...Twenty two

"So you're not going to be a grumpy bitch towards us anymore now, Tay?" Cara asks, smiling at the blonde. Were sitting at a restaurant close to Tanody forest, where we have destroyed the crown a few hours before.

"Well hopefully. I don't really feel.. like a huge difference yet." Taylor says, taking a sip of her wine. The four of us had decided to celebrate our completed and succeeded mission.

Selena shoots Taylor an apologetic look. 

"It comes back in little phases Taylor." She says. "No worries, you should be fine in no time."


Taylor flashes Selena a small smile, which is returned immediately. I did notice change in Taylor's behaviour immediately and have noticed already that the girl is feeling better than before. Its like a little piece of Taylor crawls back into her own body every second now.

"You're already doing way better, baby." I say, taking the blonde's hand in mine and stroking the back of it with my thumb. "Look, you're not attacking me."

Taylor's smile grows wider then. "Yeah, thats true, baby." She says softly. I giggle, glad to have my girlfriend back. Finally, after 5 whole years.

"Wow, that waitress is hot as fuck." Cara says, pointing at one of the many waitresses walking around in the small restaurant. I giggle and don't even turn around to see who the vampire is pointing at, knowing she finds almost every human being attractive.


"Hey!" Selena says, slapping Cara's arm. 

"What?" Cara says, rubbing her arm with a smile on her face. "I can look. Im only looking. Come on, you can see that she's hot. I was only observ-"


"Yeah, yeah." Selena says with a smile on her face. I quickly share some eye contact with Taylor, who nods in their direction, probably wanting me to ask about them.

"Sooo..." I say, dragging the word out while trying to start the conversation. "What is going on between the two of you?" I ask quickly, looking at both Cara and Selena at the same time. The two of them stare at me with big eyes and remain quiet for a while before Cara stutters: "Well.. we.. we.. ehmm.. we.."


Selena takes Cara's hand in hers then. "Were together." She says, a grin on her face as she does so. "For a while now actually."

"How long?" Taylor gasps enthusiastically a smile matching Selena's on her face. Cara turns bright red and it looks like she wants to sink through the ground and disappear from the conversation.



"Five months." Selena says, that same big smile still on her face.

"What?!" Taylor and I say at the same time. "No way."



"Well, we didn't really wanna tell you guys since you were all like sad and stuff so well we kinda kept it a secret and this one here didn't want to tell anyone either yet." Selena points at Cara, who's cheeks are as red as the reddest tomato on earth.


"Why didn't you wanna tell me?" Taylor says, leaning over the table to punch the vampire's arm.

"I don't know.." Cara says, not looking us in the eye. "Its just that.. its kind of a scandal in like the whole vampire community when you are a match with a werewolf and so I-"

"WOAH WHAT?!" Taylor exclaims. "You're matches?!"

Selena laughs nervously and Cara looks like she has just stopped breathing. "Shhh!" She manages to get out of her mouth. "Not so loud you dumbass."


"How did you find out?" I ask, amused by the situation and somehow already expecting it. Cara takes a big gulp of her wine and puts the glass back down on the table forcefully. Taylor on the other hand, lifts her glass of the table with delicacy and takes a sip before gracefully placing it back on the table. I take a sip of my own glass of water and watch all the women carefully.

"Well.." Selena starts. "Ehmm.. she.. she bit me and.." She points to Cara. "Well ehm.. normally when a vampire bites a wolf, they don't turn into one but wel.. I.. I did.. kinda.."

"NO WAY!?" Taylor exclaims, and I just stare at the pair in front of us with my mouth open. "So you're like.." Taylor starts, lowering her voice. "Half wolf and half vampire now?"



"Yes. How cool is that right?" Selena says, reaching out for Taylor's hands and squeezing them. Taylor smiles widely at the pair and so do I.


"Im really happy for you guys." She says. 

"Me too." I say. "You deserve it."


Cara smiles nervously and Selena grabs her hand and smiles at her. "See.." She says to her match. "I knew they would take it well." 



"Why wouldn't we, Cara?" I ask curiously, watching the vampire.


"I.. I was just nervous.. to tell you guys or like.. anyone." She admits. "But thanks for your nice reactions."

We sit and talk for a few more minutes before one of the waitresses appears with their food. "Look, its her. She's super hot." Cara whispers to her match, loud enough for us to hear it too. This time Taylor and I both turn our heads a bit so that we can see who Cara is talking about. I gasp when I see two familiar looking eyes. 

"Shit." Taylor gasps while quickly turning her head and looking at me. I look into Taylor's eyes, from which anger spews. 



"Two spaghetti's." The waitress says. Cara and I both ordered spaghetti and so I know I have to turn my head towards her to receive it. "Yeah for me please." I mumble.

"There you g- OH my god." The waitress gasps, almost dropping the two other plates. "K- Karlie what are you.. oh.. Taylor.. oh.. this.. this.. this is awkward." She says, her face turning bright red. She hands the other two plates with lasagna over to Taylor and Selena and just stands there, staring at me and Taylor and also seeming to stare at the bruises in my neck.

"Toni.." I say. "I think its better if you ehmm.."


"Oh, yeah of course. I.. ehm.. yeah.." She turns our back towards us before turning around rather quickly again. "Listen, I never meant to ehm, hurt you guys and im really sorry that all of that happened. I hope were okay?" Toni looks mostly at me but Taylor places her fork on the table with a loud, scratching sound. "Oh yes, we are just fine!" She says loudly. I take her hand and squeeze it a little. Toni watches her with wide eyes, all the confidence that I remember her having, completely gone.

"Its okay Toni, now please.."


"Yeah I guess ill.. ehmm.. go. Bye." She stutters quickly before disappearing from our sights.


Taylor lets out a deep breath and so do I. I think we both expected to never meet that girl again.

"What the hell was that?" Cara asks, a mouth full of spaghetti. 

"Was that.." Selena starts but she is interrupted by a very furious looking Taylor.

"Toni Garnn." The blonde wolf-girl says. "The classic werewolf that tried to get Karlie to have sex with her and kill the both of us right after." I look around quickly to see if anyone has heard her, since her voice is pretty loud right now.


"Oh. Her." Selena replies simply, nodding in understanding and starting to eat her food.


"She didn't want to have sex with me." I say in defence, looking at Taylor with wide eyes. "How would you even know that?"

"Karlie, the girl is practically eyefucking you." Cara says, pointing towards the bar area of the restaurant, where Toni is still staring at her with those blue, non shining eyes. 'How was I ever supposed to find out this girl was a fucking classic werewolf.' She thinks. The green eyed woman remembers how scary and red those damn eyes looked when Toni was in her wolf form.

"Oh come on.." I say, looking back at the group. Taylor just stares at me, one eyebrow raised.

"She tried it with me too, Karls." She says drily. "I know what she tried to do that night."

"Fine.." I reply. "Just don't think I knew that in that moment.. I would've never done anything like tha-"

"I know." Taylor says, a bit more relaxed now as she lets go of my hand and flashes me a small smile. "Now lets just enjoy dinner." She says, bringing a fork full of food to her mouth. We all agree and eat our dinner while having some light conversation. I keep an eye on her the whole night though, not wanting her close to us. She seems to get it as she keeps her distance and flashes me a nervous smile whenever I look over at the bar. I don't want anything to do with this girl.. or well woman anymore.

"Did you enjoy dinner?" I ask the blonde next to me. Were sitting in my truck and the moonlight is the only thing that makes sure we see a bit of each other's face.


"I did." She says, turning around to face me and smiling. "Did you?"

"Yes." I say, smiling back at her. I look at her lips and I want to kiss them so badly but I don't know if its too soon for her. She sees my inner struggle and places a hand on my cheek. "Lets get into our hotel room." She says, that smile still on her face as she leans in to kiss my cheek.


I smile widely and grab our bags. We both get out of the car and make our way over to the entrance of this middle priced hotel that we found close to the restaurant. It does look kind of sketchy but it was the best we could find at this time of night. Taylor takes my hand in hers and we make our way to the entrance like that.

An engine roars suddenly and we both turn around to see who or what is making this loud noise. A black motorcycle is standing close to us, the engine still on. The driver has a helmet on, so we both cant see who is sitting on there. We focus our attention on getting into the hotel again then and walk towards the entrance, looking away from the motorcycle.

It roars loudly again however and starts driving towards us in a fast pace. It doesn't look like the driver is going to make any attempt to stop the vehicle and we just stand there, looking at it, like two dears in the headlights of a car.



"Fuck.." Taylor mumbles then. "Karlie!" She shouts in panic, pushing me away and off of the road. I fall onto the ground, my sore neck hurting me in the proces and look how the headlights of the motorcycle start lighting up Taylor more and more, who is now running towards me. The roaring vehicle so close to her now. I jump up and grab the blonde's arm to pull her towards me, out of the motorcycle's reach. The vehicle's tires screech then from braking hard enough to not drive straight into the hotel.


I growl loudly. I don't really know why, probably out of anger and I start beginning to wilden. I know I cant shift here, in the middle of civilisation, but I almost am.


"Show yourself!" Taylor shouts, panting. 

I run towards the biker, who is just sitting there on their bike, staring at us. "You little fucker, come here and ill rip your fucking head off!" I shout as I make my way over there. The engine roars once more and the black motorcycle takes off and disappears into the darkness.

"Fucking DICK!" I shout loudly, making an old couple look up at me strangly. I shoot them as much as an apologetic look as I can and make my way back to Taylor. Who is still staring into the direction the motorbike has just driven to.


"What the hell was that?" She asks. "That person wanted to kill us, for sure."

"I have no idea who that was," I say, breathing heavily when reaching the blonde. "But next time I see that motherfucking bike.. Ill kill that person painfully and slo-"


"Okay, okay. I get the point." Taylor says, taking my hand in hers and grabbing the bags from the ground with the other hand. "Lets just go to our room now? Please?"



"Yeah." I nod. We walk into the hotel, receive our keys and make our way to our room for the night. Cara and Selena must already have a room since they weren't in the hotel lobby anymore. When we get in our room, we practically dive in bed and stare at one another for a while, both seeming to be uncertain what to do and still thinking about our weird encounter with that stupid motorcycle.

My eyes shoot down to her pink lips, hovering there for a while before looking back into her blue, shining orbs.


"Tay, is it okay if I.. ehmm.. if we-" I stutter before she interrupts me.



"Karlie, kiss me."


I take her face in both of my hands and lean forward until our lips connect. It feels amazing, special, magical even, her lips on mine. She moans softly when I roughly move on top of her, not able to contain myself. It had been so long since we had shared a kiss like this. Her hands get lost in my hair while our tongues passionately move together like they belonged together. Which theoretically, they do.

"Hmm.. Karls.." Taylor moans softly when I nibble on her earlobe and place one leg in between hers. I move down to her neck and move my tongue over her skin before starting to bite and suck on her white skin. A loud moan escapes her mouth this time and her hands move down to my behind which she squeezes with both her hands. She then moves her hands up again, underneath my t-shirt this time. I hum against her neck as her cold fingers trace the lines of my back. My lips move back to hers then and our passionate make out session continues.

After a long while and a lot of shared kisses, we lay down closely next to each other. We both know we cant take it any further than this, not yet at least, and so were patient. "Ive missed your lips on mine." I say, smiling at her while brushing a strand of hair out of her face.

"Me too." She says, a huge grin on her face as she lays there, on her side, watching me with those very blue eyes. She traces the painful bruises on my neck with her cold fingers and it somehow brings some relief.


"Im glad you're finally here, Tay." I whisper then, kissing her forehead. She snuggles even closer towards me and holds onto me.

"Im glad to be here." She says.

'Gosh, I love you so much, Taylor Swift.' I think to myself as my eyes are starting to close, exhaustion finally kicking in.

"I love you too, Karlie Kloss." Taylor whispers sleepily.

'Wait what?!'

My eyes shoot open immediately. "Taylor, can you read my thoughts again?" I ask, my voice filled with hope and excitement. 



She giggles, her voice filled with sleep. "I have been already, all day." She says. I can hear that she is smiling and so a large grin appears on my face too.



"Does that mean that were.." I start hopefully.


"Were matches again, Karls." She replies, kissing my neck sofly.



"Oh my god." I exclaim. "Oh my god!"

She giggles even more and leans backwards slightly before giving me small kisses all over my face. "Matchy. Matchy. Matchy." She giggles in between the pecks she's giving.

"Finally." I sigh happily.


"Finally." She says, leaving one last kiss on my nose as she lays her head on the pillow again, closely snuggled against me. I pull her even closer and kiss the top of her head one last time before drifting to sleep with a dumb grin still plastered on my face.

"How long is the drive still?"

"Taylor.." I sigh, a smile on my face however. "I told you its like an hour away."

"Gosh, I cant believe that were almost back home." She says, a smile on her face too. "Are you going to work at the Mc Donalds again?" She asks, giggling.


"You think you're funny huh?" I say. "I think im fired by now but yeah, if they still want me.. I need money Tay."

"I know, I was only joking." She says, squeezing my thigh. "By the way, are Cara and Sel staying with us in town for a while too?"


"I think so yeah. I mean they can crash in my house." I reply, focussing on the road as my eyes are growing quite tired.


"Ughh.." Taylor groans. "That means barely any alone time for us." 

I laugh at that, looking at the serious expression on her face. "Well there is always your cabin." I say smugly, grinning at the girl.

"I like your way of thinking, Klossy." Taylor says, running her hand up my thigh playfully.

"Tay!" I gasp and she laughs loudly. God, had I missed this Taylor. Not sexual Taylor I mean. Well.. also.. but I mean laughing and smiling Taylor. She had been so, so, so happy these last days in comparison to before we destroyed that damn crown. I have never seen her smile this much or hear her laugh sound through my truck this often. Its a delight really.


She kisses my cheek then and leans against the car window, staring at the road. The past couple of nights in the hotel had been full of kisses and cuddles and gosh do I like those. "Im so glad you're yourself again." I say. "You seem so happy."

"I am." She replies, looking at me again while brushing a strain of her curly, long, blonde hair behind her ear. "I missed being able to be so happy with you and around you." She says. "Im glad that everything is okay now."

"Me too." I say, taking her hand in mine while still keeping the other one on the steering wheel.

 Its not too much later when we finally reach my apartment. I park the truck in the street and see that Cara does the same. We get out of the cars and grab our bags. Theres a happy atmosphere around us all, of course because were all happy and relieved to be home, all of the trouble finally behind us. 

"Home sweet home." Taylor says as she passes me and presses a quick peck on my cheek. I smile and drop the bags on the floor. Cara and Selena soon follow behind us and drop their stuff next to the couch, where they're gonna have to sleep for the night. Its around 11pm and so everyone seems pretty tired. 


"Think were just gonna crash now." Cara says, yawning loudly right after. 

"Yeah, were gonna go to sleep too." I say, standing next to Taylor with my arm around the blonde.

"Don't be too loud." The vampire jokes, laughing at herself.


"Says the loudest moaner in the house." Taylor comments drily, making Cara's face look similar to the color of a tomato again.


"Well.. night guys." Selena says, giggling softly while playfully pushing her match away.

"Night." Taylor and I both reply while making our way up the stairs.

We both fall asleep pretty soon. Well.. after making out for about an hour or something and me stroking Taylor's back for about ten more minutes before the girl finally does fall asleep. I fall asleep too, finally relaxing. These last couple of days have been good but exhausting. Its the nicest feeling to just lay here with Taylor, at home and completely safe.


I dream of nice things like sunshiny Taylor, good food, cute animals and what not. What I don't dream of however, is the danger that is on its way to Wadeson, threatening to arrive pretty soon.

I really hope you guys liked this? Its a tiny bit shorter than the other chapters but I thought it was pretty okay this way. Sorry it took me a while again. Ive got exams coming up and this huge presentation to get into my head and some private stuff as well. Hope you guys enjoyed this chapter anyway.
