The Fate of Olympus (Chapter 17)
08:01, 31 December 2016Quote: "What you do is not important, it is what you do for others that is important."
Craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaap.
The Iris message looked like a true nightmare. Every powerful monster, Titan, Typhon, and more all were chasing the worn down Olympians. I start to breathe heavily, either from stress or the fact that I just beat Kronos and Law.
I need another plan, but what possible plan could be made? Not many demigods were still able to fight, and there were still thousands of monsters across the world. The gods were all running away for once, it was an unsolvable problem.
Its like fighting an army of bears with an army of squirrels, its not gonna happen.
I sigh as I go deep in thought, trying to figure out a plan. I think desperately, the Olympians may be here soon to make a final stand.
Ugh, why isn't Annbe- she here? She was supposed to be the planner, where is she and that Jack-ass? (Puns!)
Probably still munching on each others faces, as always.
Ah darn ADHD, I am wasting Time!.
....
.........
I got it!........I think. Remember when I teleported all the demigods and gods here, maybe I could teleport the monsters somewhere else. It would take a lot of energy, too much, but it was my only plan that could work. But where would I teleport them to? Underwater is my first thought, but Oceanus would hold a huge advantage, as well as Typhon.
Lava Pit? Nah, Krios and any fire monster would become stronger, and it is not my element.
Desert? Nah, neither of us have an advantage, plus no water.
Maybe.....space!
The Moon!
The moon seems good, no mortals, and some moisture in the atmosphere. I can breathe since I am a God and Titan, but that means Typhon and all of them can breathe there too. But it would even the playing field, since many monsters cannot breathe in space. However, I would be extremely tired from the teleportation, and I would be unable to win against all of them, but they will never make it back to earth for several centuries when they get the power to teleport back.. That is what the prophecy meant, for Olympus to survive, I must die.
As I finish my thought, the Olympians rush in the gates. Each of them look battered or damaged.
"Holy crap, so many of them..." stated Ares."We barely made it out." Said Apollo."Olympus is doomed." exclaimed Zeus.
They noticed me standing, with Kronos' s dust and Law's body near me.
"There is no hope." Was among the common statements stated by many gods.
"No there is always hope. I have one last plan, it will work, I need to get out there." I say
"Are you insane? They are all out there, they will be here soon!" Said Apollo
"My plan will work, I know it will." I state adamantly.
"What must we do?" Asked Athena.
"Nothing" I reply.
The gods stared at me oddly.
"You plan to fight all of them yourself? Thats not a plan, that's suicide!" Athena exclaimed.
I told them all my plan, but they seemed shocked by my choice.
"Why don't you just teleport them? Why teleport yourself?" Asked Athena.
"Because I need all the focus I have, if I were to concentrate on myself to stay, I possibly could mess up the telportation as a whole, leaving every monster here, and if I were to go the moon, then get back, I would be too fatigued to even stand, let alone teleport back here." I explain.
"You....plan to die in order to save us?" Said Posieden. This was surprising, I had never really talked with my dad ever since he cast me out.
"Yes, I do. There are a few people I still care about, and I refuse to let them perish." I state.
The gods seemed surprised at my choices, even Ares.
"So, punk, you really are gonna do this, aren't you?" Ares stated.
"Of course." I reply.
"You have my respect. I used to think you were an arrogant brat of Poseiden, and I see now I was wrong. Only a true warrior chooses what you just did." He stated with no regret.
I smile for a bit.
Some gods came out and commented on my choice. They had gained a new respect for me, no other person would openly give their life away to save others.
When Posieden spoke, he spilled. "Perseus, I want to say I am sorry for what I did. I was a fool. I blamed you for Sally's death, but I now know it was not your fault, and I had helped sentence you to a fate worse than death. You were my best son, the greatest demigod to ever live, and I tossed you away, and I know I cannot ask for your forgiveness after what I did, but I cannot go on if you died out there knowing I was not sorry."
I was slightly shocked at his words, and many other gods were shocked as well. I let a tear fall as I spoke.
"I forgive you. I learned long ago to forgive, but to never forget. I am no longer angry at you, but I will not forget what happened. I know Mom's death affected you as much as it did me. I would be happy to still be a son of Posieden, even if I will only be for a few minutes." I state sadly.
Posieden comes over and embraces me in a warm hug, still in our armor somehow. He lets a few tears out as well.
"Of course you can. You are the best son of mine of all time." He stated.
Soon the gates started banging. They were here, trying to knock down the gate. I turned to the gods, whom all stared at me with a sad expression, even Athena.
"Well....you all better be going now. Its my time. Do not look back, keep going. This is my goodbye to you all. It has been an honor serving Olympus." I said with sorrow.
Surprisingly, the gods bowed to me, and were going to flash to the council room. Posieden, while flashing, turned back to me. He waved goodbye with a sad smile and I waved back.
The monsters all crowded the gate until I heard a noise.
Thump!
Thump!
Thump!
Footsteps, really big footsteps. Outside the huge gates is Typhon himself, his ugly green face still the same as I last some him when I fought Kronos. He easily pushed through the gates as if it were made out of paper.
All of them rushed in like water out of a river. Many stopped when they saw me.
"One puny demigod to face a whole armada?" Said almost everything in the crowd.
I smirked as I concentrated with everything I had. Trying to teleport was like trying to spin in circles, it makes you dizzy if you do it too much. And I was trying to travel to the freaking moon. It felt as if someone grabbed a hammer and put a sign that said "hit me" on my head. Not only was I teleporting myself, but millions of monsters all around the world with me. Teleporting monsters was easier since they were not strong, unless they were extremely powerful. Each monster have a similar signature, for instance. One hellhound would have a signature of "1", that means every hellhound has that signature too. That is why I dont need to indirectly find every hellhound on earth, since they all have the same signature. Same rule applies to all monsters. It did work with titans, but there is only one of the same titans, one Oceanus, one Krios, etc. Typhon took most of my energy, its like trying to break the Iceberg that made the Titanic crash with a paddle boat.
After a few seconds, I opened my eyes and fell to one knee instantly. Too much energy. I felt a little bit of blood drip from my nose, only to create a droplet flying in the vaccum of space. Cool, odd, but cool. My skin was paler than Hades already, and I may as well die of exhaustion now.
Around me is a mountain of dust. The once-crowd of monsters now looks like something like an anthill of dust.
Only the Titans, giants, and Typhon remain, as well as a few monsters I dont recognize.
When I say a mountain of dust, I literally mean a mountain. It is literally the size of 10 statue of Liberties, and 6 of them wide.
I didnt have enough time to awe, as I realized how drained I was. I was basically already beaten, one swing and I would be done.
The Titans looked in amazement and shock. Typhon, I couldnt tell since he always looks angry.
"How...." said Perses.
"What..." Krios stated.
"You did this?" Oceanus asked, pointing at me.
"Yes...I did it to protect my family." I panted.
"Then you will die here!" All the Titans shouted, frustrated since they were so close to victory, only to be teleported thousands of miles away.
I dropped on both my knees and hung my head, accepting death. I did it. I saved them all. I can be at peace finally. I can see Mom, Paul, and Zoë, as well as all those who died for me. Olympus is safe for now, and it will survive. I look and see the barren grey land of the moon, littered with crators. Beyond the horizon is Gaea, *Earth, floating peacefully. It was a view of many lifetimes.
Oceanus grabbed his spear and charged with everything he had. I closed my eyes, hoping it would be quick and painless. I wonder if this is what Kronos was thinking.
As he charged, I heard a ZAP!
I turn behind me and see..a man with a laser-gun looking thing. Behind him is....a huge army. I stare in shock as I see thousands of soldiers together in white armor with a black omega symbol in the helmet so they can see. I cannot see their faces. Spaceships appear in the air, looking like ships from Star Wars. Oceanus bounces back in pain as he was shot, it did not kill him, but it looked like it hurt. The man who shot him was the commnder of the army, since his armor was golden, unlike the rest of the army.
The man stood in front of the army and shouted.
"FOR LADY CHAOS!!"
The army shouted and charged the Titans and Typhon and whatever else was still there. The titans were startled, but charged as well. The soldiers ignored me and ran past me to fight. I began to question my sanity once again until a portal appeared and Lady Chaos stepped out.
"So convenient, I gotta thank you for making this so much easier." She tells me.
"Wha......" I stutter.
"Remember how I told you I was busy? I was trying to gather up my Chaos Army to reclaim Earth. We expected a Huge battle, but it seems you minimized the damage and we just need to clean it up. You see, you really did save us all. There was so little hope after the inital battle, so little that I was as weak as a primordial." Chaos shuddered."But after your little talk with the gods, people regained their hope, stronger than ever. I was able to use all my power to transport as many soldiers as I could here.
"So what is the Chaos Army?" I ask, still stunned.
"It is a group of individually trained elite soldiers. We are the best of the best, think of us of the SWAT team of the galaxy. We have trillions of members, but due to the vastness of space, we rarely have this many soldiers in one place." She explains.
Suddenly a ship crashes into the ground, I see that the 4 Titans are now a pile of ichor, but Typhon is giving the Army a lot of trouble. None of their weapons can harm him, but he easily slaps ships down and stomps on the soldiers.
Chaos sighs. " I am still not strong enough to kill him, I already used so much power to summon my army."
"I got this." I smile for once and imitate a fist with my hand.
I can feel the water inside Typhon, while not a lot, still some. I smash my fist down, and all the fluids inside Typhon rocket down at sonic speeds, making his whole body explode into dust. I summon some water to drink as well. I notice my armor is cracked from all the fights, as well as I am covered in dust. I have several cuts through my armor, some blood leaking out. My nose is still bleeding from the teleportation. I cannot heal myself due to the fatigue of teleporting to the moon. I mentally facepalm that I used so much power after I teleported. I could barely stand.
"Well done." Chaos says.
"Thanks. " I pant.
"You know, we could use someone like you in my army, you could be a leader of an Army." She suggests.
I think for a moment. "While that sounds really cool, I gotta say no, I cannot just leave my family, and I still have plenty to do." I reply.
"Are you suuuuure?" Chaos asks with swayed hips and a purred voice.
I was really confused, is she trying to seduce me? How does one react when the maker of the universe is trying to seduce you?
"Uhhh.....are you trying to seduce me?" I ask confused.
"Dammit, Aether fell for that one." She whispered.
"But I understand, gotta stick with family. We will meet again soon, but for now goodbye." She says.
Before I can reply, she snaps her fingers and teleports me to the halls that lead to the Olympian Council Room. I walk through the hall, noticing my extreme fatigue. I was so tired. My armor covered in blood, cracked, and dusty. My nose was covered in blotches of blood. Bane was still on my back, and Riptide was on my back as well. I feel like collapsing already, but I walk forward and I hear plenty of talking, and some crying. I slowly make it Inside and I see a statue of....me.
It is a statue of me killing the minotaur, made out of gold. I was amazed at its design. I can also see all the Olympian gods, Thalia, Reyna, Jason, Piper, Hazel, Frank, Leo, and Chiron, all gathered at the statue. They all seemed deepy saddened and some were even crying. *ahem* Thalia* Ahem*Hazel ahem* Piper* ahem* everybody.
It was my funeral, they all thought I was dead. I awkwardly walk in and they dont notice me until I speak up.
"So, who's the funeral for?"
