...Five

00:03, 10 November 2015

I was walking back home through the creepy forrest. Taylor and I had trained for about three weeks now and I was getting better and better in controlling my wildenings. Also I learned a lot about wolf habits and things like that. Taylor was a great teacher, plus she was really sweet.. and pretty.. and just so nice. I am glad I met her, I really am. I smiled at the thought of the blonde girl and felt my cheeks turn red.

I was quickly making my way trough the woods, when I heard a cracking sound right behind me. I turned around quickly.

"Taylor?"

There was no answer of course. As if she would answer.

"Taylor. You have to stop doing this. You're creeping the fuck out of me." I said, looking around me, shining with my phone into the darkness. A dark shadow moved behind a tree.

"Taylor. Just stop." I said, my voice shaking more than I expected. The shadow moved from behind the tree and stepped towards me. It had a black hood on so I couldn't see the face of the person underneath it.

"What are you doing here? Pretty girl?" The person said.

Okay this is definitely not Taylor.

"And why do you know Taylor?" The deep voice asked, walking closer to me.

"Im.. Im.. just gonna go." I stuttered while turning around and walking away quickly.

"You're not." The deep voice growled.

I started running then, my body completely overtaken by panic. I heard quick footsteps behind me, making my mind panic even more.

"Fuck." I mumbled while running away quickly, not looking behind me. I then felt a strong grip on my shoulder.

"What do you want?!" I shouted at the person. But he remained silent and pulled his hood down. I fell onto the ground and stared into his blue eyes. His shining blue eyes.

"You're.. you're a wolf." I mumbled, my eyes wide and eyebrows raised.

He smirks. "Smart girl. Now what are you doing here in this area huh?"

"Oh I.. uhmm I was just taking a walk. Walking home. Yeah. Just walking home." I stuttered.

"Did you visit someone?" The guy asked, not looking at me but at his sharp and dirty looking nails.

"Why.. uhmm why are you asking?" I said, while trying to get on my feet again.

"Sit." The guy said, putting his hand on my shoulder again and looking at me angrily. "Who did you visit?"

"A friend."

"Give me a name, girl."

"T.. uhmm..Ta.." Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.

"Tell me!" The guy shouted loudly, his face angry now and his eyes red.

"Taylor!" I shout. The red in his eyes disappeared quickly as he smirked at me now.

"Taylor. My friend. Shes my friend. You know.. uhmm gal pals." I stuttered, looking into his eyes. They were darker than Taylor's. Angrier. I certainly didn't like his eyes.

"Friends with Taylor?" The guy asked, raising his eyebrows.

"Yep." I answered, still sitting on the cold, moistly ground. The guy was still pressing his hand, hard on my shoulder.

"How odd." He said then, finally letting me go. I quickly get up my feet and turn around to walk away.

"Well it was nice to meet you." I said, quickly passing trough the forest.

"She bit you didn't she?" The guy asked as I hurried away.

"Why do you care?" I said, stopping for a bit but then walking further away from the guy again.

He was quiet for a while.

"Girls like you don't belong here.. pretty girl." The guy said finally, leaving me alone now as I heard his footsteps heading in another direction.

Who the hell is this guy?

I quickly walked out of the woods and towards my house to get dressed for work. When entering the house, I noticed I had a letter on my doorstep. My heart was still racing from the strange encounter with the weird wolf man.

"A letter? Thats so old school." I said out loud, getting the letter from the ground and ripping the envelope open.

I started reading the old, ancient looking handwriting and let out a deep breath.

"Stop visiting Taylor." Was all that was written.

"Okay. Creepy." I said as I tossed the letter and envelope into the garbage bin.

"What can happen to me anyway? Im becoming a fucking werewolf." I mumbled angrily as I walked up the stairs to get my working clothes. Totally exhausted and worn out already, and I hadn't even started working yet.

I quickly changed and walked downstairs again a few minutes later. I had decided to already put a bun in my hair and to put a little bit of mascara on. Its impossible to hide my shining green eyes, so I just told everyone I had some rare eye disease. And well, they all believed it. Humans can be so unknowing. Just like me. A few weeks ago I didn't even know werewolf's actually existed, outside of the fairytale books of course. And now Im becoming one.

"What a life." I said drily.

I walked down the stairs again, just thinking about how strange my life had become over a timespan of just a few weeks.

I grabbed my coat and walked out of my house again. It was still cold, I had hoped that it would warm up a little during the day. I closed the front door and turned around to see a wide eyed, blonde girl standing in my front yard.

"Taylor? What are you doing here?" I asked cheerfully, happy and relieved to see the pretty blonde. It had been so nice to see her every single day for three weeks now. We had really become closer. We had laughed a lot these past weeks. She is just so cute with her animal like behavior.

'God, I hope she likes me.' I found myself thinking yet again.

Stop Karlie. Shes a wolf.

So what? You're becoming one too. You're her 'true match' anyway.

Ugh

"Get inside." She hissed, while she pushed me back towards my house.

"What? Why?" I asked the stressful looking girl as I opened the door again with my keys and stepped inside the hallway. She quickly closed the door and pushed me further into the house.

"What the fuck Taylor.." I said as she pushed me onto the couch and sat down beside me.

"Did anything special or weird happen when you left the cabin this morning?" She asked seriously.

"Uhhm.. well this guy in the forrest came up to me. He had shining blue eyes so I know he's a wolf."

"Adam." I heard Taylor mumble quietly.

Why does she know this dick?

"What happened?" She then asked, looking strictly into my eyes.

"He stopped me and asked why I was visiting you and stuff." I explained.

"Wow. He let you go?" The blonde asked, her eyes even wider than before now.

"Uhmm, yeah." I answered, shrugging my shoulders slightly.

"Wow." She repeated. "Anything else?" She seemed really relieved.

"I received this letter saying that I should stop visiting you."

"Fuck. They know where you live already." She said softly, looking down at her hands now, her face worried.

"Who?" I asked, trying to get her to look back at me.

"K.. Karlie.. I'm so sorry.." She said, letting out a deep breath and putting her hands up to her face. "Were in so much shit." She whispered, barely audible.

"Taylor.." I said, putting my hand on her shoulder to try to calm her. "Who? What is happening? What are you talking about?"

"I.. I.." She stuttered, there were tears rolling down her cheeks now.

"Hey, its okay. Tell me. We will figure it out." I said as calm as I could.

"Its.." She let out a deep breath again, trying to relax herself. "The grey's."

"Grey's? As in Grey's Anatomy?" I said, trying to lighten up the mood and mostly trying to get the beautiful, mysterious girl sitting beside me to smile again.

And so she does. A small smile appears on her face as she said: "Okay, seriously Karlie, no time for jokes now."

"I just wanted to make you smile. Try to relax a bit please?" I said.

"The grey's.." She continued. "Its another pack. They only have purebred wolfs in their pack. They only want purebred's to be wolfs."

"Purebred?"

"Its the same as wolf born. Born as a wolf and not as a human. Like me." She explained. "So that means they don't like the humans that are bitten or well.. scratched that are becoming werewolf's. They only want purebred's. Pure wolfs."

"Ah." I said, not really knowing what she meant with this information. She looked at me in anticipation.

"So?" I said after a while of silence. She looked at me with her, scared, shining blue eyes.

"So. They want you gone Karlie." She said, her voice shaking. "Gone."

"Gone? What gone? What the hell did I do?" I asked, realizing what she meant now.

"They want you dead." She said, her voice strict. "They don't want non purebred's to be wolves, and if they are able to change that by killing you, they will."

"Oh my god." I said, brining my knees upon the couch to my chest. Fear overtaking my body.

"Fuck." I heard Taylor mumble. "Fuck, fuck, fuck."

"So why did this Adam guy not just kill me?" I asked then. "Why did he let me go?"

"It was a warning. They want you to leave the area."

"The area? I live here!" I said loudly, swinging my arms in the air, anger and fear taking over my body.

"Calm down Karlie, please." Taylor said, putting a hand on my back and stroking it. She had learned that this calmed me down in the past two weeks. It didn't work this time though, it was all too much.

"They want to kill me Taylor, don't you fucking tell me to calm down!" I shouted loudly at her, my arm swapping hers away.

"You're gonna wilden if you continue, we don't want what we had last week." Taylor softly explained, her voice soft and.. and broken.

Last week I had almost broken her whole cabin down. Smashing everything I could find, harshly to the ground. I had become angry when she had purposely throw a book to my head as some kind of 'training'. My werewolf self exploded and I wildened. Luckily Taylor eventually calmed me down and we cleaned the cabin together later.

I took a deep breath.

"Im sorry." I whispered after a while. "Its not your fault." I take her hand with mine and give it a light squeeze.

"It is." She said, not looking at me and moving her hand away from mine.

"Please, don't blame yourself. Im glad we met."

It stayed silent for a while then.

"We should stay away from each other. You should leave." She said then, her voice small as she looks down at her hands. I see another tear roll down her cheek.

"To where? This is my home. And I dont want to stay away from you."

"As far as possible. Im.. so scared that they'll do something to you." She said, finally looking at me. "They do horrible things, Karlie." Her eyes were completely filled with fear.

"Where do I go then?" I asked, uncertain about this whole ridiculous situation.

"I don't know." She said then, looking down. I took her hand in mine again and this time she let me.

"Im scared." I said, so soft that I wondered if she could even hear me.

"Me too." She said, looking up at me. She then laid her head on my shoulder.

"I don't even have a car." I say after a while. "How do I even get away?"

I felt her shrugging her shoulders.

"Karlie, this is not what I wanted." The blonde said, her voice cracking.

"I know." I said, kissing the top of her head. She smelled amazing. Like lavender mixed with vanilla and nice smelling wood.

"Come with me?" I asked bravely.

"You know I cant." She said.

It stayed silent for a while again.

"They'll immediately know I'm gone. They will wonder why I'm following this human born. They will know Karlie.. about.. uhmm.. about our.. match."

Silence.

"So? What if they know?"

"You're a human born. Thats not really.. accepted in our community." She explained, her head lifted up from my shoulder now as she looked into my eyes now.

"Taylor, you're a werewolf. Thats not exactly accepted in my community either." I said drily, making her giggle softly.

"Thats different."

"No it isn't."

And there we went again. Not a day would pass without us having one of these playful discussions. And I loved it. I loved it so much. I loved her voice while she tried to convince me of her point. And god, I adored her laugh when we both realized we were 'fighting' again.

We were quiet for a while again.

"I..I think I'm in lo.." I mumbled, stopping in the middle of the sentence.

"Uhmm.. I.. come with me?" I decided to ask again.

She looked into my eyes again. I moved my head forward a bit and stroked my cheek against hers softly, just like she did that first day in the cabin. She growled quietly.

"I..Karlie.. I." She stuttered as I leaned backwards again.

I looked into her pure, light blue eyes. My eyes shot down to her lips for a second. I had wanted to kiss those lips for all these weeks and it had been very hard not to. But now.. now nothing mattered anymore. Nothing but her and me.

I leaned forward slightly, still looking into those beautiful, mesmerizing eyes.

"Karlie, what are you.." The blonde started, but I interrupted her.

"Im going to kiss you. Because I think I'm in love with you."

She raised her eyebrows, our noses touched. Her cheeks were turning bright red.

"Okay?" I asked, a small smile on my face.

She nodded and I brought my hand up to her cheek and softly stroked it. She enjoyed the touch and leaned into my hand, a small growl escaping her mouth. We both smiled and then I closed my eyes to connect our lips together.

Her lips were soft as she pressed them onto mine. She brought her hands down to the small of my back and tried pulling me closer. Our lips moved together as I pushed her backwards a bit. I laid down on top of her as her hands moved underneath my shirt and she stroked my back.

Suddenly I felt a sharp pain in my back and I soon realized it were Taylor's nails.

"Fuck." She mumbled, moving her head backwards slightly, her voice low and raspy.

We pressed our foreheads together, looking into each other's eyes.

"You're gonna wilden if we continue kissing huh?" I asked, smiling at her, amused by the odd situation.

She was breathing really heavily and her eyes were turning darker.

"Please get off me." She whispered in panic. I quickly sat up and climbed off her.

"You're gonna be fine." I said, taking her hand in mine and giving it a squeeze. She continued her heavy breathing for a while until she seemed to relax again.

"See. You're fine." I said calmly.

"Im so sorry." She said, laying her head on my shoulder again. She seemed to enjoy that.

"The perks of kissing a werewolf." I said drily. She giggled, the angelic sound of her laughter filled my ears.

"You're a wolf yourself too." She said.

"Becoming one. That must be different with wildening maybe?"

"Could be. No idea." She simply answered.

We stayed quiet for a while again, letting the new discoveries and feelings sink in for a bit.

"You still have to go." Taylor said after a while, breaking the comfortable silence.

"Please come with me?" I asked, practically begging her.

"Karlie.." She breathed.

"I know." I said quietly. "I just don't want to lose you." I noticed that a few tears were rolling down my cheeks now. I was never someone who would cry soon, but the blonde girl was just so special to me.

"I don't want to lose you either." She said, her voice soft. "I.. think.. I'm in love with you too."

I couldn't help but smile a bit but soon realized this was all doomed to go wrong and so my smile turned into a frown. We stayed silent again.

"Don't you think its weird that this 'true match' thing is like.. well.. pretty accurate it seems." I said, trying to get the blonde to laugh again. I heard a sniff instead though as she moved her head off my shoulder.

"I.. Karlie.. we cant. I cant. You have to go. Its way too dangerous." She said, a tear making its way down her pretty face. I brought my hand up to her cheek and wipe the tear away. I then kissed her cheek softly.

"Take a bus to Coletown and then go as far as you can. You have to leave today Karlie. They know where you live." She said, taking my hands in hers and squeezing them. Her eyes were watering and multiple tears were rolling down her cheeks.

"What if they'll hurt you?" I asked the beautiful girl.

"Ill go back to my pack. Ill be okay." She said, looking down then.

"Taylor, I cant just leave you. When will we see each other then?" I said, my mind panicking and waterfalls streaming out of my eyes. She brought her hands up to my cheeks and wiped them away.

"You have to leave tonight." She said then, getting up from the couch.

"Please don't go." I said, grabbing her hand tightly.

"Good luck. Please be safe." She said, untangling her hand from mine and walking to the front door then.

"Taylor.. please.." I whispered, but she had already left my house as I heard the front door close.

"I need you."
