in an hour

Casual? I wonder where he was taking me. I opened my closest door and reached for the box on the top shelf. As I pulled down the box some dust came into my face causing me to cough. I opened the box and pulled out black leggings with a hot pink tunic. My make up was done now all I needed was a sweatshirt. All the way at the bottom of the box was my Pittsburgh Penguins sweatshirt, I unfolded it and held it up.

"Yep, still fits"

Before locking up the apartment, I grabbed my phone and wallet. Just as I was walking out of the house, Sid pulled up in his yellow and black camaro. He got out and walked to the passenger side of the car

"Right this way beautiful"

I couldn't help but blush. I sat in the car and Sid closed the door behind me.

"So where are we going"

"Well my dear, that's a surprise" he said with a smirk

"Pleeeassssssse tell me" I said, sticking my bottom lip out to make a pouty face.

"But that would ruin the surprise"

"Fine"

He pulled the car into the parking lot of the Consol Energy Center. Just as I was about to open the door, Sid ran to my door and opened it for me.

"Its okay Sid, I know how to open a door"

"I know... But I'd rather do it for you"

We walked into the arena. Sid was leading me. He gently covered my eyes and guided me through the hallways. I didn't know where I was, but I was struck with cold air on my face. Just than Sid took his hands off my eyes. We were at the ice rink, white lights were strung all around.

"Surprise"

"Oh my Sid, this so beautiful.. You didn't have to do this"

"I wanted to..... I think the most beautiful girl in the world deserves it"

" no one has gone out of there way to do something like this for me.. Thank you Sid"

"Now.. Figure or hockey skates?"

"Hockey"

"Are you sure about that?"

"Yea I'm sure"

Sid came over with my skates

"May I lace them for you."

"If you want"

I let out a small giggle. Sid bent down and started tying my skates.

Just as he was getting up our eyes met. He stood up and held his hand out. I let my hand grab his, I felt sparks fly through me. Something about his touch, he was so gentle, so full of life. His hand entangled with mine as we walked to the ice. Sid put his one hand on my hip and the other one stayed entangled with mine. We both got onto the ice, Sid was still holding me tight.

"You can let go if you want"

"But I don't want you to fall" he said it sarcastically

"Let go, believe me I won't fall"

"Alright, your wish is my command"

As soon as he let go I began speeding down the ice, picking up speed I stopped quick. Snow came flying off my skates over the glass. I began to skate back towards Sid, whose jaw was wide open

"You may wanna close your mouth before you get flys"

"That was amazing.. I didn't know you could skate like that, you've got some skill.

"I would hope so, grew up with 2 brothers that played hockey.. I've always loved the sport"

"I'll race you" Sid said it like a little kid challenging someone else

"Your on"

"To the other end in back... On 3... 1.........2.........THREE"

We were both neck and neck coming down the sides of the ice. I dug my skates deep into the ice causing me to slide a bit, snow came flying up. Sid was barley able to stop, I was already on my way to other side. Sid was close behind me. Just as I was about to reach the finish line I felt hands on my hips. Sid picked me up bridal style and began spinning me around on center line. I couldn't help but giggle, just than we began to fall. Sid had broke my fall. We both lied there, I sat up right on his stomach, looking at him I said "your so lucky your big ass broke our fall" I was laughing so hard I almost fell over.

"How would you know I had a big ass?" With a sarcastic voice.

"I just know it's big, that's alot of padding you got back there" I was laughing uncontrollably

"Hahaha you love it" We both sat there laughing. Finally I moved off Sid and he stood up. He helped me to my feet.

"You know your ass ain't bad either"

"Why you looking back there"

I sat down a Sid unlaced my skates, I slipped my shoes back on. After Sid put our skates away and we began walking to the car.

"Now.... I have one last surprise for tonight"

"And I bet your not gonna tell me what it is"

"You got it"

Clair was so beautiful, her blue eyes mesmerized me, and she had curves in all the right places. I didn't think she could skate like she did tonight. She has more speed than a couple of the guys on the team. And she's right my ass did brake our fall tonight. I decided to end the night with taking her to a small Italian diner and get ice cream Sundays.

-----Clair's POV

We pulled into the parking lot of an old run down diner. Just as we walked in some old Italian lady came and greeted Sid.

"Oh my Sid, look at you... Who is this?"

"This is my uh..My date Clair" "Clair this is Jansson"

I greeted her and she showed us to our table. We sat down in a booth in the corner of the room.

"One regular"

"Coming right up"

"So is this your little hangout spot?" I asked Sid

"Ya..It's one of the first places I went to when i came to Pittsburgh... It's gotta nice "at home" feel"

"It's really cute here.. I'll defiantly come here again"

Just than Jansson brought out an ice cream Sunday with two spoons. The ice cream piled up high, and she brought a plate of whip cream..

"Here you two love birds go... I wasn't sure if the lovely lady liked whip cream so they put it on the side"

Sid and I dug in. Just as the ice cream was running out Sid put the whip cream on his spoon, which ended up on my face. Before I knew it Sid and I had whipped cream all over our faces. Jansson brought us some baby wipes to clean off our faces. I picked up one of the wipes and gently wiped a spot Sid left on his face.

"Your cute with whipped cream all over your face" I rolled my eyes at him. Sid paid the bill and we began on our way back to the apartment.

Avril Lavigne "here's to never growing up" came blasting through the cars speakers"

"I love this song" Sid said

"Me to"

Sid opened the moon roof and blasted the music. He grabbed my hand and we started signing on the top of our lungs.

GO HARD THIS WEEKEND FOR NO DAMN REASON

Somewhere in the middle of the song our hands entangled and I felt sparks fly. When I was with Sid I had no worries, being with him felt so right.He pulled up into my driveway and walked me to my apartment door.

"Tonight was really fun.. Thank you"

"Your welcome, I really enjoyed my time with you tonight"

Just than Sid kissed me on the cheek. I turned and unlocked the door, I'm sure I was blushing mad hard. Just as I was about to close the door I opened it and kissed Sid on his cheek, returning the favor. "Good night"

I closed the door and leaned on it. My back slid down until I was sitting there smiling. His touch gives me butterfly's, his smile made me blush and his big brown eyes mesmerized me. I slid my hand over the spot on my cheek where he kissed me, I felt electrified when he kissed me.
