Chapter 8 (pt. 2)

"Go on. Insult him... See what will happen..."

The thick atmosphere from Yuri's anger filled the area, making everyone silent and stop the commotion. Rui noticing this tries to calm down Yuri, after a few minutes he was able to calm down Yuri.

"Everyone please settle down now, let us not start a fight" Ubuyashiki said in his calming voice."Yuri calm down... " Rui said calmly as he pats Yuri's head repeatedly until she calmed down."Now that everyone has settled down. Rui and Yuri Ayaki will be our ally from now on until the end of Muzan Kibutsuji" Ubuyashiki announced, surprising the Hashiras.

As the announcement of their unlikely ally surprised everyone despite knowing that that was the reason they were there for, the siblings bow gratefully to the Master and the other Hashiras for becoming and allowing them to be an ally. The night continues and the Hashira leave for their respective missions or to return to their estate, they were told that if ever they were needed by the corps a crow will be sent to them. 

As the siblings were given the chance to explore, Yuri went to Shinobu while dragging her reluctant brother asking if they could come with her to her estate. Shinobu replied with an agreement, the siblings are always welcome to the estate as long as they would help the other girls there and answer questions Shinobu has about them, Yuri agrees while Rui just stands there appreciating that his sister is having fun.

Shinobu and the spider siblings arrive at the butterfly Estate, waiting for Shinobu was a girl with black hair styled in a simple ponytail to the side with a butterfly pin. The girl upon seeing the demons behind Shinobu, clutches her sword prepared to fight when Shinobu explains the alliance they have formed with the spider siblings.

"I do hope you get along with each other, feel free to explore while I prepare" Shinobu said before inviting the siblings to explore her estate."Thank you very much, Ms. Shinobu" The siblings thanked her with a bow.

As the siblings rise from there bow, they find the girl no longer in front of them. They explore the estate and find Tanjiro and his friends in the garden, Tanjiro notices them and greets them.

"Hello, it's nice to see you again!" Tanjiro said while waving his hand to them."Hi, same for you-" Yuri replies with glee before being cut offed."Gyaaaaahhh!! It's those demons again!!" The brown eyed boy shrieked."Ah!!" Yuri screams from surprises and accidentally wraps the screaming boys head."MMMMM!!!?" The muffled screams of the brown eyed boy as he panics."A-apologizes, I get suprised by loud noises when I least expect it!" Yuri replies as she removes the threads from the boys head.

As Yuri attempts to remove her threads from the boy as Tanjiro holds down his panicking friend, Rui watches on as he laughs from the events he just witnessed. Once everything settled down, Tanjiro explained the alliance they have with the siblings, not before Yuri apologized multiple times for what she did.

"A-ah, w-well then... I'm Zenitsu Agatsuma" Zenitsu introduced himself and continued with a shaky scared voice "U-upperm-moon 0 and her brother..."."Hello, Zenitsu. I am Yuri Ayaki and..." Yuri introduced herself then nudges her brother."Rui..." Rui begrudgingly replies."Zentisu, there's no need to afraid..." Tanjiro re assures his friend and faced the siblings "Why are you here in Shinobu's Estate, Yuri, Rui?"."I/she wanted to visit the place!" The siblings said in unison."Not only that, Ms. Shinobu wanted to talk to us about something" Yuri continued.

As she said that a girl appears, accompanied by a person wearing a boar head.

"I-Inosuke!! You can't have anymore!" The girl in pigtails shouts."Then fight me and I'll listen!!" The Boar head person shouts back."Inosuke, leave Aoi alone! She's already doing so much for us" Tanjiro said as he tries to drag Inosuke away from Aoi."Thank you, Tanjiro. Are you the Ayaki siblings?" Aoi then faces the siblings."Yes" Rui replied coldly."Hm,  Ms. Shinobu asked me to call you, follow me please" Aoi said as she leads the siblings to Shinobu's study.

They head into the estate and walk their way into Shinobu's study. As they do so Rui would feel someone was watching them, as he look around he saw 3 little girls that immediately scurried away when they noticed they were seen. They arrive and Aoi knocks on the door."Ms. Shinobu, the siblings are here now... You can enter now" Aoi said before walking away.

They enter the room to find Shinobu waiting for them in the room, and gestures for them to come in. They walk in and were given seats by Shinobu before they started their conversation."Again, Thank you very much for agreeing to this" Shinobu said with a smile."It is alright, I just want to prove that me and brother can be trusted!" Yuri replied with a confident smile."I see, then I'll start to ask questions, alright?" Shinobu asked."Go ahead!" Yuri replied readily."Your webs are similar but are vastly different, care to elaborate?" Shinobu asks her question."Our special threads are very different not only in color but purpose as well. My Red threads act as offense, but can be easily delt with by powerful slayer like hashiras" Rui explains in a serios tone."While my Blue threads act as defense, like a powerful shield! But there is a way to peirce through it, doing slow movements can pass through my webs but once tension is added it hardens and becomes hard, able to block most external attacks!" Yuri continues."I see" Shinobu replies.

"Why did you develop your thread that way?" Shinobu asks with a curios "look."I developed my threads that way, to protect my sister as that is the sole reason why I decided to accept the 'medication 'Mast-... Muzan promised me" Rui replied a bit upset and irritated."To protect brother! And I was never fond of harming others..."  Yuri continues a bit serious.

"For Yuri, why did Muzan appoint you as Uppermoon 0? Are you something special?" Shinobu curiously asked."Honestly... I'm not sure myself. From the first time Muzan called the lowermoons, when I was a rank lower than brother. He singled me out of all the lowermoons and called me forward... He then injected me with more of his blood... It was agonizing... at the moment I didn't want to live" Yuri explains a bit scared while gripping her left arm until it bled a little."Yuri... stop for a while and breathe..." Rui worriedly said to his sister."I... I am fine... W-when he saw I had survived, he continued to do it every few moon for the past 5 years... until I was an Uppermoon..." Yuri continued tearing up a bit."Yuri, come here... don't cry anymore, brother is here to protect you..." Rui comfortingly spoke as he hugged and lulled her sister.

As Rui calms and lulls Yuri, but she ultimately faints from the overwhelming emotions . Shinobu suggest that they stop for now. She guides Rui where he can place his sister for a comfortable lay down until she wakes up, Tanjiro visits the room to talk with them.

"Um... So, Yuri... is your biological sister?" Tanjiro awkwardly asks trying to start a conversation."Yes" Rui coldly replies."Then can I ask, why were you forcing other demons to be a family with you... when you have your sister?" Tanjiro asks in a careful manner."When our parents had learned of what we became of they tried to..." Rui replied with a hint of sadness before stopping and continuing "Why are you asking? Its not like you can change what had happen already..."."I may not be able to change the past, but I can help you deal with the emotions... I can smell grief and sorrow coming from you when you talked about your family..." Tanjiro replied in a calm manner."..." "They tried to... kill us... They started with me but before they could do anything... I attacked them in self defense... I... I thought they didn't love me and I got angry at them...  !!" Rui rants about his past before realizing what he's been doing."Go on, it good to let it ou-" Tanjiro re assures Rui to continue but was cut offed."I don't know how you did that but it wont be happening anymore... get out" Rui coldly tells him."Oh... Sure, just remember that it's good to let it-" Tanjiro agrees and as he arrives outside the room Rui slams the door with his threads.

As the sun is about to rise, Yuri rises in panic and look around confused as to where she is and notices Rui waiting beside her playing with his threads. When he notices Yuri he asks if she's okay, and tells her that she fainted from recollecting horrible memories. Yuri fixes herself up and they head out of the room, they roam around the estate and find Shinobu tending to another injured slayer. Shinobu finishes tending to the panicked slayer and leaves to check on Yuri and Rui.

"Well hello"  Shinobu greets them with her usual smile."Thank you, Ms. Shinobu" The siblings thanked the woman."Ms. Shinobu we'll be taking our leave, the sun is rising and I'm afraid staying in a single location can be dangerous for us and you slayer" Rui explains."That is reasonable, but I'd like you to do it tomorrow night" Shinobu replies with her own request."Do you still need us for some questions?" Yuri asks still not feeling well."I'd like to take a sample of Yuri's blood" Shinobu explains."Why for?" Rui asks in a serious manner while in a protective stance."Simple, her blood may be fruitful to a stronger poison I'd like to make" Shinobu said while wearing her haori."O-okay..." Yuri agreed still recovering.

The siblings wander around after Shinobu got her sample of Yuri's blood. As the sun slowly sets, Tanjiro and his friends sets off to go on a mission to investigate The Mugen Train. As they were about to leave Tanjiro spots Yuri underneath the estate protected from the sun say something that confused him.

"Be careful! Don't fall deeper into your dreams... Stay vigilant! And stay safe!"
