Chapter 7

"you have broken your curse and created your own demon... Can you break ours?"

There was a bit of silence when Yuri had asked for Tamayo to free her and Rui from Muzan's curse. The faces of every demon in the room was different, Yuri was serious and was keen on freeing herself and Rui. Tamayo was shocked as one of the strongest and mysterious member of the moons was asking her for a cure. Yushiro was on guard as he couldn't trust Yuri and what her intention was. As for Rui, he was shocked as her sister was going to leave their master's side.

"Break Muzan's curse?" Tamayo worriedly remarks.'Yuri... What are you doing? If master catches on...' Rui thought with a worried look on his face."Yes, Is it possible?" Yuri asked."..." Tamayo stayed silent thinking."Lady Tamayo, are you really going to trust these servants of Muzan?" Yushiro asked angrily with a hint of worry."Hey! Don't call us his Servants!-" Yuri loudly says with a bit of anger before clearing her voice and continuing "Mhm!- If I was working with him I wouldn't have knocked on the door, and started this conversation, instead I would have eliminated you so called "traitors" since I am uppermoon 0"."Yushiro, this girl is right. She could have killed us at any moment but instead is asking for a cure to free herself from Muzan..." Tamayo re-iterates."Yuri is!- ..." Rui speaks out only to hesitate and just listens to the conversation."Brother, what were you going to say?" Yuri asked Rui kind of worried."I-It is nothing..." Rui quietly says to Yuri."I might be able to to make a cure using my own blood, so it might be possible to make a cure for you 2" Tamayo said agreeing to the request."Thank you very much, Lady Tamayo, for helping us!" Yuri said bowing.

Tamayo stands up as she heads to make the cure she tells Yushiro to stay with Yuri and Rui while she makes the cure. Yushiro stands near the door Tamayo is still on guard not fully trusting the siblings, while the siblings have a chat. 

"What were you gonna say a while ago, brother?" Yuri asked while playing with her threads."It is nothing special, but why are you betraying Master?" Rui worriedly asked Yuri."So we don't have to worry about him anymore..." Yuri explains vaguely."Worry about him? Master's only like that because we are weak... I am weak" Rui said upset."Brother, you aren't weak! You are the most strongest person I know!" Yuri upset said loudly."Please refrain from screaming... As to not distract her lady..." Yushiro butted in a bit angry."Ah... sorry. We'll try to keep it down" Yuri said a bit embarrassed.

"Yuri, you always get in trouble because of my weakness..." Rui said looking away."He is just a mean man who's using you... manipulated you from the very beginning" Yuri explains."Master gave me a body that can protect you, but despite that you who was born strong is stronger and still protects me..." Rui said with a upset expression."He uses you as a tool to force me to do horrible things... He isn't the savior you make him... out to... be..." Yuri unexpectedly says hesitating to say more. 

As the 2 continued, they hear the voice of Muzan speaking to them shocking them both. As Muzan realizes where they are, he orders the both to kill Tamayo and her demon. But Yuri stood against Muzan, refusing to harm Tamayo and Yushiro, as well as encouraging her brother to defy Muzan.

"What's wrong with you 2 now?" Yushiro noticing the siblings shocked expression."No, We are not going to harm them!" Yuri speaking to Muzan.'You will do as I say, I am your master' Muzan said with a hint of anger towards the siblings."Brother, don't follow his orders!" Yuri said to Rui."I-I..." Rui hesitant to help booth sides.'Yuri... You have no choice in the matter. Do as I say or your brother...' Muzan said before his brother collapsed blood dripping from his mouth."Hey! What's going on- ?!" Yushiro spoke loudly but not being heard by the siblings."Brother!! You Bakayarou!!!" Yuri shouts cursing Muzan."Kill them or your dear brother dies" Muzan brazenly said.

Yuri gritted her teeth, as she summons her webs and wraps them around Yushiro tossing him outside. This shocks Yushiro but understood that Muzan had something to do with this and engages his battle with Yuri, as he fights Yuri her threads pass by him, he suddenly hears whispers from Yuri's thread apologizing repeatedly though he knew she was genuine it irritated him a bit. Rui managed to crawl near the door Tamayo was in and waited in pain for her.

As Tamayo worked on the cure she could hear the happy conversations of the siblings turn into an argument and then turned to fear. When suddenly she hears a window braking, the sound of someone coughing out liquids, and the fight outside. She continues to make a cure despite the worrying sounds of the fight and the coughing out of liquids coming near her door, she manages to make the cure though not sure if it will even work but determined to try  it anyway.

She open the door to find Rui sitting resting his back on the wall coughing out blood, with out delay she slowly injected the cure into Rui. It took a while for the cure to set in but once it did Rui passed out and stopped coughing out blood. She then goes outside to see Yuri and Yushiro fighting, but assess the situation as Yushiro notices her and tells her to stay inside.

"Lady Tamayo, please stay inside, Muzan has something to with this!!" Yushiro shouts as he dodges an attack from Yuri.'Yuri... despite you being an unknown uppermoon, you have the capability to decimate this whole entire place to the ground. And yet you are going easy on Yushiro, a demon extremely weaker then you... an uppermoon not set on being stronger, who are you Yuri?' Tamayo thought as she gets entangled by Yuri's thread and thrown to a near by tree."Lady Tamayo!!" Yushiro shouts before being hit by Yuri's thread that has formed a ball to the same direction.

As Yuri is about to attack, a sudden wall of beautiful floral pattern surrounds Yuri hindering her to see where the 2 demon are, before she felt a needle strike her back as Tamayo hastily injected the cure into Yuri and for a few minutes just stood where she was before collapsing.

Yuri wakes up confused and dazed as to what happened, she tries to stand up but crashes back down as pain flooded her body. Hearing the thud Rui rushes to see his sister crouched trembling in pain, seeing this he rushes to her aid telling her to lay back down before rushing to get Tamayo.

"Stay put and don't move much, I'll call Ms. Tamayo to check on you" Rui worriedly said."Br-brother... Okay..." Yuri said while laying down as Rui leaves her. 'What happened... Brother and I were talking, then he told us  to do something... what was it? Ah! It was to discard of Ms. Tamayo and Yushiro, but they were able to give me the cure... Wow, why didn't I forget about that, why did I remember that but not my time as a human...' Yuri thought.

"Yuri, I'm here now with Ms. Tamayo" Rui said before opening the door."Hello, Ms. Tamayo..." Yuri greeted Tamayo."Good morning, Yuri. How do you feel after waking up?" Tamayo greeted Yuri."My body is in agony!! B-but... despite that there seems to be nothing wrong with me..." Yuri replied."That might be partially because I injected the cure hastily, directly to your nervous system. Your body must have gotten quite a shock as it re-adjusted your cells" Tamayo explained."Ah... that is great... " Yuri said."But I am certain it works, as your brother here seems to be free from Muzan's curse, though since you have the most enormous and potent amount of Muzan's blood it might take a while". Tamayo explained."O-oh... s-sure, I can handle it..." Yuri said lying about being able to handle the pain." And speaking of your blood, if it isn't too much of a problem I took a vile of your blood in you sleep for re-search purposes and for someone I had a promise"  Tamayo spoke of something she had did."It's fine... I'm rooting for him as well!" Yuri said with a smile before realizing what she said."Oh, you know of him?" Tamayo asked a bit shocked."Who's this someone and how do you know him Yuri?" Rui asked."He is a slayer wearing Hanafuda earrings, and is always carrying a box containing something special to him, his sister who has turned into a demon but still has their humanity" Tamayo described this person she spoke of."Ah! The brat who wouldn't give me his sister" Rui said as he pounded a fist to his other hand."Y-yes... Brother, him. It was only a speculation because... uh... as Ms. Tamayo said she had her humanity" Yuri said lying about the topic.

"Back to the topic, Yuri it seems your adapting quite well to the cure. From my estimation it might take you a whole month for the cure to fully set in, for better results I'll inject more of the cure in you once a week" Tamayo explained to Yuri."A-alright... Thank you for helping us Ms. Tamayo" Yuri spoke already exhausted from the pain."Thank you, as well" Rui said with a bow."Your welcome, now please focus on just recovering. Good bye." Tamayo spoke before leaving the room the siblings are in.

There was a bit of silence for a few minutes before Yuri spoke.

"Brother... Ms. Tamayo, has the same aura as mother... our real mother" Yuri blurted."Yeah... It a shame we don't remember much about Father and mother..." Rui a bit sad said."...""..."

"You know... this reminds me of u-us when we were humans... you were always bedridden like I am right now..." Yuri said in a joking matter to lighten the atmosphere."Heh, yeah... Then that means it's my turn to take on your role" Rui said with a smile.

As the days go by, Yuri and Rui would do what they usually did when they were human. Play together, Rui would read books to Yuri, Rui would help Yuri take her blood, etc. to make Yuri's recovery less painful than it already is. As a month passes by Yuri felt that her connection to Muzan finally severed, as she regains her strength after being in pain for almost a month.

"Oh my! I feel light as a feather after all that!" Yuri ecstatically said."It's good to see that you're doing fine, Yuri. How's your connection to Muzan?" Tamayo asked."I can't sense anymore connection to him but just incase, I'll wait a week before saying his name" Yuri answered."That's great to hear" Tamayo said."M... Ms. Tamayo, I apologize for not taking precaution when coming here. I have endangered your life because of my inability to predict what would happen to you..." Yuri apologized while bowing."It is alright, there was damage to the property but neither me or Yushiro were hurt to badly. Beside you may act mature but deep down you are still the child that was turned into a demon by Muzan, you're still bound to make mistakes even if you've lived for a long time" Tamayo said."M-may I hug you Ms. Tamayo? You just remind me of my mother a bit... and I miss her..." Yuri shyly asked.

Tamayo hearing this agreed and Yuri came up to her and hugged her which Tamayo wraps her arm around Yuri as well, making Yuri sob a bit in the embrace that reminded her of her mother. Yushiro enters to tell Tamayo something while Rui follows him berating him for insulting his sister, when Yushiro sees the 2 hugging he got angry but notices Yuri crying and looks away and hushes Rui.

"D-don't touch me!" Rui said smacking Yushiro's hand away."Look and stay quiet" Yushiro said softly and pointed to the room.

Rui looks into the room and sees the 2.

"I've never seen Yuri cry like that before... So I think we should leave them be for a moment" Rui said before walking away.

Yuri and Rui were in conversing with each other when she hears something coming from the thread she had given to Tanjiro. It was a discussion between Tanjiro and Tomioka, the Water Hashira, the topic of their discussion was the night Tanjiro had unknowingly chatted with Yuri. With the help of Tomioka he was able to get an audience with the Master of the corps.

"I wish you good health, Master" Tomioka and  Tanjiro said bowing their heads in respect."Raise your head my children, I've received your letter about your concerns. I would like to hear it in person for a more clearer version, if it isn't a problem, Tanjiro" The Master requested softly."On my first night stay in Ms. Shinobu's Estate a voice spoke to me wanting to have an audience with you, they didn't disclose their identity but their voice didn't give a hint of malicious intent, but that may only be my speculation, Master" Tanjiro exlpained."And the only thing you need to do is unravel the thread around your wrist?" The Master asked."Yes, Master. This mysterious voice might belong to a demon, especially that female demon in Mt. Natagumo, the blue hue of the thread resembles that of hers" Tomioka replied."Hm... Why would a demon want an audience with me?" The Master said to himself.

"In the evening I shall meet with them" The Master gave his answer to the 2 with him."Master what if the demon tries to harm you?" Tomioka asked."I'll call the other hashiras to be present if it quells your worry, Giyu" The Master replied calling the slayer by his first name, and continues "Though it will be presented as a Hashira meeting before revealing this information instead, as to not provoke the others"."Thank you, Master" Tanjiro and Giyu said bowing.

As the Master announces for an unexpected Hashira Meeting, nearing evening all the Hashira have arrived some noticing Giyu tensing up.

"Oh my, Tomioka this isn't like you" Shinobu said to Giyu."Just wait for the Master, Kocho" Giyu replied looking away."There really must be something wrong with Tomioka if he's like this" The man with a snake said."Why is the brat also here again?" A man with scars all over his body said angrily."The Master is here" A woman announced as the Hashiras and Tanjiro bowed.

"Please rise my children" The Master said and continued "Now to the reason why I have called you over".

"But Master what your doing is very dangerous!" Kanroji worriedly said."I don't mean to judge your decision but you will be revealing the location of your estate!" Shinobu said."I'm very sorry to worry you my children, but I would like to meet this very unique demon. So please prepare yourself" The Master apologized.

The Hashiras pull out their swords as the Master told Tanjiro to untie the thread, as Tanjiro unties the thread it falls to the ground. Their was a moment of silence before a jingle of a bell could be heard as the Hashiras look up, they see 2 figures standing on the top of the estate.

"Hello Master of the corps. sorry for the intrusion"
