〖✰ 〗It had already been thirty minutes since he arrived and Eren was bored out of his damn mind. He picked up a drink secretly exiting through the fire exit as he pushed the heavy doors open.

He walked outside hearing the doors close as he reached the back of the school. There was a mini terrace where students would go smoke and vape since there wasn't any cameras that could reach that area.

Eren rested his arms on the bannister's which were covered in peeling black paint. It was quiet no one was around. Only the faint sound of music could be heard. He liked it like that. He just wanted to be by himself just to think for a while.

He let out an airy sigh looking down at the grass while running his fingers through his gelled hair; twirling the ends of his hair around his fingers while his mind trailed onto the thought of her again.

He always wondered what she would be doing whenever it was solely him. Was she by herself letting her mind wonder off like his mind was or—

He took out his phone checking the time before turning it off letting it hang off the end of his fingers tips while he stared at the black and white Polaroid photo of the two of them. He squeezed his eyes shut again hearing his heart increase and thud rapidly through his chest.

All because of the thought of her.

He bit his bottom lip tasting the cherry flavoured beverage he just drank on his soft lips.

He just had the craving urge to see her again.

Just so he could laugh like a child who hasn't experienced nothing but glee in this world.

Just so he could feel like he was in cloud nine and bear no malice. Dismissing from his mind that he was in earth; live and in the flesh for just a moment.

Just so he could stare at her again with his heart so filled with enamour. His eyes so infatuated with the espionage of her, like an artist in content who just finished painting its muse.

The footsteps coming from behind him went unnoticed from how out zoned he was from reality. It was only until the last second he felt another presence causing him to turn around momentarily eye coming into contact with an ash-brown haired male.

He pursed his lips together internally swearing inside his head.

"Damn it, I thought I was going to be by myself," he uttered.

He inhaled a sharp sigh turning to face the fire exit as he started making his way back inside without uttering a word.

"Where are you going?" Jean asked.

"You told me to go," Eren repeated simply with his back towards him.

"I didn't...I just thought that I'd be the only one here," Jean explained.

Eren licked his lips before chewing onto his inner cheek as he made his way towards Jean again leaning on the bannister's with his phone in his hand staring into what looked like nothing ahead of him.

Those quiet seconds which felt like minutes went by with none of them uttering a word to one another.

He just wished that a phone call or someone else coming in here would happen just so it could break the uncomfortable silence that went by.

Jean sighed lightly turning around with his back against the banisters staring up at the constellations in the sky. He side-eyed the phone on Eren's hand eyeing the photo of him and someone that looked like Y/N.

It wasn't someone that looked like Y/N, he knew that it was her.

"Are you and Y/N finally dating?" He asked not really caring how it sounded like coming from his mouth.

Eren shook his head no, putting his phone in the pocket inside his suit.

"I thought you guys would be dating now that you're cool," Jean uttered.

"Cool," Eren repeated scoffing.

"She hated me for a month. I had to beg her to forgive me and she distanced herself from me for another two months on top of that...just in case you were thinking she let me off the hook just like that," Eren said as Jean raised a brow.

"Sooo...why haven't you asked her out?" Jean asked nosily.

Eren paused for a moment before he replied. "I've never asked someone to be my girlfriend before..."

Jean stayed quiet for a moment before he let out a small chuckle watching Eren's cheeks go red.

"Never asked someone to be my girlfriend before," he repeated lowly under his breath while chuckling.

"You can easily get a girl to take off her underwear but you can't ask a girl out?" Jean asked this time staring at him as Eren rolled his eyes and flared his nose.

"It's not like that, that's different. When you like someone...you just...it's like—ah fuck forget it," Eren smacked his teeth.

"It's okay Eren I get it," Jean spoke in a teasing manner.

"And I'm not the same person I was before anymore. I wanna be good person not just some playboy that fucks anyone. Stop bringing up my past." Eren said as Jean went quiet.

"Just tell her how you feel...you like her and she likes yo—"

"How do you know she likes me?" Eren cut Jean off.

"She likes you," Jean uttered.

"But how do you know she—"

"She likes you Eren," Jean cut Eren off.

Eren stayed quiet pursing his lips shut as his fingers trembled. He narrowed his eyes staring at his shaking fingers before he inhaled a deep breath.

"Look, you know how all of this shit works you don't need anyone to hold your hand through this. Stop making this shit any longer than it's supposed to be. Stop acting like you have all the time in the fucking world because you don't. Look at how much you shake just from thinking about it. Just from thinking about her. Just do it. For fuck sake Eren." Jean shook his head while leaning off the banisters.

Jean was right.

He remembered how painfully his heart ached. How his chest closed and blocked his airways just from hearing her say she was moving on.

"Anyways," he cleared his throat. "I'm going back inside," he murmured stuffing his hands in his pockets while walking away.

"Y/N looks more happy when she's with you," Jean said lastly before pushing on the doors of the fire exit as they closed loudly.

Eren kept quiet balling his fists together staring at the veins on his hands. He reached for his phone inside his suit pocket unlocking it with his face ID as he paused for a moment. Before his phone turned off, he clicked on the green message icon with Y/N's contact being the only one in his messages.

Y/N sat outside quietly by herself at the back of venue where the was less people. She sipped on her glass of Moët. It was a bit better now that the music from the hall wasn't blasting loudly in her ears.

She only arrived about thirty minutes ago and she already felt like just wanting to go home because she was so outcasted.

Her phone buzzed loudly in her purse. She took it out viewing Eren's contact on her Home Screen. A smile creeped up her face.

She unlocked her phone with her Face ID going on the green message icon and tapping on Eren's contact seeing what he sent her.

"It's dark." Y/N uttered not being able to see her surroundings as Eren walked ahead of her holding her hand while she held the end of her prom dress with her other hand.

Thank god she decided to not wear heels today.

"We're almost there," he spoke tightening his hand around hers as she stayed close to him in fear of tripping and falling over.

Her eyes trailed on his back as they walked up a few steps which lead to something that looked like somewhat a field.

It was empty.

Nothing but the warm summer flowers that were sprouting through the grass painting the field into a beautiful art piece.

The huge full moon covered by branches beamed directly and solely towards them as if they were in a theatre about to perform a play.

The stars were scattered everywhere as if someone dipped a paintbrush in white paint and splattered it across the midnight onyx sky.

"Woah," she simply uttered staring around the place.

She lifted her dress up to her shin walking around the place eyeing an iron bench near a tree.

"This place is so nice," she smiled slightly.

His silently watched. As she moved around in her gold dress that shimmered.

The harvest moonlight kisses coated her skin a gorgeous transparent white colour.

Every sparkle and crystal coming from her dress glistened like fireflies finding their habitat.

He was madly in love with her.

"You look so beautiful, you're so pretty." He complimented the girl. She paused and stared at him. A shy smile creeping up her face causing the corners of her eyes to crease.

"I tried," she uttered walking up to him.

His fingers shook uncontrollably as he walked past her placing them behind him while staring at the alluring view.

He couldn't look at her for more than two seconds.

He was so shy, so scared.

Her smile dropped into a poker face.

She gazed at his so coy yet sui generis nature letting the end of her dress go as she walked up to him.

Her fingers fit in between his eyeing how much they trembled. She rested her head on his back hearing him murmur words of nothing.

He closed his eyes feeling her fingers entwine with. He felt her head against his back. Her warm breath tickled his spine. Her chest rose up and down so harmoniously while his one raced as if it was going to be his last time alive.

"Y-Y/N I don't...know...how...I feel," Eren stammered.

"Actually I do but—words can't explain how my heart is expressing this," he corrected himself.

"Take your time," she spoke softly closing her eyes feeling his grip on her hand tighten.

"You're just different from everyone else. You're like a maybe in another life type of girl. Or a girl you look forward to dream about whenever you close your eyes. When I'm with you, it's like I forget who I am. I can't look at you without my heart skipping a beat. I can't spend a second away from you without my chest feeling tight. My fingers shake so much whenever I think about you. I just want them to be against your soft skin. You make me shy. Whenever I our eyes meet, you never seem to look away. You just stare at me as if you already know that I'm lovesick by you. I don't know what's wrong with me I'm so crazy over you to the point where I forget how to breathe. You're like paradise on earth. You're the beautiful morning that I wanna wake up with in my arms."

"What I'm trying to say is..." Eren took in a deep breath.

"I love you so so much Y/N,"

She bit her lower lip trembling as she let go of his fingers that were entwined with hers and took a step back.

She stared at him in silence.

Eren didn't move an inch. He just kept his back towards her staring at the beautiful mise en scène.

"Eren can you turn around please," her voice broke quietly.

He turned around almost instantly eyeing the girl who had tears plunging down to her sunken cheeks. The crevice of her eyes became slightly swollen as her eyes glistened. There were so many emotions bubbling up inside of her. This felt so surreal.

One thing she was certain of, was that she loved him just as much as he loved her.

And she wanted to spend the rest of her days with him.

She gently grasped his hands covering them with hers. Her tear drops splattered against his soft skin as she sniffled biting her trembling bottom to lip while taking a deep breath.

"I love you too Eren," she managed to say through her tears and whimpers.

Eren felt his eyes warm up with hot tears as he continuously blinked looking up at the stars. His long lashes wetted and curved.

He extended his arms out as his hand met her wet cheeks. He gradually moved them to the back of her head and leaned his face closer to hers.

She fluttered her eyes shut feeling his lips gently touch hers as he gave her a romantic kiss.

Eren pulled away as his forehead grazed against hers. His warm radiance stuck onto her making her comfy.

This was real.

Eren was real.

His heart thudded from next to her. His soft hands touched her face. His chest raised slowly up and down. Their nose was a hair away from touching one another's. He was right there live in the flesh.

"So then will you be my soulmate?"

She nodded repeatedly wiping her never ending tears.

"Yes I will be your soulmate,"
